LOUISIANA: Teabagger Duck Dynasty Kin Zach Dasher Loses Bid For US House

Dasher, whose campaign slogan was "My platform begins with God," was seeking to unseat sanctity of marriage champion GOP Rep. Vince McAllister, who was busted cheating on his wife earlier this year. Both finished behind Democrat Jamie Mayo and Republican Ralph Abraham, who will now proceed to a December runoff. McAllister spent less than a year in the House after winning a 2013 special election to replace retiring GOP Rep. Rodney Alexander.

LOUISIANA: GOP Rep. Vance McAllister Says His Christian Wife Forgives His Cheating So Send Him Back To Congress

Philandering opposite marriage champion Vance McAllister wants you to know that his "Christian wife" is giving him a second chance. Therefore the voters of Louisiana should do the same. Praise! Glory! As I noted earlier today, McCallister is up against five other GOP candidates in the primary, including Zach Dasher, the nephew of Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson.

LA Gov. Bobby Jindal Calls On GOP Rep. Vance McAllister To Resign Over Affair

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal yesterday called on first term GOP Rep. Vance McAllister to resign after being exposed in an affair with a now-fired staffer. Joining the call is Louisiana state GOP chairman Roger Villere.
Gov. Bobby Jindal, R-La., called the congressman's behavior an embarrassment. "Congressman McAllister says he wants privacy to work on his issues with his family. The best way to get privacy and work on putting his family back together is to resign from Congress," Jindal said. Meanwhile, state GOP chairman Roger Villere issued a blistering statement calling on McAllister to resign, but so far, the 40-year-old freshman congressman was rejecting the calls for him to immediately give up his seat. "Mr. McAllister's extreme hypocrisy is an example of why ordinary people are fed up with politics. A breach of trust of this magnitude can only be rectified by an immediate resignation," Villere said. "He has embarrassed our party, our state and the institution of Congress," the chairman continued.
The above-linked report notes that Villere did not call for the resignation of Sen. David "Diaper Boy" Vitter when he was exposed for patronizing prostitutes. McAllister ran on a platform of conservative Christian family values and the defense of "natural marriage." Some believe that his affair was exposed in retaliation for being "soft" on Obamacare.

Husband Of Woman Filmed Making Out With Christian GOP Rep Speaks Out

"I know his beliefs. When he ran one of his commercials, he said 'I need your prayers,' and I asked, 'When did you get religious?' He said, 'When I needed votes.' He broke out the religious card and he's about the most non-religious person I know. He's apologized to everyone in the world except me. I’m just freaking devastated by the whole deal, man. I loved my wife so much. I cannot believe this. I cannot freaking believe it. I feel like I’m going to wake up here in a minute and this is all going to be a bad nightmare. It was just a kiss, that was all it was, but it embarrassed me and my family." - Heath Peacock, the husband of the woman caught on video making out with "conservative Christian" and gay marriage opponent Rep. Vance McAllister, who yesterday begged for privacy during this fucking embarrassing time. (Tipped by JMG reader Dwight)
