BROOKLYN: Local Tea Party Founder Busted For Possession Of Child Porn

An ultra-conservative one-time Brooklyn city council candidate — whose campaign slogan was “Our children are our future” — has been nabbed for possessing and sharing kiddie porn, prosecutors said Friday. Joseph Hayon, 37, was arrested Thursday and admitted to police that he traded the sick pics of kids between the ages of 2 and 12 in December 2014 using his email account ArtModel@juno.com, according to a criminal complaint. At his arraignment in Brooklyn Criminal Court, prosecutors said a tip led police to search Hayon’s Midwood home, where the stash of child porn was found. Cops confiscated Hayon’s two laptops, five desktops, video camera, Samsung cellphone and one DVD, prosecutors said. He was also slapped with an order of protection Friday barring him from coming in contact with his four children, ages 9, 7, 4 and 15 months. He was released on $50,000 bail.

Hayon is the founder of the Brooklyn Tea Party. He ran for the NYC Council in 2009 and 2013, losing both times. A recap of his 2009 campaign platform reveals that he intended to sponsor legislation ordering NYC to disobey then-Gov. David Patterson's directive for state agencies to recognize out-of-state same-sex marriages. (How would that have worked, exactly?) Hayon also vowed to "make all public library staff criminally responsible for making any form of electronic obscenity available to minors." Ahem. And then there's the usual Tea Party anti-trans, anti-gay bloviating about indoctrinating children, plus something about requiring that kosher grape juice be made available to people on food stamps. DOMINICAN REPUBLIC: Massive Child Porn Stash Found On Archbishop's Computer

Tens of thousands of child porn photos and videos have been discovered on the computer of the Vatican's former envoy to the Dominican Republic.

Details of Jozef Wesolowski's massive child porn stash have been revealed after the 66-year-old was arrested at the Vatican earlier this week. He is the highest-ranking Vatican official ever to be investigated for sex abuse, and the first top papal representative to receive a defrocking sentence. He has been charged with sexually abusing minors and child porn possession and might face up to seven years in the Vatican's tiny jail. Vatican detectives analysed the PC Wesolowski used in his office in Santo Domingo, where he served as Holy See envoy from 2008 to 2012 as part of an investigation into the alleged sexual abuse of underage boys. The probe reportedly revealed a collection of horrors. The Polish native held more than 100,000 sexually-explicit files, Il Corriere della Sera newspaper reported. Some 160 videos showing teenage boys forced to perform sexual acts on themselves and on adults and more than 86,000 pornographic photos were meticulously archived in several category-based folders, the paper said. Investigators said that at least another 45,000 pictures were deleted, while a second stash of material was found on a laptop Wesolowski used during his trips abroad.

Wesolowski was recalled to the Vatican last year after the local media accused him of hiring rent boys.

MICHIGAN: Christian Radio Host John Balyo Confesses To Rape Of Second Child

Cornerstone University radio host John Balyo was arrested last month after federal investigators connected him to the rape of an 11 year-old boy. Today Balyo confessed to a second rape. Via the Detroit Free Press:

Former WCSG radio host John Richard Balyo admitted today that he and a second man handcuffed a 12-year-old boy to a motel bed, sexually abused him and took nine photos during the April encounter. "I did take images of a child and they were sexually explicit involving bondage and nudity,'' Balyo admitted today in U.S. District Court in Grand Rapids. "I performed sex acts as described. I knew it was wrong.'' Balyo and Ronald Lee Moser paid the boy for his involvement in the April 19th assault. His hands and feet were handcuffed and he was tied to the bed, according to courtroom statements today. While bound, Balyo took nine photos of the boy, first in his underwear and then naked. The boy's family wept in the back of the sixth floor courtroom as details of the assault were told to Magistrate Ellen Carmody during today's plea hearing.

In exchange for today's confession and guilty plea, prosecutors from the U.S. Attorney's Office will not file additional charges that may arise from the continuing investigation. Balyo faces life in prison on the first case and up to 50 years for the second. Cornerstone University requires its students to sign a "lifestyle pledge" that they will not engage in "every form of immorality, including immoral sexual behavior, homosexuality, lying, stealing and cheating." MICHIGAN: Cornerstone University Radio Host Busted For Child Molestation

Federal investigators have arrested a radio host for the private Christian college, Cornerstone University, on charges of child molestation. Charges related to the production of child pornography are expected to be added.

John Balyo, 35, of Caledonia was arrested in Gaylord as part of a joint investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Battle Creek Police Department and Michigan State Police. Balyo, an on-air personality at WCSG-FM, a Christian radio station associated with Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, was arrested on a state charge of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, according to Khaalid Walls, a spokesman for ICE. Walls said Friday investigators are alleging that Balyo had sexual encounters with minors in Battle Creek. ICE said in a statement that Balyo paid a Battle Creek man, Ronald Moser, 42, to arrange sexual encounters with underage children.

The university responded this morning.

WCSG general manager Chris Lemke urged listeners on Monday, June 23, to pray for former host John Balyo, his family, co-workers and alleged victims after Balyo was accused of paying for sexual encounters with children. “God’s people will not lose heart,” Lemke told listeners. He said the criminal allegations, reported late last week, have left staff in grief. Balyo's morning co-host, Amanda, is taking this week off, but will return next week. “And, we know you may be hurting as well,” Lemke told listeners. “Yet, we have hope.” He said that a listener outpouring of support, in text messages and emails to the station, have buoyed Balyo’s co-workers, who were in disbelief after hearing the allegations. Lemke asked for prayers for all who have been hurt by the allegations, especially the victims. “We pray for John. We pray for his bride and new stepson,” he said.

I've never heard of this guy, his radio station, or his "Family Friendly Morning Radio Show." But I have heard of Cornerstone University, which requires students to sign a "Lifestyle Statement" that forbids “every form of immorality, including immoral sexual behavior, homosexuality, lying, stealing and cheating.” So odds are good that Balyo's schtick as a Christian radio show host included condemning the "gay lifestyle" and painting LGBT people and families as a threat to children. Cornerstone, which expels gay students, has placed Baylo on paid administrative leave.

So I get lonely and the teens “comfort” me lol.” When asked how young he liked them, hornypastor@outlook.com replied “lol I’ve fucked quite a few over the years, some were already sluts, some I took their virginity. I’ve even knocked up a couple but we were able to make people believe it was somebone else. I’ve had sex with as young as age 10, but, have done oral with as young as 8.”

ILLINOIS: Christian College Professor Pleads Guilty To Possessing Child Porn

Wheaton College professor Donald Ratcliff yesterday pleaded guilty to aggravated possession of child pornography.

Ratcliff, who had been a professor of Christian education at the college since 2006, was arrested at his Carol Stream residence in March 2012 after police executed a search warrant. They found 500 illegal images on a computer they took from his home office, Assistant State's Attorney Louisa Nuckolls said. Police said Ratcliff was making child pornography images available for download over the Internet. Police obtained the warrant after tracing the images to Ratcliff's computer address, Nuckolls said.

Nine other child porn charges were dropped in return for Ratcliff's plea arrangement.

Child Porn NOW Illegal At The Vatican

Pope Francis today "overhauled" the criminal code at Vatican City and NOW the possession of child pornography will send you to Vatican prison, whatever that is.

The legislation covers clergy and lay people who live and work in Vatican City and is different from the canon law, which covers the universal Catholic Church. The bulk of the Vatican's penal code is based on the 1889 Italian code. Many of the new provisions were necessary to bring the city state's legal system up to date after the Holy See signed international treaties, such as the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Also now illegal is the leaking of Vatican secrets.

In an indication of how serious the Vatican considers such confidentiality, the penalties for violations of the new law are stiff: Anyone who reveals or receives confidential information or documentation risks six months to two years in prison and a $2,500 fine; the penalty goes up to eight years in prison if the material concerns the “fundamental interests” of the Holy See or its diplomatic relations with other countries.

MARYLAND: Archdiocese Of Baltimore Deacon Busted For Child Pornography

The Archdiocese of Baltimore has issued a statement.

Dear Parishioners, Earlier today, the Archdiocese of Baltimore learned that Deacon William Albaugh, 66, was arrested this morning on a charge of possession of child pornography by the Baltimore County Police Department. Albaugh, a permanent deacon assigned to St. Joseph Church in Fullerton, was ordained in 1996 and has spent his entire ministry at St. Joseph. The Archdiocese immediately suspended Mr. Albaugh’s diaconal faculties prohibiting him from all public ministry. The Archdiocese is working with St. Joseph Parish to inform the parish community. Neither the parish nor the Archdiocese has received any prior allegations against Mr. Albaugh, who successfully fulfilled all of the child & youth protection requirements of the Archdiocese, including a criminal history screening.

The deacon was busted thanks to Verizon, who found the porn loaded onto their cloud storage service. So he's a pervert AND really, really stupid.

Point to it as yet another example of an anti-gay, “pro-family” Christian covering up their sexual predation? Absolutely. But the “association” with the ADF is pretty weak here. It appears that she was the local attorney who worked with them on a single case. She didn’t work for them, she was involved in a single case. The ADF works just like the ACLU does in this regard, contracting with a local “cooperating attorney” to handle such cases. If an attorney in Keokuk, Iowa who once worked with the ACLU on a single case was caught doing something terrible, we would find it ridiculous if someone said that proved something bad about the ACLU; the same is true here. Hammer her, but the ADF has no real connection to this.

Does 450 hours of work, the equivalent of over eleven weeks, qualify as an "staffer" even if that work was done for free?

Alliance Defense Fund Lawyer Found Guilty On Eight Felony Child Porn Counts

In her day job, Alliance Defense Fund-affiliated lawyer Lisa Biron provided free legal work for Christians working to thwart LGBT rights.  But her other job of producing child pornography just won her eight felony convictions.

A Manchester lawyer has been found guilty of exploiting a 14-year-old girl to produce child pornography, The Associated Press reported. Lisa Biron, 43, was accused of videotaping the girl having sex with two men. Biron faced eight federal indictments on charges of child sexual exploitation, transporting a child across state lines to produce child pornography and possession of child pornography, and was convicted on all of them after the jury deliberated for less than an hour. The trial began Wednesday, with prosecutors calling to the stand two men who said Biron videotaped them having sex with the 14-year-old. The final witness for the prosecution was an FBI agent who specializes in computer forensics. He testified that he retrieved pornographic images from a computer that had Biron listed as the owner. He said a confiscated iPhone also had a sexually explicit video involving the girl.

As she was being led away to await her likely lengthy prison sentence, Biron was heard blaming her 14 year-old victim.

UDPATE: The identity of the victim in the case had been shielded ever since Lisa Biron was arrested as is the standard for victims of sexual abuse. The Associated Press is now reporting that the victim was her daughter.

A New Hampshire mother wept openly in court as prosecutors played video of an alleged sexual encounter between her and her own 14-year-old daughter as a child sexual exploitation and pornography case got under way Wednesday with graphic testimony about sex acts the girl allegedly performed while her mother videotaped them.  Jury deliberations in the child exploitation trial of the Manchester lawyer could begin as early as Thursday in U.S. District Court in Concord. Her attorney has said he will call no witnesses. U.S. Attorney John Kacavas told jurors the defendant acted not like a mother, but as the girl’s “pot pusher, her pornography producer and her predator.”

Two men testified they had sex with the defendant and with her daughter multiple times during separate encounters in 2012, one in Canada and the other at the attorney’s home. Both said the defendant recorded several of the sexual encounters on a smartphone.  The Associated Press doesn’t typically identify victims of sexual assault; it is not naming the mother to avoid identifying the girl. Throughout his opening remarks, Kacavas repeatedly told the jury, “She should have been a mom” as he laid out the defendant’s alleged misdeeds. But as the day progressed, he repeatedly told the jury, “Let me show you another video.”

As jurors watched recordings of various sexual encounters, the defendant averted her eyes from the laptop screen in front of her and dropped her head into one hand. The final video, prosecutors said, depicted the defendant having oral sex with her daughter. Before introducing it into evidence, prosecutors had the girl’s father — the defendant’s ex-husband — identify the voices captured on tape. He wept uncontrollably after identifying the voices as his daughter’s and his ex-wife’s and left the courtroom before the tape was played for the jury.

That bolded line from the AP is crap, because the case has such huge notoriety (and not just in little New Hampshire) there is NO way people don't know to whom they are referring. Lisa Biron has been named in dozens of published reports.

Child Porn Trial Begins For Christian Alliance Defense Fund Lawyer

As you may know, the Alliance Defense Fund is the anti-gay Christian legal group that provides free lawyers to just about anybody working to thwart civil rights for LGBT Americans. As I reported in November, one of their lawyers has been arrested and charged with multiple felony counts related to child pornography. Her trial began yesterday in Concord, New Hampshire.

Jurors in the child pornography trial of Manchester attorney Lisa Biron in U.S. District Court saw videos that Biron is accused of making in which a 14-year-old girl is shown having sex with two different men. In his opening argument, U.S. Attorney John Kacavas said Biron was a pot pusher, pornography producer and predator who considered the teen "an object, a thing." Biron, 43, is accused of taking the girl to Canada, giving her alcohol and marijuana, and videotaping her as she had sex with a Canadian man she had met online. Biron is also charged with making more videos, on a cellphone, of the girl having sex with another male in New Hampshire. Defense attorney James Moir cautioned jurors that they were going to see graphic videos and said the issue here is not whether Lisa Biron is morally depraved.

Among the first witnesses were two 14 year-old boys who testified that Biron had sex with them and then filmed them also having sex with the underage girl. Praise Jeebus. (Tipped by JMG reader Brian)

MONTREAL: Catholic Deacon Busted For Child Porn Production & Distribution

A deacon with the Archdiocese of Montreal has been arrested on multiple charges related to child pornography.

A prominent West Island deacon who used to speak publicly about sexual crimes has been charged with the production and distribution of child pornography following a police investigation. William Kokesch, a 65-year-old deacon of St. Edmund of Canterbury Parish in Beaconsfield, was arrested Friday after police carried out two search warrants — one at his home in Pointe Claire and the other at the church. The Archdiocese of Montreal announced on Saturday that it immediately removed Kokesch from all ministry and pastoral activity. “Having just learned of the charges against Mr. Kokesch, the diocese is profoundly upset,” it said in a statement. “Child pornography is an affront to human dignity, and our first concern rests with those who are its victims.” Police seized more than 2,000 computer files as well as messages left on chat-room sites on the Internet.

In 2005 Kokesch worked with the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops and headed the Canadian delegation to Catholic World Youth Day in Germany.

NEW YORK CITY: Gay Man Attempts Suicide After Child Porn Arrest

New York City resident Shawn Klein, who wed his partner atop the Empire State Building in February after winning the landmark's Valentine's Day contest, yesterday attempted suicide by throwing himself in front of a subway train after being charged with possession of child pornography.

Shawn Klein was in critical condition at New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell, where he was taken from the 23rd St. station on the No. 6 line, authorities and sources said. The North Dakota-raised hospital administrator was struck by an uptown train at about 3:20 p.m., authorities said. Police sources said he jumped in front of the train. e was undergoing surgery Tuesday night, a relative said. “The doctors lost him once on the table and they brought him back,” said Eileen Blanchard, a sister reached by phone. “That’s all I know. We’re just waiting.” The apparent suicide attempt followed Klein’s release from jail Tuesday, a day after the 52-year-old was charged with possession of child pornography, according to court and Correction Department records. He was charged Monday with one count of possessing a sexual performance by a child, a felony, in a Nov. 27 incident. A defense attorney could not be reached Tuesday night.

Klein and his partner were the first gay couple to be married as part the Empire State's famed and long-running Valentine's Day tradition.  A second gay couple followed minutes later.  The weddings were covered by the national press.

Anti-Gay Christian Lawyer Arrested For Possession Of Child Pornography

A member of the anti-gay Alliance Defense Fund, which has filed numerous lawsuits in opposition to LGBT rights nationwide, has been arrested on multiple felony charges related to child pornography.

A Manchester lawyer took a teenage girl to Canada, had her engage in sexual activity and convinced her to let it be filmed, according to federal indictments. FBI agents swiftly arrested Lisa Biron yesterday morning as she awaited a hearing on child pornography charges at Manchester’s district court. About 9 a.m. FBI agents entered the courtroom, told Biron to leave her belongings and took her into an adjoining conference room where she remained for several minutes before coming out in handcuffs. Outside, Biron ducked her head below the backseat window of a white vehicle as it was driven away from the courthouse. A few hours later in U.S. District Court in Concord, Biron, who is associated with a national coalition of Christian lawyers, was formally told of the federal charges against her: transportation with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, possession of child pornography and five counts of sexual exploitation of children. Judge Landya McCafferty decided to detain Biron yesterday, largely, she said, because she is believed to have broken most of the bail conditions imposed on the district-level pornography charges.

I had no one to talk to. I couldn’t bring it home to my girlfriend because I didn’t want to burden her with this bullshit. For seven, eight, nine months, I was looking at this kind of stuff and thinking I was fine, but it was putting me in a really dark place. Google got someone from a federal agency to talk to me, and that’s when it occurred to me that I needed therapy. She showed me photos of seemingly innocuous activities (kind of like a modified Rorschach test) and asked me for my first visceral reaction. I was like, “That’s fucked up!” It was just a father and a child. So I went to get therapy. Google covered one session with a government-appointed therapist — and encouraged me to go out and get my own therapy after I left.

BOSTON: Catholic Priest Busted For Child Porn As MORE Files Were Downloading

On Monday when Boston detectives burst in to arrest yet another Catholic priest for distributing child pornography, they found his computer humming away with more downloads.

Rev. Andrew J. Urbaniak, 39, mostly kept his head down during his arraignment in South Boston Municipal Court where he pleaded not guilty to charges of possession and dissemination of child pornography. Judge Michael Bolden set bail at $10,000 cash. For the past four years, Urbaniak has been assigned to Our Lady of Czestochowa Church in South Boston where he is currently the pastor. In the wake of his arrest, the Archdiocese of Boston issued a statement saying Urbaniak is now on administrative leave and is banned from performing his religious duties as a priest. “Urbaniak’s faculties have been suspended and he is not allowed to function as a priest in the Archdiocese,’’ the statement said. “The Archdiocese is fully cooperating with law enforcement. The Church prays for all those impacted by these events and is committed to providing for the pastoral care of the parish during this difficult time.’’

SF Activist Arrested For Child Porn

Veteran LGBT rights activist Larry Brinkin was arrested on Friday for the possession of child pornography. Brinkin is a former member of the San Francisco Human Rights Commission.

Police say that Brinkin had pornographic images, some that appear to show children as young as 1 and 2 or 3 years old being sodomized and performing oral sex on adult men, in e-mail attachments linked to his account, according to a search warrant served by San Francisco police. Representatives of America Online contacted authorities after coming across e-mail attachments from one of its subscriber's accounts containing what they believed to be child pornography. The Los Angeles Police Department, which was assigned to the case, traced the IP address associated with the account, Zack3737@aol.com, to Brinkin, a San Francisco resident, according to court records. Los Angeles police forwarded the case to San Francisco police. San Francisco investigators say the account was registered to Brinkin, and that he paid for the e-mail service with his credit card. Police provided two examples of e-mail messages from last year in which Zack3737 provides disturbing descriptions of the exploitive sexual acts.

Anti-gay hate groups are already trumpeting the arrest.
