Evil Alabama Mother Still Won't Let Dead Son's Husband Have His Estate

Remember Patricia Fancher, the evil Alabama mother who hired the Foundation For Moral Law to petition SCOTUS to keep her former son-in-law, Paul Hard, from inheriting his dead husband's estate? Despite the Obergefell ruling, she is still fighting. From the FML's executive director Matthew Kidd:

"The issue is not whether someone may marry a member of the same sex today. The issue is whether a court may or should look back four years and recognize a marriage that was not legally valid. Of course, if the marriage is recognized it will only cause further economic harm to a family which has already lost one its own. And if recognized, this man will be awarded an entire spousal share of the wrongful death proceeds which would be unjust even under normal circumstances considering the two were 'married' less than 3 months."

"It is outrageous that five unelected lawyers on the U.S. Supreme Court think they can invalidate a constitutional amendment adopted by 81% of Alabama voters in 2006, on the flimsy ground that violates a so-called 'right' found nowhere in the Constitution. It adds insult to injury to contend that this so-called 'right' should be applied retroactively to matters that should have been settled long ago."

Back in November 2014 the Social Security Administration advised Paul Hard that since he and his late husband were not married "under the laws of Alabama," he is not eligible for federal death benefits. In February 2015, when same-sex marriage first became legal in Alabama, Paul Hard was granted an amended death certificate declaring him to have been the legal spouse of his late husband. That's when Hard's evil former mother-in-law employed the FML in an attempt to thwart Hard's receipt of his share of the settlement in a wrongful death suit filed following his late husband's car accident. According to yesterday's press release, the FML is now claiming that Obergefell does not retroactively apply to unsettled legal actions. Not incidentally, the FML openly advocates for replacing the government of the United States with a Christian theocracy ruled by "biblical law."

Today's FRC Marriage Fast Prayer: Maybe It Would Better Just To Drown Gay Parents

The Family Research Council's 21-day fast against same-sex marriage is in its second week and today's prayer opens with a scripture which suggests that might be better to drown gay parents than have children grow up in such a household.

But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Matthew 18:6. God, please intervene to protect the children who, if forced to grow up in same-sex households, apart from the true nurture and admonition of the Lord and with a distorted view of God, the Bible and the family. Have mercy upon those who are already in such circumstances (Gen 18:19; Dt 11:16-21; Jn 21:15; Eph 6:4). Preserve, protect and save these and yet unborn children who will be and already are being adopted into these unnatural households (Is 59:21; Mt 19:14; Jn 10:8-15) Protect all of our children and grandchildren, some who are already being taught in public schools that homosexuality is OK, that same-sex "marriage" is OK, even equivalent in value to natural marriage (Is 59:2-5; Jeremiah 9:3-6; Rom 1:22-32) Please intervene to stop the rush toward laws that give people special rights and benefits because of their sexual practices and identity. Stop the madness: fines and lawsuits against God fearing people who object because of their faith -- all of which will accelerate and multiply if the Supreme Court does not uphold historic, Biblical, traditional marriage -- all of which will impact children disproportionately! (Isaiah 59:15; Luke 18:1-8; Jude 1: all)

SCOTUS To Hear Obamacare Challenge That Would Gut Exchange Subsidies

Via Bloomberg News:

The U.S. Supreme Court agreed to consider a challenge to the subsidies that are a linchpin of President Barack Obama’s health-care overhaul, accepting a case that suddenly puts the law under a new legal cloud. Two years after upholding much of the law by a single vote, the justices today said they will hear a Republican-backed appeal targeting tax credits that have helped more than 4 million people afford insurance.A ruling blocking those credits might unravel the Affordable Care Act, making other provisions ineffective and potentially destabilizing insurance markets in much of the country. The high court’s decision to hear the case comes days before the start of the law’s second open-enrollment season. A decision will come by June.

The Affordable Care Act gives states a choice whether they will set up their own health exchange where consumers can buy health insurance or whether to allow the federal government to do so for them. This lawsuit alleges that subsidies helping individuals buy health insurance are only available in exchanges run by a state, not by the feds. If it succeeds, the likely result will be a “death spiral” where higher premiums cause healthy consumers to drop out of the insurance market, which will cause higher premiums, which will cause more consumers to drop their insurance. Eventually, many states’ individual insurance markets are likely to collapse if this lawsuit prevails.

The challenge could cost millions of Americans their health insurance. Just as Jesus would want.

Pastor James Manning Strikes Again: "Jesus Would Stone Homos" Billboard Appears In Harlem

Last month Harlem Pastor James Manning earned national headlines when he posted a billboard declaring that President Obama has "released homo demons on the black man." Today Manning upped the Christian Love™ with the above sign.  According to Manning's YouTube clip posted this morning, Christians who refuse to stone homosexuals to death are "advocating lawlessness." He goes on: "Stoning of the homos is now in order. Stoning is still the law." We'll stand by for Christian leaders to denounce Pastor Manning, but don't hold your breath - there was nothing but silence last month.

Anti-Gay Crackpot Paul Cameron: I'm Open To Death Penalty For Homosexuality

Radio host David Pakman writes us:

Dr. Paul Cameron of the Family Research Institute said today that he not only favors the Ugandan anti-gay law which indicates prison as a punishment for homosexuality, he added that he consulted with Ugandan officials on the law, and that he would be open to the idea of the death penalty as a punishment for homosexuality. Cameron refused to answer, however, the logistics of how he would carry out and administer death sentences for LGBT individuals. Dr. Cameron was removed from the American Psychological Association during the 1980's for alleged misrepresentation of research to make his anti-gay claims -- something he continued to do during today's interview on The David Pakman Show. Cameron's defense is that he resigned from the APA, while the APA counters that Cameron resigned after being told he was being investigated, which is a violation of the APA's policies.

Should you have forgotten, Cameron is the freak show who claims that gay men die at an average age of 42, a ridiculous lie that is often repeated by anti-gay and "ex-gay" groups. He is also the founder of the Family Research Institute, which is listed as a hate group by the SPLC.

Ugandan Paper Names "200 Top Homos"

A Ugandan tabloid has published the names of 200 allegedly gay citizens, putting all of these people at the risk of being murdered. Which has happened before. Via the Associated Press:

The Red Pepper tabloid published the names — and some pictures — of alleged homosexuals in a front-page story under the headline: "EXPOSED!" The list included prominent Ugandan gay activists such as Pepe Julian Onziema, who has repeatedly warned that Uganda's new anti-gay law could spark violence against homosexuals. A popular Ugandan hip-hop star as well as a Catholic priest are also on the list. Few Ugandans identify themselves publicly as gay, and the tabloid's publication of alleged homosexuals recalled a similar list published in 2011 by a now-defunct tabloid that called for the execution of gays. A Ugandan judge later condemned the outing of homosexuals in a country where gays face severe discrimination, saying it amounted to an invasion of privacy. A prominent Ugandan gay activist, David Kato, was killed after that list came out, and activists said at the time that they believed he was targeted because of his work promoting gay rights in Uganda. "The media witch hunt is back," tweeted Jacqueline Kasha, a well-known Ugandan lesbian activist who is among those listed in the Red Pepper story.

As noted above, the last time a Ugandan paper did this, it was ordered to pay damages of 1.5M Ugandan shillings (about $650) to the people named and the paper went out of business. UGANDA: President Signs Anti-Gay Bill

Just yesterday the Guardian reported that Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni was putting off signing the anti-gay bill while he challenges US scientists to disprove that homosexuality is a choice. But today Museveni has signed the bill.

According to the Associated Press news agency, government officials clapped after Mr Museveni signed the bill at a press conference at State House. The BBC's Catherine Byaruhanga in Uganda says it is rare for the president to assent to bills so publicly. But the anti-gay bill has become so controversial that the media were invited to witness its signing, she says. Ugandan gay rights activist.

Earlier government spokesman spokesman Ofwono Opondo told Reuters news agency Mr Museveni wanted "to demonstrate Uganda's independence in the face of Western pressure and provocation". The sponsor of the bill, MP David Bahati, insisted homosexuality was a "behaviour that can be learned and can be unlearned". Homosexuality is just bad behaviour, that should not be allowed in our society," he told the BBC's Newsday programme.

But a gay rights activist in Uganda told the programme that he was "very scared" about the new bill. "I didn't even go to work today [Monday]. I'm locked up in the house. "And I don't know what's going to happen now. I'm talking to all my activists on the phone. And it's the same, they are all locked up in their houses. They can't move out. They are watching their back to see what happens."

Ugandan Minister: We Show Tolerance To Gays By Not Slaughtering Them

Pink News reports:

Minister for Ethics and Integrity Simon Lokodo, made the comments in an interview today, following the announcement that President Yoweri Museveni would sign the law earlier this week. “We are tolerant. That’s what we are saying: we are not slaughtering them,” he said in the video posted to the Independent’s website. Of the estimated half a million gay Ugandans, he went on: “They can come and be helped to come out of this unfortunate situation… It’s like a drug addict. Drug addiction is not an innate situation, it is acquired. But they can be transformed and become better.” “So we are saying anybody found committing this incredible and abominable act should be checked and isolated from society.” Concluding, he said: “If you are found practising it, we shall take you to a cell.”

Also today, Lokodo said that Ugandans would rather "die poor" and give up all international aid than repeal its brutal anti-homosexuality laws.

KANSAS: House Passes Bill Legalizing Discrimination Against LGBT Citizens

By a vote of 72-49, this afternoon the Kansas House approved a bill which allows businesses to reject LGBT customers on the basis of "sincerely held religious beliefs."

The bill would bar government sanctions when individuals, groups and businesses cite religious beliefs in refusing to recognize a marriage or civil union, or to provide goods, services, accommodations or employment benefits to a couple. Anti-discrimination lawsuits also would be barred. Individual workers and government employees also would get some protections. The measure is a response to the possibility that the federal courts could invalidate the state constitution's ban on same-sex marriages.

The bill now goes to the Kansas Senate where Republicans outnumber Democrats by 31-9. Similar bills are in progress in several other states. The full text of the Kansas bill is here.

Christian Hate Group Cheers Uganda: Homosexuality Is Worse Than Murder

Paul Cameron’s Family Research Institute is upset that Marvin Olasky of the Religious Right-aligned WORLD magazine dared to criticize Uganda’s draconian anti-gay bill, which recently passed parliament but has been blocked by the president, at least for now. In a response on its website, Cameron’s group took issue with Olasky’s claim that the bill is “harsh and unlikely to be effective,” saying that harsh measures are needed to curb homosexuality…just like murder.

Homophobia? This propaganda word does not belong in Christian discourse. Dislike of homosexuality, general avoidance of those who practice it, and trying to keep our kids safe from gay predators are hardly ‘problems’ for Christians — it is ‘who we are supposed to be.’ To be sure, we will find ourselves out of tune with Archbishop Desmond Tutu’s “If I go up to heaven and find a homophobic God, I will tell him I prefer the other place.” Similarly, we will find ourselves on the wrong side of President Obama, Hollywood, David Cameron, Bill and Hillary Clinton, the EU, the media, etc. If God calls something wrong but our elite say it’s precious, our marching orders are clear. Laws against murder are harsh and unlikely to be effective (in completely stopping murder). But such laws educate as to what is ‘correct’ and serve as a disincentive to commit murder. Just because we cannot specify how many lives were saved by a particular law hardly means the law was ineffective. Surely the fact that people still commit murder, rape, or theft would not cause Dr. Olasky to label them as “ineffective” and not worth having.

And then we get this:

Homosexuality violates God’s first commandment to ‘be fruitful,’ and is at the very heart of Biblical denunciation of rebellion against God (see Deut 32 and Romans 1). Homosexual lust led to the painful incineration of 26 brave Ugandan Christian boys and young men. It cannot be ignored without substantial intellectual and moral peril. Arguably Christianity’s greatest preacher, John Chrysostom, called it the worst sin, worse even than murder. While every sin in Scripture is not to be carried into public law, if this sin is not, what would Olasky nominate and how would he justify it?

Paul Cameron, lest you forget, is the lunatic whose deranged claim that the average gay man dies at age 42 is regularly parroted by anti-gay hate groups.

Ted Nugent: President Obama Is A Chimpanzee And A Subhuman Mongrel

Self-professed fecal draft-dodger Ted Nugent, who is not racist because he profits from black music, was interviewed by Guns.com at the almost-aptly-named SHOT Show 2014 about a variety of topics, and had a few more choice words for President Obama, whom Nugent once said (from a distance) should “suck on my machine gun.” Toward the end of the interview, Nugent referred to the President as a “subhuman mongrel” and a “chimpanzee,” while also asserting that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has “spare scrotums.”

Fugitive Russian Gay-Basher Maxim Martsinkevich Has Fled To Cuba

Wanted by Russian and Ukrainian authorities for brutally attacking and humiliating gay men and teenagers, infamous Russian gay-basher Maxim "The Cleaver" Martsinkevich has fled to Cuba. Vocativ reports:

According to posts on Martsinkevich’s VKontakte social networking page, he was in Cuba as early as December 10. According to the visa agreement between Russia and Cuba, Russians are allowed to stay without a visa for 30 days. That means he either needs to get a visa now, stay illegally or leave. And he says he doesn’t have the money to fly home. In a post on his blog today, he talks about flying from Kiev to Havana via Frankfurt, and expounds on the lack of virtues of the German airport. Martsinkevich does not find German women attractive. He says nothing about his visa situation or future travel plans.

Vocative translates from Martsinkevich's blog post:

Attention! Official dispatch from Freedom Island (i.e. Cuba)! An offer regarding the investigation and trial. The case against me is very unusual. There are no victims. No damages. The investigation was done by incompetents. The crimes were committed virtually. I was charged without being present. I was arrested in absentia. Contrary to Interpol statutes, there has been an international arrest warrant issued in my name. I do not recognize my guilt. I am currently in Latin America and do not have the money to return to Russia. Given the above and thinking logically, I ask the following: To hold the questioning and trial in the open for the mass media to observe, with me being present via Skype. In case of conviction, I offer to serve the prison term virtually, by placing an avatar behind bars for the amount of time designated by the court. Scott Lively Launches Bid For MA Governor

Earlier this year we learned that Scott Lively, who is arguably the most evil of all the American anti-gay crackpots, was planning to run for governor of Massachusetts.  Yesterday MassLive reported that Lively's campaign has been launched.

His campaign motto is "Qualified. Experienced. Electable." Publicly available campaign finance records show he has about $3,000 in his coffers, including a $2,000 loan to himself. Lively said he does not believe being the target of a 2012 lawsuit in federal court leveled by Sexual Minorities Uganda in connection with his anti-homosexuality campaign in that country will hurt his chances as a candidate. "If anything, I think it will help me when people learn how ridiculous the lawsuit is," he said during an interview. Lively is running as an independent in the "bluest of the blue states," he said. He said he will be a viable option for conservatives whom, he said, have been abandoned by Republicans and have no connection with Democrats, to whom he refers as "Communists." "The people of Massachusetts need a candidate who can clearly and unapologetically articulate Biblical values without fear or compromise," his campaign literature states. "They need a candidate who will tell the simple truth that abortion is murder, and homosexuality is condemned by God (but that Jesus forgives those who repent)."

Quote Of The Day - John Scarpa

"A sentence of 25 years to life is an incredibly long period of time, judge. Shouldn’t that be reserved for people who are guilty of killing certain classes of individuals? Who is the victim in this case? Is the victim a person in the higher end of the community? Amanda was engaged in a life of prostitution, life of drug use, HIV exposure. She was having sex with other individuals knowing she had the chance of spreading diseases." - Queens attorney John Scarpa, defending his client Rasheen Everett for the murder of transgender prostitute Amanda Gonzalez-Andujar.  The judge slammed Scarpa's comments then sentenced Everett to 29 years in prison.

The Anti-Violence Project has issued a statement:

AVP is calling for a public apology by Scarpa for this outrageous statement that says that transgender women and sex workers should be legally devalued by society. This type of speech is tantamount to hate speech and says that LGBT people, and particularly transgender women, are “other” and not worthy of protection. This hate speech is irresponsible and we are also calling on the Queens District Attorney’s office to issue a public condemnation of Scarpa’s dangerous and offensive remarks.

KENYA: Pastors Burn HIV Medications After Declaring Patients Healed By Jesus

Pentecostal pastors in Kenya are charging HIV patients to burn their medications and then tell them they've been cured by the power of Jesus. Via the Washington Post:

The “cure” is not free, and some people say they shell out their life savings to receive a miracle blessing and quit taking the drugs. Margaret Lavonga attended a healing prayer service several years ago. She said she paid money for a prayer cure and nearly ended up dead after the pastor told her and others to stop taking their medicines. “We were very desperate after realizing we had been infected as young women,” she said. At the church, she was asked to pay the equivalent of $12 to be accepted for the healing ceremony and $24 at the end of the ceremony. The pastor then confiscated her drugs and those of four others and set them ablaze. The group was asked to undergo a test at a certain clinic in Nairobi, where they were all declared cured.

When the patients then get sick and die, the pastors say their faith wasn't strong enough.

Some restaurant workers are striking today for a liveable wage and teabaggers are responding at the Twitter hashtag #EatFast where they are posting mocking photos of themselves gorging on fast food.

REPORT: Russian Neo-Nazis Attack Gay Contestant On Ukrainian X-Factor Show

According to a report filed by Spectrum Human Rights, the Russian anti-gay and neo-Nazi group Occupy Pedophilia has posted a video that shows the torture and humiliation of Alexander Bohun, who recently appeared on Ukraine's version of X Factor.  A Russian news site reports that Bohun had responded to a personal ad posted on the social media site VK, only to find the thugs waiting from him.  From a translation of the article:

One of the participants of the show X Factor Alexander Bohun accused the founder of the movement “Occupy Pedophilia”, Maxim Martsenkevich (“Cleaver” or “Slasher”), to have beaten him. For this reason, the Department of the Interior Ministry of the Leninsky District in Sebastopol (Crimea), has opened a criminal investigation into the matter, reports TSN. According to Alexander Bohun, Martsenkevich has beaten him repeatedly, intimidated him by violence and forced him to make a series of false statements in front of the camera. “I was referred to as “pedophile” illegally, mocked, and forced to admit actions and desires that I have not committed in any circumstances, and I had to admit all that publicly”, he said.

The counsel of the star, Elena Kherson, said that Martsenkevich broke the law, accusing a man of a crime without any investigation or trial. "There is no evidence of the involvement of Alexander Bohun in the crime of which 'Slasher' accused him," she said. "And most importantly, he is the victim." In addition, she said she wanted to lift the ban on dissemination of the video where Alexander Bohun admitted he was a pedophile. In those shoots, we can see Martsenkevich shaving the head of the singer, painting it with a rainbow marker, making him drink a cup of urine and pouring it in a few gallons on his head.”

Last month Martsenkevich reportedly fled Russia after being charged with inciting ethnic and social hatred for crimes exactly like those in today's report. A one-minute clip of the attack on Bohun can be seen here. Below is what appears to be Bohun's publicity shot from X Factor.
