NOM Hate March Attendee: We Were Told This Would Be An Immigration Rally
As we suspected, New York Sen. Ruben Diaz scammed his constituents just like he did last year. Check out the guy at 0:44.

Brian Brown Doubles Hate March Number
Just in from Brian Brown:
On Saturday we had an amazing March for Marriage — our biggest and most successful ever! There were approximately 15,000 marchers present! Thank you to everyone who participated... I will be sending you pictures, videos and news stories about it soon. But first, we still have some work to do. Tomorrow, April 28, 2015, is the day the Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in Obergefell v Hodges to determine whether or not states have the right to define marriage as the union of one man and one woman. NOM, along with Alliance Defending Freedom and numerous other family groups, will be present at the Supreme Court tomorrow morning to demonstrate. If you are able to come into DC and participate, I would encourage you to do so to help us have a strong contingent of marriage supporters present on this historic day. We will be rallying at 10:00 am, but I encourage you to come early, as there will likely be thousands of demonstrators — from both sides — present. On Saturday the Washington Post reported that Brown was claiming attendance at 7000. Outside observers pegged the number at 2000 - 3000.

WaPo Reports On NOM's Hate March
Via the Washington Post:
Busloads of people from across the country descended onto the Mall on Saturday to voice opposition to same-sex marriage. This week, the Supreme Court hears oral arguments on whether state restrictions on same-sex marriage are unconstitutional. “Children don’t need experiments,” said Archbishop Joseph Kurtz of Louisville, Ky., president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. “They need the love of their mother and father, wherever possible.” The crowd was overwhelmingly Latino, many rallying behind New York state Sen. Rubén Díaz Sr. (D), a Bronx minister, who rallied the crowd in Spanish. Several held Catholic red banners and March for Marriage signs printed in English and Spanish.Brown claims attendance was 7000.
The crowd chanted a Spanish phrase that roughly translates to “Without God, the country is going down.” Dulce Nuñez said she was supposed to work Saturday at a hotel in Manhattan but decided to instead come to Washington on her church’s bus. “The courts have no right to change what God made,” said Nuñez, 39. “We fight for children.” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) and Rick Santorum, a former Republican senator from Pennsylvania, wanted to send videos to the rally, but National Organization for Marriage President Brian Brown said organizers chose to focus the event on religious leaders. He noted that several Republican presidential candidates were in Iowa on Saturday for a Faith and Freedom Coalition rally.

Cordileone: I Won't Be At The Hate March
Over the weekend I noted that San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone's name was not on NOM's list of speakers for Saturday's hate march. Yesterday he confirmed his non-attendance with the San Francisco Chronicle:
San Francisco’s Roman Catholic archbishop has decided not to attend this year’s annual march against same-sex marriage in Washington, D.C., avoiding a repeat of an appearance that proved controversial back home last year. Other U.S. bishops will instead represent the Catholic Church at Saturday’s rally, the San Francisco Archdiocese said in a brief statement issued Wednesday evening explaining why Cordileone would not be going. In an earlier statement to The Chronicle confirming his non-attendance, the archdiocese said Cordileone’s “highest priority” was his intention to speak with teachers and families in local Catholic schools, where there has been an outcry over the archbishop’s demand that staffers sign a morality clause declaring sex outside marriage and homosexual relations to be “gravely evil.”The archdiocese has also issued a press release.
“While he remains involved in national issues, Archbishop Cordileone will not be attending the march,” the archdiocese said in its statement Wednesday. “His highest priority in the coming days is a productive dialogue with Catholic-school teachers and families here in San Francisco, whose concerns are very important to him.” A leader in the archdiocese teachers movement to oppose the proposed morality code said he had heard nothing of a renewed dialogue with the archbishop. “We have nothing to our knowledge planned,” said Sal Curcio, a teacher at Sacred Heart Catholic High School. “I double-checked my e-mail. Nothing there. I’ve asked a few people, and so far nobody has heard of any meeting planned.”

SATURDAY: NOM Marches On SCOTUS
NOM has published the final details for Saturday's hate march on the Supreme Court. Per their GoFundMe page, they have nearly reached their goal of providing 23 jillion buses and if tradition holds, on Sunday we'll be provided with photoshopped images stolen from the Pope's visit to the Philippines. Or something.

New York State Sen. Ruben Diaz: NOM Gave Me 117 Buses For Their Hate March
"You should know that this coming Saturday, April 25th, 117 buses will take more than 6,000 people to Washington, D.C. These buses are being donated by the National Organization for Marriage, led by my friend, Brian Brown. The buses will leave from all parts of the New York metropolitan area - including Long Island where Apostle Carlos Luis Vargas, President of the International Freeport Bible Center is taking 20 buses, and New Jersey where Bishop Jose Lopez, President of the Evangelical Pastor’s Association of Hudson County is in charge of another 20. The buses will arrive in Washington, D.C. at 12:00 noon where a prayer vigil will take place in front of the United States Supreme Court. We will be joined by people of faith from all parts of the nation. The purpose of this prayer vigil is to praise our God and to pray for the very important decision about same-sex marriage that the Supreme Court will render this year. Therefore, we have decided to travel to the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C. where the Supreme Court is located, and there we will publicly praise our Lord and pray for His intercession so He could lead the minds of the Justices to make the right decision." - New York state Sen. Ruben Diaz, who last year claimed that he was bringing 100 buses to Hate March II. Attendance last year was estimated at 2000 total, so obviously that was a lie. (Via Good As You)
RELATED: During his failed attempts to stop same-sex marriage in New York, Diaz twice led hate marches through the streets of New York City. Brian Brown helped carry the banner in the second march in 2011, which culminated with a call for the death penalty for homosexuality while Diaz' gay granddaughter, Erica Diaz, stood in plain view in the audience. See my slideshow of that day. NOM later stole my video of Brian Brown's speech and posted it to their YouTube channel without permission or attribution. Attendance at both Diaz hate marches was inflated by busing in the New Jersey listeners of a Hispanic evangelical talk radio station.

Woman Donates House Down Payment To NOM Hate March Because Gay Nazis
From NOM's hate march GoFundMe page:
Thanks for this donation may be directed to Frank P. Conway, Todd C. Allis, and William Duke who inspired us to remove savings for the down payment of our home and instead dedicate it to NOM. Gentlemen, if you are reading this, know that your $1 donation and pro same-sex marriage comments were meant “for evil” but God has turned it “into good” by impressing us to donate much more than the $25 we originally planned to give. Just as in the case of Memories Pizza, LGBT Bullies have crossed the line one too many times. All of you have actually proven that there is a GOD by motivating those of us who have been sitting on the sidelines to step forward and stand for what only GOD created – marriage between one man and one woman. America sees you for the hate-filled Projectors and Manipulators that you really are. But, your side is not just fighting 96% of America. GOD is the One that you are really fighting and just like Hitler’s Nazi regime – they won a number of battles but LOST the WAR. For God says “Remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like Me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done.” Isaiah 46:9 – 10. Every time you spend an American penny remember it proclaims what the Founders of this nation and our Constitution established for America “In God We Trust.”Her donation was $777. NOM Unveils 2015 Hate March Speakers
Not exactly the A-list, is it? In fact, there's only one elected official on the roster and that's Democratic New York state Sen. Ruben Diaz. Also curiously missing from the list is San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone, who spoke at last year's hate march and is currently fighting an internal Catholic revolt back at home.

Brian Brown Is Afraid
Just in via email:
Fear can be a tremendous motivator and I have to admit it has me very motivated. I am tremendously concerned right now that we will not raise the money we need to pay for the buses we have reserved to bring thousands of marriage supporters — willing to take time out of their weekend to stand up in defense of marriage — to the 2015 March for Marriage. So I'm extremely motivated to make a serious ask of you because if we can't raise the money we need very soon, I will have to call up the bus companies and cancel many of the buses we have reserved. And that would be a tragedy. I don't want to do it... I don't want to have to tell people who want to fight for marriage that they can't because they lack the financial means to attend... but I'm going to have to do it if we can't raise the money we need.Such a shonda.

NOM Launches Fund For Hate March
Dozens of emailed and blogged money begs have apparently not helped very much so NOM has launched a last minute GoFundMe drive for their hate march on the Supreme Court.
We have one remaining opportunity at the March for Marriage in Washington DC on April 25th to show the justices of the court that we want them to respect our votes and our values and uphold the right of states to preserve true marriage. Thousands of people are planning on coming to Washington to stand up for the truth of marriage, but there are thousands more who wish to come, but lack resources for transportation. This GoFundMe campaign will raise money to subsidize buses from throughout the country, many of which will originate in urban communites. Nobody should be denied the opportunity to march for marriage due to finances. The campaign will subsidize at least twenty buses. Additional funds raised beyond our goal will be used to support more buses of marriage supporters.

NOM Money Begs On Slavery
Today's money beg from Brian Brown:
The Dred Scott decision was wrong on so many levels that it’s difficult to cover them all in this email. But the most important thing to realize about the decision is that it ignored both natural law and the principles of the American founding to impose a political ideology on the country. Does that ring a bell for you with anything in the news today? Some people think that the US Supreme Court is the final arbiter of controversial topics — whether slavery or marriage — and we must accept whatever they decide. The money beg contain eighteen links to NOM's donation page. Eighteen.
We don’t.
My friends, we have an opportunity right now to act to avoid a Dred Scott decision on marriage. In a little over five weeks, the United States Supreme Court will hear arguments in the case that could give us a legal definition of marriage that either complies with natural and moral law and the principles of the American founding, or like Dred Scott ignores those principles to impose a political ideology on the nation. What we do together between now and then is critical. Will you help us do everything we can to avoid a Dred Scott decision on marriage?

Today's Money Beg From Brian Brown
"Support for same-sex marriage has dropped over the past year by six percentage points, while opposition has increased. In fact, more voters are opposed to same-sex 'marriage' (44%) than are in favor of it (42%). This dramatic change in public opinion comes as activist judges throughout the country have been working overtime to redefine marriage in direct opposition to the decision of over fifty million voters. While the media seems utterly baffled by these findings — unable to process them and therefore report on them — we are not surprised in the least. Please make plans for joining us for the March for Marriage this year as we make the case for marriage. Three days after the justices of the Supreme Court see the outpouring of support for marriage, they will hear oral argument in the case that could shape the legal definition of marriage in America for years to come. In the mean time, please consider making a generous donation to support our efforts to organize and promote this critical event. We have a great deal of work to do and nobody to turn to for help except for loyal supporters like you." - Hate group leader Brian Brown, choosing to ignore the record-high 59% support for marriage equality reported last week in a major national survey.
