Baltimore burning is “free speech.” But our ads get banned. Got it? We are marching to totalitarianism. New York City is the capital of the free world. The world looks to us. What message did the MTA send Wednesday? Every city will follow suit. It was a dark day for freedom but have no fear. But this is not over. Not by a long shot. We have already begun to pursue this legally; our lawyers David Yerushalmi and Robert Muise have already written to the MTA asking that our ads be put up forthwith, as they are not political. The rich and powerful trumped our unalienable rights in New York City, April 29, 2015. But rewarding savagery with capitulation and fear will only bring more bloodshed and more terror. You haven’t seen anything yet.

Bill Maher On Religous Fundamentalism

“On the one hand, clearly God has spelled it out — He hates f*gs,” Maher said. “But you like your gay neighbors Rob and Larry. But the Bible tells you to kill them. Yes, it literally says kill them. What to do?” He then chided California attorney Matt McLaughlin and his “Sodomite Suppression Act,” calling it the latest in a long tradition of anti-LGBT rhetoric equating homosexuality with a Biblical apocalypse. “Take fundamentalists at their word. They fundamentally believe this stuff,” Maher explained. “And if you believe that God wiped out Sodom and Gomorrah for being too gay, then yeah, He must be itching to hit West Hollywood.” He then veered into another criticism of Islam, asking his audience to imagine a country full of people like McLaughlin. “Well there is, it’s called Saudi Arabia. It’s called Iran. It’s called Pakistan,” Maher said. “I could go on. But suffice it to say that in many Muslim countries, you wouldn’t have to work hard at all to get signatures on your ‘Kill All The Gays’ ballot initiative. In 10 such countries, it’s already the law.”

TEXAS: Christian Activist Christine Weick Hijacks Podium At Muslim Event

You'll remember Christine Weick for her conclusive proof that Monster Energy drinks were invented by Satan and from her disruption of a Muslim prayer event at Washington DC's National Cathedral. Today the allegedly homeless Weick found her way to Austin, Texas, where she rushed the microphone during Texas Muslim Capitol Day to scream about Jesus. Via the Austin Statesman:

What was supposed to be a rally at the Texas Capitol Thursday promoting political engagement and tolerance for Muslims and was largely derailed by sustained screams from protesters loudly advocating for something quite apart from peace and love. But not one of the 10 or so speakers at the hourlong event managed to finish a sentence without being heckled by noisome group of maybe two dozen that fanned out about 20 paces from the south steps of the statehouse. A patriotic song by the Houston Koran Academy didn’t even silence the screaming. CAIR-TX spokeswoman Ruth Nasrullah had barely begun the program when a woman briefly commandeered the podium and attempted to claim the Capitol in the name of Jesus Christ. The woman, a native Michigander who said she goes “wherever the Lord calls,” later said she was seized by “righteous anger” and felt she’d accomplished what she attempted to do Thursday morning. “I want to inspire Americans against this and proclaim for Jesus Christ and not their god, Allah,” Christine Weick said.

Pam Geller Money Begs On DDos Site Attack From "Islamic Jew Haters"

Anti-Islam blogger Pam Geller's site has been offline for 24 hours in what she appears to attribute to a DDos attack from "Islamic Jew haters" who might be angry about her new mass transit campaign in San Francisco, which compares Muslims to Nazis. Therefore, send her more money. Geller has sued transit agencies in several major cities in order to force them to display her ads.

BRITAIN: More Islamic Extremist Posters Appear Around East London

Another set of Islamist posters have appeared around the poorer neighborhoods of East London.

It is understood the posters were found last Thursday morning at council-managed housing blocks in Shadwell, next to the DLR and Overground station. They state: “You are entering a Shariah controlled zone. Islamic rules enforced.” Underneath, images declare that smoking, alcohol, music, drugs, prostitution and porn are forbidden. Although they do not mention homosexuality, the posters are expected to cause concern among the local gay population. In June, an 18-year-old man was fined £100 after he was convicted of distributing stickers declaring parts of Tower Hamlets a “gay-free zone”. The latest posters are identical to ones found in Waltham Forest and Newham.

One local imam told police he has thousands of people "ready to patrol" the streets in order to discourage "anti-Islamic behavior."

Still no call or visit from the FBI, what with them having to deal with actual terrorists threats against the president on hundreds of hate sites. Meanwhile, I've deleted a couple of dozen obviously planted comments made by LaBarbera/Barber supporters, most of whom laughably don't even know enough gay lingo to sound remotely real. Here's one I read on Michelangelo's radio show yesterday: "As a BLGT man I am ready to take a machine gun to the closest church!" He's BLGT! All at once!

Funny, yes. But it's also a vivid example of the Christianist campaign to fabricate any kind of incident that they can then use as an example of "homosexual violence" against Christians. Speaking of which, JMG commenter Cold Country, whom Peter LaBarbera described yesterday as a "violent homosexual extremist," wrote to me to out herself as a 59 year-old straight woman. Sorry, Porno Pete - you don't have that "smoking gun" yet!

Yesterday the Village Voice contacted me to see if I wanted to respond to LaBarbera's whiny complaint to them that I was "uncivil" to him. I said, "Yeah, tell him I said 'Fuck you! Fuck you right in the ear.'" How's that for civil?
