Alan Keyes: Charleston Massacre Was Actually An Act Of Pro-Gay Terrorism
Alan Keyes teleported in from his home planet today to declare that the Charleston massacre was not a racist act but one meant to terrify Christians who support traditional marriage.

BROOKLYN: Local Tea Party Founder Busted For Possession Of Child Porn
Via the New York Post:
An ultra-conservative one-time Brooklyn city council candidate — whose campaign slogan was “Our children are our future” — has been nabbed for possessing and sharing kiddie porn, prosecutors said Friday. Joseph Hayon, 37, was arrested Thursday and admitted to police that he traded the sick pics of kids between the ages of 2 and 12 in December 2014 using his email account ArtModel@juno.com, according to a criminal complaint. At his arraignment in Brooklyn Criminal Court, prosecutors said a tip led police to search Hayon’s Midwood home, where the stash of child porn was found. Cops confiscated Hayon’s two laptops, five desktops, video camera, Samsung cellphone and one DVD, prosecutors said. He was also slapped with an order of protection Friday barring him from coming in contact with his four children, ages 9, 7, 4 and 15 months. He was released on $50,000 bail.Hayon is the founder of the Brooklyn Tea Party. He ran for the NYC Council in 2009 and 2013, losing both times. A recap of his 2009 campaign platform reveals that he intended to sponsor legislation ordering NYC to disobey then-Gov. David Patterson's directive for state agencies to recognize out-of-state same-sex marriages. (How would that have worked, exactly?) Hayon also vowed to "make all public library staff criminally responsible for making any form of electronic obscenity available to minors." Ahem. And then there's the usual Tea Party anti-trans, anti-gay bloviating about indoctrinating children, plus something about requiring that kosher grape juice be made available to people on food stamps. National Review Has Notorious RBG Sadz: She Totally Destroys The Rule Of Law
Check out this closing paragraph:
“The Notorious R.B.G.” is not the beneficiary of a grand expansion of imagination, a leap to a higher plane of Being. She is the result of an ideology of womanhood that has been militantly enforced on American politics and culture over the past half-century, not by latter-day Susan B. Anthonys but by knockoff Betty Friedans. Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s own service has been to impose that ideology on the law not from a seat in the legislature, but from her perch on the judges’ bench. By doing so, she has helped to legitimize the reduction of the Constitution and the entire judicial apparatus to an instrument for political gain, and to enshrine a vision of modern womanhood that cheerfully eviscerates any woman who believes otherwise. The Left thinks that is something to be celebrated?Good grief.

Ben Shapiro Leaves TruthRevolt
Via the Washington Examiner:
Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro has resigned as editor-in-chief of TruthRevolt, a non-profit news website site that he co-founded just two years ago. Shapiro's departure from the young media group, which he launched in 2013 along with David Horowitz of the David Horowitz Freedom Center, comes amid the group's decision to let go of many of its writers — and as Horowitz is hitting back against widespread rumors that the site is sinking. Although Shapiro's name is prominently displayed on the website's homepage, it is nevertheless a "project of the David Horowitz Freedom Center." Horowitz himself owns the site. "I am no longer associated with [TruthRevolt] and it's a project of the David Horowitz Freedom Center, fully owned and operated by them," Shapiro told the Washington Examiner's media desk when asked about the future of the website. "What David Horowitz chooses to do with the site after my resignation is out of my purview."The above-linked article goes on at some length to claim that today is the final day for TruthRevolt, but this morning they announced a new editor. Shapiro's name has vanished from title banner. The stated mission of TruthRevolt is to "unmask leftists in the media for who they are, destroy their credibility with the American public, and devastate their funding bases." NYC Transit To Ban All Political Ads Just To Stop Pam Geller's "Killing Jews" Campaign
Via CBS New York:
The nation's largest mass transit system is preparing to ban all political advertising on its subways and buses after a judge ruled that a pro-Israel group was allowed to display an advertisement containing the phrase "Hamas Killing Jews" on New York City buses. The resolution is expected to pass Wednesday at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's board meeting after the finance committee approved it earlier in the week. The cash-strapped agency says such advertising only accounts for less than $1 million of its annual advertising revenue of $138 million. "Advertisements expressing viewpoint messages, regardless of the viewpoint being expressed, would no longer be accepted," the MTA's general counsel, Jerome Page, told the committee on Monday. New York is following in the footsteps of cities including Los Angeles, Chicago and Philadelphia, which already have banned political ads on public transit, Page said. Philadelphia banned political ads after a federal court judge last month sided with a New Hampshire based non-profit on its claim that it has a first amendment right to run bus ads linking Muslims to Hitler.(Tipped by JMG reader Todd)

Wingnuts Have Fifty Shades Of Sadz
Via press release:
Americans should boycott "Fifty Shades of Grey" on Valentine's Day, say more than 60,000 signatories and a growing coalition of groups that accused NBC Universal of "using a romantic holiday to promote a movie about abuse and degradation." The news organization LifeSiteNews, joined by the National Center on Sexual Exploitation, the Family Research Council, and the website Counter Cultured, released the following statement on Monday about the controversial movie.Bill Donohue has joined in, saying that the movie is an attempt to "normalize sexual deviance" and will lead to people shoving light bulbs up their ass. Seriously.
"Feminists and social conservatives agree: "Fifty Shades of Grey" promotes misogyny, abuse, and manipulation, not relationships based upon mutual love and respect," said the coalition. "This film normalizes and glamorizes behaviors such as stalking, threats and physical violence. Its portrayal of relationships and sex is offensive to real life victims of domestic abuse. The film sets a particularly dangerous example for younger viewers, who may not understand that attractive, charismatic young billionaire Christian Grey is also an abusive sociopath, especially since victim/narrator Anastasia Steele continually describes and portrays him as a god."

Wingnut Dennis Prager: Campaign Against Rape Is A Liberal Lie To Get Votes
"It’s a gargantuan lie to get votes. It’s as big a lie as the 'culture of rape' on your campuses. What nonsense. There is a culture of rape on campuses run by the feminist left? What do you cite to sell me this nonsense? One in five women are sexually assaulted on campuses. Do you know what sexual assault means? Did you ever look at what counts? An unwanted kiss is considered sexual assault. I’m stunned it’s only one in only. Four out of five women have not gotten an unwanted kiss? My wife gets unwanted kisses every so often. They make light of rape because they redefine these terms. We don’t make light of it. We think it is the worst thing possible short of murder. But they make light of it by trivializing it. Culture of Rape? No. I’ll tell you why it exists on the campus, and that is: a rape of the culture." - Right wing crackpot Dennis Prager, at a rally to support Florida Gov. Rick Scott. Wonkette notes that the Scott's campaign did not organize the rally.

Best Cities For Liberals & Conservatives
Livability has compiled a list of the best places to live if you are liberal or conservative. Via press release:
Our editors, working with advisory board member Kevin Stolarick, Ph.D, (the founding research director of the Martin Prosperity Institute at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management) and using data from several geographies, gauged the ideological skew of the congressional representation of a city. They utilized nonpartisan watchdog GovTrack’s analysis of the members of the House of Representatives on a conservative/liberal spectrum. Then, using data from Esri, editors looked at how residents of each city self-report their own political leanings on a five-point scale from very liberal to very conservative. The last piece of the political puzzle was the splits in the vote during the 2012 presidential election. In addition, our editors asked Experian Marketing Services to help create a basket of goods -- one restaurant, one automotive brand, one magazine, one retailer and one TV show – that are heavily favored by one end of the political spectrum or another. They then backtracked and found areas where people uses those goods and services to a high degree.

Wingnuts: Obama Has Catfished America
Via TIME Magazine:
An outside Republican group, Americans for Shared Prosperity, is running a new ad that compares President Obama to a bad boyfriend. The 60-second spot features a woman talking about a man she met online in 2008 with a seemingly perfect profile: “smart, handsome, charming articulate.” But since, their relationship has soured. AFSP bashes Obama for recent NSA spying scandals and the president’s foreign policy as if they were personal transgressions. “He’s in my emails and text messages, spying on me but ignoring real threats,” the woman says. The ad goes on to critique Obamacare: “He thinks the only thing I care about is free birth control, but he won’t even let me keep my doctor.”Critics are saying that the ad echoes the recent NFL-related #WhyIStayed social media campaign in which the victims of domestic abuse explain why they remained in abusive relationships.
