Married Anti-Gay Missouri GOP House Speaker Busted For Sexting With College Freshman: "I'll Leave You Quivering"

Earlier this year the Missouri affiliate of the Family Research Council celebrated GOP House Speaker John Diehl after he filed an anti-gay marriage amicus brief with the Eighth Circuit Court. Today the FRC is very, very quiet after the opposite-married Diehl was busted for sexting with a barely legal college intern. Via the Kansas City Star:
The conversations unveil a flirty rapport and suggest an intimacy between arguably the state’s most influential lawmaker and a young woman taking some pleasure in a secret association. The texts show occasional efforts by Diehl and the intern to meet in person. They range from mundane chatter, about boring meetings and dreading speeches, to the more sexually suggestive. Diehl declined to comment. The intern, who has hired an attorney specializing in employment matters, told The Star that the text messages were not real. Meantime, she has told confidants that she had an ongoing relationship with Diehl. Multiple sources helped The Star confirm that the screenshots of the texts, which show Diehl’s business cellphone number, originated from the intern’s smartphone. The text conversations also included photographs of each of them. And others who know Diehl well said they recognized the language and tone of the conversations from their own text exchanges with him.
The unnamed freshman attends Missouri Southern State University, which has abruptly canceled its internship program with the state government. Diehl and his wife of 23 years have three children and his eldest son attends West Point. Diehl last appeared on JMG when he sponsored a bill to ban gay-straight alliance clubs in public schools. SURVEY: 30% Of Tinder Users Are Married

Via Business Insider:
Tinder shot to fame as a dating app for tech-savvy single people. Except, as it turns out, a big chunk of its users may not be single after all. That's according to the research firm GlobalWebIndex (GWI), which released some figures on Tinder from its latest survey of more than 47,000 internet users around the world that suggest the app has a wider demographic. In fact, the research claims that 30% of Tinder users surveyed are married, while another 12% are in a relationship. Fifty-four percent classed themselves as single, while 3% were divorced or widowed. Tinder may also be a digital stomping ground for married men, judging by GWI's claim that 62% of its users are male and 38% female. The research also shows, unsurprisingly, that Tinder's users are a relatively young crowd, with 38% aged between 16 and 24, and 45% between 25 and 34. Thirteen percent are aged 35 to 44, 3% are 45 to 54, and 1% are 55 to 64 — though if reports in late 2014 that Tinder had 50 million active users were true, that would still indicate half a million people in that oldest age category surveyed.
What percentage of Grindr users are not single?

TEXAS: Five-Times Married GOP State Rep Files Complaint Against Wrong Judge

From an op-ed in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram:
State Rep. Tony Tinderholt of Arlington is a soldier, not a lawyer. For proof, look no further than his scrawled complaint against a state district judge. Tinderholt, a retired Army major elected by Tea Party voters, didn’t like the judge letting two women get married after 30 years. Only one couple got married, right after a different judge in a Travis County probate court threw out Texas’ ban on same-sex marriage. Tinderholt wrote out a two-paragraph complaint to the State Commission on Judicial Conduct. Then his staff called reporters. But Tinderholt’s publicity ploy had problems: First, he complained about the wrong judge and case. Then, he applied the law the wrong way in his complaint. Had he managed to apply the law the right way to the right judge, he still would have come out wrong. Tinderholt, 44 and in his fifth marriage, said in a published statement that he wants a judicial system that “respects the laws” and separation of powers, as if judges shouldn’t declare the Texas Legislature’s laws unconstitutional without prior permission from the Legislature.
It was Probate Judge Guy Herman who ruled the Texas ban to be unconstitutional and state District Judge David Wahlberg who ordered the Travis County Clerk to issue a license. But tell that to Texas Values:
State Rep. Tony Tinderholt has filed a judicial conduct complaint against state District Judge David Wahlberg with the State Commission on Judicial Conduct. The complaint alleges that Judge Wahlberg violated Texas law by not giving the Texas Attorney General’s office notice that a constitutional provision of Texas marriage law was being challenged in court, a state law requirement under the Texas Government Code, Chapter 402. This illegal maneuver allowed the Judge Wahlberg to rule quickly without the State being present to defend the law, exactly the reason for the state law procedure, to prevent such unethical tactics. Last week, Judge Wahlberg then ordered the Travis County Clerk to issue a marriage license to the lesbian couple, in violation of Texas law, and also waived the normal 72 hour waiting period requirement before a marriage can occur after a license is obtained.
The above-linked op-ed points out that Judge Herman did notify Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton back in January. Paxton declined to get involved in the case. Tinderholt's current wife is a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader.

Sanctity Of Marriage Alert: Reality Show Features Couples Who Meet At The Altar

The Hollywood Reporter rips into the new show:
For those who don't think ABC's The Bachelor escalates fast enough between meeting up and marriage, there now is FYI's Married at First Sight, on which three couples meet at their weddings, then have four weeks to decide whether they want to stay married. The concept is based on a popular Danish series and apparently a desire to make the idea of marriage as frivolous as possible. And, at a time when the definition and legalities of marriage are at the forefront of national conversations, it also seems particularly callous. Married at First Sight is one of more than six series that will, for better or worse, define the new FYI network. Parent company A&E appears to be throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks, calling FYI (formerly known as Biography) a "hyphen network: creating-tasting-designing-loving-life." The I in FYI also is mutable, standing for "inspiration, imagination, innovation" (basically, I like whatever you like).
The show debuts tonight.

Husband Of Woman Filmed Making Out With Christian GOP Rep Speaks Out

"I know his beliefs. When he ran one of his commercials, he said 'I need your prayers,' and I asked, 'When did you get religious?' He said, 'When I needed votes.' He broke out the religious card and he's about the most non-religious person I know. He's apologized to everyone in the world except me. I’m just freaking devastated by the whole deal, man. I loved my wife so much. I cannot believe this. I cannot freaking believe it. I feel like I’m going to wake up here in a minute and this is all going to be a bad nightmare. It was just a kiss, that was all it was, but it embarrassed me and my family." - Heath Peacock, the husband of the woman caught on video making out with "conservative Christian" and gay marriage opponent Rep. Vance McAllister, who yesterday begged for privacy during this fucking embarrassing time. (Tipped by JMG reader Dwight)

Tea Party Defender Of Traditional Marriage Busted Wrecking His Traditional Marriage

Freshman Rep. Vance McAllister (R-LA), who campaigned on a platform of "defending our Christian way of life" and on the "defense of natural marriage" has been caught on video making out with a young female staffer. Local news outlets are speculating about an affair. McAllister has issued the usual statement asking for privacy while his family gets through this extremely fucking embarrassing time.
There’s no doubt I’ve fallen short and I’m asking for forgiveness. I’m asking for forgiveness from God, my wife, my kids, my staff and my constituents who elected me to serve. Trust is something I know has to be earned whether you’re a husband, a father or a congressman. I promise to do everything I can to earn back the trust of everyone I’ve disappointed. From day one, I’ve always tried to be an honest man. I ran for Congress to make a difference and not just be another politician.
McAllister was elected in November 2013 special election after GOP Rep. Rodney Alexander resigned to join the administration of Gov. Bobby Jindal. During his campaign McAllister sought and received the endorsement of the Duck Dynasty clan.

Sanctity Of Marriage Alert

A radio station in Calgary (birthplace of Ted Cruz) is running a contest:
This Valentine's Day we're helping you get over the blues of being single...We're going to get you married! If you're ready to take the plunge, we will marry you to a complete stranger on Friday, February 14th with Ryan & Katie then you will hop on a plane with your new spouse to spend the weekend in Vancouver on your honeymoon and will get to see Miley Cyrus live at BC Place on Valentine's Day. After the exciting honeymoon you will fly back to Calgary where you will get to decide if you want to stay together or get a divorce after the 90.3 hours. Don't worry only one of you has to say 'yes' so you wont be stuck with them forever... at the very least you get to see Miley Cyrus live and a weekend in Vancouver!
The station generously notes that they don't care "what your sexual preference is." Ugh. I'm sure the right will find a way, therefore, to blame this on us. And on Miley Cyrus, of course.

Headline Of The Day

As we've seen a thousand times here in America, the guilty dog always barks the loudest.
A top Tory politician who claimed marriage could only work between “one man and one woman” is today exposed as a cheating husband. Ambitious MP Bob Blackman had an 11-year affair behind devoted wife Nicola’s back, his former mistress reveals. Carol Shaw tells how he used to sneak away from home for regular Friday afternoon romps with her when they were both Tory councillors. She says they also had sex in his marital bed and at an office where he worked.

Carol, 62, kept a lid on their affair until the outspoken right-winger controversially waded into the debate on gay marriage earlier this month. After Blackman, 58, insisted marriage had to be “between one man and one woman” his infuriated secret ex-lover decided enough was enough. “I couldn’t believe a man who had an affair with me for over 11 years could have the cheek to preach about the sanctity of marriage,” she told the Sunday Mirror.
Earlier this month Blackman called for the return of Section 28, a Thatcher-era bill which forbade the mention of homosexuality as a "pretended family relationship" in public schools. Blackman:
"A very small number of people have same-sex relationships where children are involved… there may be some. The key point is what is happening in schools particularly to very young children, what they’re educated and what they’re told. I was one of those that strongly believed that Section 28 was the right rules to have in school so that we should not promote in any way shape or form promote same-sex relationships, I still abide by that and feel thats the right way forward, and if teachers are forced to say same-sex relationships are equivalent to heterosexual relationships I’d be very opposed to that.”

Quote Of The Day - Rush Limbaugh

"I found myself in an elevator with Mrs. Clinton once. It was at a wedding, Brooklyn, doors locked, she hits the stop button. She said, 'Oh Rush, I've wanted to see you for so long, and nobody would believe it. Would you, would you make a real woman out of me?' I said, 'Sure, let's take off our clothes.' So I took mine off, and I pointed and I said, 'Now fold them.'" - Rush Limbaugh, speaking on yesterday's radio show.

GOP Rep. Scott "Sanctity Of Marriage" DesJarlais Exposed As Serial Adulterer

Rep. Scott DesJarlais (R-TN), who swept into Congress in the 2010 Tea Party wave, has been exposed as an adulterer many, many times over. DesJarlais is an ardent supporter of "God-given traditional marriage." His campaign website adds "AND PROUD OF IT!" Today's news comes via his just-released divorce files.
Obtained by the Chattanooga Times Free Press, the couple’s 2001 trial transcript also confirms DesJarlais had sexual relationships with at least two patients, three coworkers and a drug representative while he was chief of staff at Grandview Medical Center in Jasper, Tenn. During one affair with a female patient, DesJarlais prescribed her drugs, gave her an $875 watch and bought her a plane ticket to Las Vegas, records show. DesJarlais spokesman Robert Jameson did not respond to requests for comment. The attorney for the congressman's ex-wife said that at this point she does not have any comments to issue on her ex-husband's testimony. The transcript corroborates accounts given to the Times Free Press in October by one of the patients who had a sexual relationship with DesJarlais. The newspaper continues to grant her anonymity, along with all the women due to the nature of the testimony.
The bigger news, for most people following this story, is that the (publicly) strongly anti-choice DesJarlais supported his ex-wife's decision to get two abortions before they married. He also, allegedly, pressured one of his mistresses to do the same. Some are speculating that he may resign.

Arizona Attorney General Tom "Sanctity Of Marriage" Horne Exposed As Adulterer

Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne, one of the state's most vocal opponents of same-sex partner rights, has been exposed (by the FBI, no less) as an adulterer.
Tom Horne caused more than $1,000 worth of damage when he clipped another car in a parking garage and just drove off, in order, according to FBI agents, to conceal an affair he was having with his passenger. Phoenix police records obtained Tuesday include detailed witness accounts by FBI agents who were following Horne, Arizona's attorney general, on March 27 as part of a campaign finance investigation. They said they watched him back his borrowed vehicle into a white Range Rover in the parking garage of a Phoenix residential complex. FBI agents said that after the fender-bender, Horne and the woman, since identified as Carmen Chenal, who works for Horne, walked off and entered the residential area of the complex where Chenal lives.
In August, Horne filed a lawsuit with the U.S. Supreme Court, demanding that Arizona be allowed to repeal domestic partners insurance for state employees. In his suit, Horne claimed that rescinding benefits for gay employees would be good for Arizona tourism because doing so "furthers the State’s interest in promoting marriage." In addition to the investigation into Horne's campaign finances, there are charges that the employee he's been adulterously fucking was hired despite having no qualifications for the job. Quote Of The Day - Jerry Falwell Jr.

"Donald Trump has publicly expressed his support for our university’s mission to preserve the founding values of our nation. In the wake of the greatest expansion of government since FDR, Mr. Trump stepped right into the bull’s-eye and used his platform to fight for the preservation of capitalism, the free market, and limited government. He did numerous speeches, called out the president and congress by name, and was willing to say publicly what many conservatives were only saying privately.

"Trump is one of the nation‘s foremost proponent’s of fiscal conservatism, a value upon which this university, and our Schools of Law, Business, and Government, are staunchly committed, and have always been committed. A proponent of these values is a friend of Liberty University." - Jerry Falwell Jr, announcing that Trump will speak at his school. Presumably Trump won't mention being thrice-married.

Four Times Married Drug Addict Rush Limbaugh Defends Sanctity Of Marriage

"Now Christianity has to be banned, and that’s where this is all headed. All this stuff at Chick-fil-A, the target is Christianity, not Chick-fil-A. The target is freedom of religion. [With] Obama and Obamacare, the target is always freedom. When we’re talking about liberals, the target is always freedom. Dan Cathy, the head honcho of Chick-fil-A, he’s not making a political statement when he talks about the values the company believes in. It gets interpreted that way because the left has politicized gay marriage." - Rush Limbaugh.

RELATED: We're still waiting for Limbaugh to fulfill his 2010 promise to move to Costa Rica should the Affordable Healthcare Act pass. Not incidentally, Costa Rica provides universal health care. While Costa is ranked 50th in per capita health care expenditures, its medical system rates higher than the United States, which spends the most per person.

Megachurch Pastor Jack Schaap Fired Over Adulterous Affair With Teenage Girl

Indiana's First Baptist Church, which is one of the twenty largest megachurches in the nation, has fired head Pastor Jack Schaap for an adulterous affair with the teenaged girl. The church has issued a press release:
At this time, we deeply regret the need to announce that First Baptist Church has dismissed our pastor, Dr. Jack Schaap, due to a sin that has caused him to forfeit his right to be our pastor. First Baptist Church is in full cooperation with our local authorities in their investigation of this matter. Our church grieves over the need to take this action and the impact it will have on our people.
The horrified Christian Post reports that Schaap may be arrested.
Lake County Sheriff John Buncich shared with local publication the Times of North West Indiana that a criminal investigation had been launched into the church along with Hyles-Anderson College, although he declined to comment on what specifically they were looking into. "They met with us. They did the right thing," Buncich said of church officials. "They have cooperated fully." A detective involved in the investigation also has reportedly said that there are indeed criminal charges being made, since if the case solely concerned adultery with another woman, the police would not have to get involved.
Friendly Atheist points out that Schaap has written a dating advice book for young Christian girls.
By all means, keep your weight down to the proper level. Hundreds upon hundreds of times I have had young men tell me that they would date a particular girl in whom they were interested if only she would lose a few pounds. Fix your hair every day. Go to the library, study books on hair care and find new ways to wear your hair. Don’t be afraid to wear modest amounts of make-up. But, be very careful about using excessive eye shadow. Many guys are turned off by dark or colored eye shadow. Don’t be trendy. One of my best friends in college nearly broke up with his future wife because she was the first to wear colored stockings among her peers.
VIDEO: Here's Schaap talking about how men should be the unyielding masters of their women. Particularly the very young ones, it turns out.
