Lip Sync Battle With Tom Cruise

Via USA Today:
It’s been a minute since we’ve seen Tom Cruise in action, but has he makes his promo rounds for the latest Mission: Impossible movie, he’s participating in the usual talk-show stunts, like Jimmy Fallon’s always hilarious Lip Sync Battle. And although we had our doubts, Tommy Boy absolutely killed it. No, really. Tell us you’re not dying as he starts with the opening notes of The Weekend’s Can’t Feel My Face. EPIC.
Cruise as Ellen Foley is really the best bit. Approved by Xenu.

Sarah Palin Chats With Jimmy Fallon's Vladimir Putin On Tonight Show

Mediatite recaps the skit:
Palin bantered with the Russian leader about Ukraine, March Madness, and President Obama, all while Putin called her “Captain Buzzkill” for trying to ruin his invasion plans. Palin had one of the best lines of the sketch when she had fun with her own children’s names, and she compared bear showdown styles with the in-your-face Putin. They even did a musical duet, with Palin bringing out a flute and accompanying Putin singing “Happy.” Putin floated the idea of invading Alaska, since it’s so close to Russia and all, but Palin warned him, “You may be able to take down a bear, but you’re no match for a mama grizzly.”
Ugh.

Seth Myers To Succeed Jimmy Fallon

SNL's Seth Myers will take over for Jimmy Fallon as the host of Late Night when Fallon replaces Jay Leno on The Tonight Show early next year.
"Late Night with Seth Meyers" will be shot at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City, with Lorne Michaels serving as executive producer and with Michael Shoemaker remaining as producer. "Since 1982, there have been three 'Late Night' hosts starting with David Letterman, and Seth couldn't be in better company," states Lorne Michaels. Meyers is currently ending his 12th season on "Saturday Night Live" and his eighth season as head writer. He won a Emmy in 2011 as one of the writers of Justin Timberlake's musical monologue and was nominated in the same category last year. In his seventh year as Weekend Update host, Meyers has five additional Emmy nominations for writing.
