Teabagistan's always classy and erudite Daily Caller (owned by Tucker Carlson) today published a before-and-after slideshow of prominent Democrats with the above headline.
Back in 2008 it was fun. Daring. Exciting. The rush was unbelievable. The visuals? Man, this dope is like the best parts of coke and acid. Plus all the cool kids were doing it, but, like, for real — not in a cliche way, ya know? Young guys and pretty girls from Silicon Valley. All the actors and stuff. Hell, it even made old fogies like Kerry and Reid feel young. We all remember how hard it was to convince Hillary to give it a try, but after she’d had a hit, man, it was like she was flying. Just untouchable. But things turned south quick. The high was fleeting. It just couldn’t take anyone to those soaring heights anymore. We were all left chasing the hit, never quite catching it.According to Daily Caller, Jesse Jackson, Hillary Clinton, Harry Reid, John Kerry, and US Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power (above) all have meth-face after five years of Obama.

"Only Mr. Weiner’s tech-savvy campaign throbs through its veins with populist sentiment. The former congressman lasted even when his competitors told him to finish early. His moderate leadership will offer the city protection. Unlike past mayors, he will reach around the table to deal with both parties, rather than passing reforms through the back door. This man is firm in his beliefs, and he is not afraid to sweat. When he unloads his policy ideas, people swallow. The voters of New York are swallowing his message whole. Mr. Weiner is not one to go down." - From the editorial board of the wingnut Daily Caller.

This is how the story is told on the wingnut Daily Caller:
It’s a dog named “Sunny.” Apparently it’s a girl and it was born in 2012 in Michigan, where the unemployment rate was 8.8 percent last month. It is the Obamas’ second dog, after “Bo.” A Portuguese Water Dog can range in cost wildly. On average, one will pay between $1,400 and $2,000. President Barack Obama has this breed of animal, according to an answer on Ask.com. With the addition of Sunny, the Obamas now have two black Portuguese water dogs. The Obamas do not have any white dogs. You cannot make it up, folks.

Tucker Carson's Daily Caller today issued a tweet referring to RNC chair Reince Priebus by an acronym that stands for "head (N-word) in charge." The tweet was later deleted but not before it was picked up by Gawker, Wonkette, and others. Even the wingnuts at Twitchy are disappointed. Apparently Daily Caller was trying to riff on the fact that there's a rapper named Rhymes Priebus.

Not only is former Daily Caller reporter Matthew Boyle in a world of shit over his collapsing claims against Sen. Robert Menendez, this weekend on Breitbart he broke a sacrosanct ethic of journalism by revealing the spring break location of the president's daughters. Joan Walsh goes ballistic:
Unfortunately for the untalented Mr. Boyle, journalists have a consensus about not revealing the location of the presidents’ children’s vacations. Reporters don’t write about minor first children except when they’re attending “official or semi-official events.” It’s considered a security risk. When Agence-France Presse wrote about Malia’s trip to Mexico last year, a few U.S. outlets picked it up, and the administration tried to get the details removed. Then an earthquake in Mexico made the first daughter’s vacation newsworthy, and other sites, justifiably, reported it. A year later, along comes the brave Matthew Boyle, fresh off his Menendez humiliation, to tell Breitbart readers about the Obama girls’ vacation. The news hook seems to be that it’s a waste of money. Then Walsh gets to Boyle's real motiviation:
The theme of most right-wing stories on Sasha, Malia and Michelle Obama’s vacations and leisure-time activities seems to be that they’re entitled princesses, when they do exactly the same kinds of things other presidents’ families have done throughout history. There’s only one difference I can see.At this writing Boyle is crying on Twitter: "Joan Walsh is calling me a racist!" It's worth your time to read Walsh's full story.

The shit is really hitting the fan for Tucker Carlson's wingnut Daily Caller and its months-long campaign to bring down Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ). The Daily Caller writer who launched the story and followed up with daily outraged updates is Matthew Boyle, who recently jumped ship for Breitbart. Boyle and I have occasionally exchanged tweets on various subjects, but after the Menendez story began to fall apart a few weeks ago, he stopped responding to my questions about it. Since then Boyle, usually a many-times-per-day tweeter, has gone almost silent. Hit any of the above headlines for the stories.
