Homocon Kevin DuJan Is Very Upset That "Perverts" Might View Porn At The Library

We haven't heard much from Chicago homocon Kevin DuJan lately as he appears to have abandoned his Sarah Palin fan site. He hasn't posted there in six months and his co-blogger Megan Fox hasn't posted since September. (Of course, Tea Party sites such as World Net Daily continue to repeat DuJan's infamous claim that President Obama goes to bathhouses.) The current obsession for Fox and DuJan is that a Chicago area library is letting "perverts" view porn on its computers. Via the Chicago Tribune:
Fox wrote a letter to Orland Park library officials and followed up at a library board meeting last month, confronting officials about their policy and posting a video online of the meeting that has been viewed nearly 10,000 times. The Orland Park Public Library cites the First Amendment in explaining why it allows patrons to look up anything — including pornography — on its adult-only computers so long as the material isn't illegal or obscene. "Let's see how long their so-called First Amendment rights to porn can stand up against angry parents," said Fox, who lives in a nearby suburb but said she uses the Orland Park library often. "Who do they think they are?" "We do not filter access to our adult computer area," library spokeswoman Bridget Bittman said. "We believe people have a right to access that legal information."
Here's the clip mentioned above by the Tribune. That's DuJan with the camera. I made a comment yesterday over at YouTube and it was instantly deleted, of course.

Porn Shaming

If you are found viewing porn on the computers at public libraries in Quincy, Massachusetts, City Councilman Daniel Raymondi wants to shame you by publishing your name in the local newspaper. Via the American Family Association's OneNewsNow:
"We have valuable taxpayer resources, in my judgment, being abused by people who violate a library policy against visiting pornographic sites, and this is no accident," he reports. Daniel RaymondiHe further notes his concern that women, children, and other passers-by might be offended by the practice, so he wants to publish the names of policy violators in the local newspaper as a way of shaming them into stopping. That list, he says, would include people who have violated the policy on more than one occasion but have refused to stop, even after receiving a number of warnings.
Raymondi says he's not worried about libel or slander suits that may arise from his plan.

Wingnuts Go After Teen Sex Advice Mag

Over the complaints of more than 100 parents, Ames, Iowa is backing a librarian's decision that a sex advice magazine written by and for teenagers remain on the shelves. The above image is a screen shot from magazine's website.
A teen sex magazine will stay on the shelves at the Ames Public Library despite a petition signed by more than 100 parents objecting to the publication. The Ames Library Board voted 6-1 to support library Director Art Weeks' recommendation to keep the magazine Sex, Etc., in the teen section. The magazine is written by and for teens under the oversight of Answer, a national sexuality organization at Rutgers University. It addresses teen sexuality issues, substance abuse and eating disorders. Copies are placed out two at a time for teens to take home without requiring sign-out. A petition objecting the magazine was signed by 118 parents who said it was too explicit and was being given priority over other publications.
Freepers react:

-"It would be a shame if 100 people went to the library each week and each took 2 or 3 books off the New Releases shelf and sauntered out the door accidentally forgetting to check out the books. A loss of 2-300 books each week for a month or two would really be noticeable."
-"The NEA, Librarian Pedophiles, Gays targeting new recruits and Democrats in general delight in the sickening society."
-"The parents should use guerilla warfare. Start sticking gum between the pages of the mag whenever they go to the library."
-"I hope the library’s fire insurance is paid up."

That last one sounds like a terrorist threat! Call the FBI!
