Alliance Defense Fund Lawyer Found Guilty On Eight Felony Child Porn Counts

In her day job, Alliance Defense Fund-affiliated lawyer Lisa Biron provided free legal work for Christians working to thwart LGBT rights.  But her other job of producing child pornography just won her eight felony convictions.

A Manchester lawyer has been found guilty of exploiting a 14-year-old girl to produce child pornography, The Associated Press reported. Lisa Biron, 43, was accused of videotaping the girl having sex with two men. Biron faced eight federal indictments on charges of child sexual exploitation, transporting a child across state lines to produce child pornography and possession of child pornography, and was convicted on all of them after the jury deliberated for less than an hour. The trial began Wednesday, with prosecutors calling to the stand two men who said Biron videotaped them having sex with the 14-year-old. The final witness for the prosecution was an FBI agent who specializes in computer forensics. He testified that he retrieved pornographic images from a computer that had Biron listed as the owner. He said a confiscated iPhone also had a sexually explicit video involving the girl.

As she was being led away to await her likely lengthy prison sentence, Biron was heard blaming her 14 year-old victim.

UDPATE: The identity of the victim in the case had been shielded ever since Lisa Biron was arrested as is the standard for victims of sexual abuse. The Associated Press is now reporting that the victim was her daughter.

A New Hampshire mother wept openly in court as prosecutors played video of an alleged sexual encounter between her and her own 14-year-old daughter as a child sexual exploitation and pornography case got under way Wednesday with graphic testimony about sex acts the girl allegedly performed while her mother videotaped them.  Jury deliberations in the child exploitation trial of the Manchester lawyer could begin as early as Thursday in U.S. District Court in Concord. Her attorney has said he will call no witnesses. U.S. Attorney John Kacavas told jurors the defendant acted not like a mother, but as the girl’s “pot pusher, her pornography producer and her predator.”

Two men testified they had sex with the defendant and with her daughter multiple times during separate encounters in 2012, one in Canada and the other at the attorney’s home. Both said the defendant recorded several of the sexual encounters on a smartphone.  The Associated Press doesn’t typically identify victims of sexual assault; it is not naming the mother to avoid identifying the girl. Throughout his opening remarks, Kacavas repeatedly told the jury, “She should have been a mom” as he laid out the defendant’s alleged misdeeds. But as the day progressed, he repeatedly told the jury, “Let me show you another video.”

As jurors watched recordings of various sexual encounters, the defendant averted her eyes from the laptop screen in front of her and dropped her head into one hand. The final video, prosecutors said, depicted the defendant having oral sex with her daughter. Before introducing it into evidence, prosecutors had the girl’s father — the defendant’s ex-husband — identify the voices captured on tape. He wept uncontrollably after identifying the voices as his daughter’s and his ex-wife’s and left the courtroom before the tape was played for the jury.

That bolded line from the AP is crap, because the case has such huge notoriety (and not just in little New Hampshire) there is NO way people don't know to whom they are referring. Lisa Biron has been named in dozens of published reports.

CALIFORNIA: Feds Question Anti-Islamic Filmmaker Over Parole Violations

Shortly after midnight yesterday federal authorities questioned anti-Islamic filmmaker Nakoula Basseley Nakoula over parole violations he allegedly committed to promote his movie. Nakoula had been imprisoned for bank fraud and his parole stipulates that he may not use computers or the internet. Such stipulations are commonplace for those committed of financial crimes.

Nakoula, 55, was interviewed by federal probation officers for about half an hour at the station shortly after 12 a.m. in his hometown of Cerritos, Calif., said Steve Whitmore, spokesman for the Los Angeles County sheriff's department. After that, deputies dropped Nakoula off at an undisclosed location. "He is gone. We don't know where he went," Whitmore said. "He said he is not going back to his home." Federal officials are investigating whether Nakoula, who has been convicted of financial crimes, has violated the terms of his five-year probation. If so, a judge could send him back to prison. Nakoula went voluntarily to the station, wearing a coat, hat, scarf and glasses that concealed his appearance. His home has been besieged by media for several days. Whitmore said Nakoula was not handcuffed and the heavy apparel was his idea.

In reaction to Nakoula's questioning the wingnut blogosphere has exploded with claims that President Obama personally ordered him arrested. Because the Muslim Brotherhood demanded it. Breitbart says so.

This is happening in America. While terrorists brutally rape and murder our Libyan ambassador and attack and burn our foreign outposts -- all thanks to a president who disengaged from the region and embraced the Muslim Brotherhood -- here in the United States of America, a filmmaker is being scapegoated and persecuted by our government and our media. What this is about is a president who swore to uphold the Constitution who is now caving to Islamic Law through the de facto criminalization of denigrating Islam. And he's doing it in order to give the media something shiny to play with so they’re not forced to turn their attention (until after the election) towards a failed doctrine and fatal failure to take al-Qaeda seriously.

By sending — literally — brownshirted enforcers to engage in — literally — a midnight knock at the door of a man for the non-crime of embarrassing the President of the United States and his administration, President Obama violated that oath. You can try to pretty this up (It’s just about possible probation violations! Sure.), or make excuses or draw distinctions, but that’s what’s happened. It is a betrayal of his duties as President, and a disgrace.

Disgraced Former NY Sen. Pedro Espada Found Guilty On Embezzlement Charges

Waving a rosary to ward off "evil spirits" proved useless for former New York Sen. Pedro Espada, who was today found guilty of embezzling over $500,000 from the Bronx health clinic he managed.

Espada sat stone-faced when he was found guilty of ripping off the clinic. His wife, Connie, looked stricken and appeared near tears. Before the verdict was read, Brooklyn Federal Court Judge Frederic Block warned everybody to behave. “I don’t want any ruckus or noise because they are not finished with their service," the judge said of the jury. Prosecutors, however, were giddy. And when they left for lunch, loud cheers could be heard coming from their elevator. But the government didn’t get everything it wanted. The jury, which struggled for 11 days before finally giving up, failed to reach a verdict on the fifth theft count against Espada for stealing nearly $80,000 from Soundview in 2009. Nor was it able to reach a verdict on the three conspiracy counts against Espada.

Espada is the third former New York Senator to be sentenced to prison in the last two months. All three are Democrats. And all three played a role in the 2008 debacle that, for the time, had blocked same-sex marriage for New York state. The remaining douchebag of that infamous quartet is Ruben Diaz.

Judd is also known as federal prison inmate Number 11593-051 at the Beaumont Federal Correctional Institution in Beaumont, Texas, where Judd is serving a 210-month sentence for extortion and making threats at the University of New Mexico in 1999. According to both state and national Democratic Party rules, Keith Russell Judd is entitled to receive at least one delegate from West Virginia for the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C. because he received 15% of the vote.

Anti-Gay Activist And Watergate Felon Chuck "Enemies List" Colson Dies At 80

Richard Nixon's infamous "dirty tricks" henchman, the notorious Watergate felon and anti-gay activist Chuck Colson, has died at the age of 80 after lingering for days following a brain hemorrhage.

Charles W. Colson, the Republican political operative who boasted he would “walk over my own grandmother” to ensure the reelection of President Richard M. Nixon and went on to found a worldwide prison fellowship ministry after his conversion to evangelical Christianity, died April 21 Inova Fairfax Hospital. He was 80. Mr. Colson’s reputation as a “dirty tricks artist” overshadowed his achievements as a darkly brilliant political strategist.

He had helped lay the groundwork for the Nixon landslide of November 1972 by appealing to disgruntled Democrats and blue-collar minority voters. A self-described “hatchet man” for Nixon, Mr. Colson compiled the notorious “enemies list” of politicians, journalists and activists perceived as threats to the White House. And most fatefully, he helped orchestrate illegal activities to discredit former Pentagon official Daniel Ellsberg, who was suspected of leaking a top-secret history of the Vietnam War to the New York Times and The Washington Post.

Colson was the co-author of the Manhattan Declaration, a landmark anti-gay document whose Christian signers pledge to willfully disobey laws regarding same-sex marriage.

The fact of the matter is that Chuck Colson – Born Again is nothing short of a grand and glorious collection of obfuscation and half-truths. Colson’s yarn portrays the man himself as an pious martyr acting in service of a naively innocent Richard Nixon. In one of the more laughable parts of the story, it’s inferred that John Erlichman learned of the Watergate break-in while watching the evening news. Indeed, the entire question of wrongdoing and guilt is effectively marginalized through the omnipresent argument that Richard Nixon’s coterie of henchmen acted under the Nietzschean principal that “what is done out of love always takes place beyond good and evil.”
