Brian Brown Has The Fox Debate Sadz

"The nation watched the first debate of the presidential cycle this week, as Fox News hosted the affair from Cleveland on Thursday evening. As many NOM supporters have observed, the mainstream media rarely treats the marriage issue with the importance it deserves, and even Fox News has been reluctant to give it fair and balanced coverage. Regrettably, this was evident in their handling of the marriage issue during the presidential debate. Only two candidates were asked about marriage, and it was phrased in an adversarial way, pitting support for traditional marriage as being at odds with support for a gay family member. How ridiculous! Sadly, when it came to the marriage issue, Fox News bumbled badly. We hope that future debates will give the candidates a fuller opportunity to expound on their views about protecting marriage and the actions they will take as president to reverse the illegitimate ruling of the Supreme Court. NOM is committed to helping the American people separate out the marriage champions from the pretenders by issuing our Presidential Marriage Pledge. A number of candidates have signed onto our pledge, and we will be announcing those names soon." - Hate group leader Brian Brown, writing for NOM's blog.

Lively: It's Time For A Christian Revolution

"How is it that a relatively tiny handful of homosexual activists, themselves representing less than 2% of our population, has managed in the same period of time to establish a reign of homo-fascism in the United States that has turned centuries-old American values upside down and has turned its large Christian plurality (if not majority) into criminals (if they dare to cling to the teachings of the Bible)? Isn’t it true that one man with the flimsiest of plans could utterly defeat the abortion industry and the LGBT agenda in short order — if God backed Him? So why have virtually all our efforts failed? It’s really pretty simple. The American church just doesn’t have God’s favor anymore. The brutal truth is the church has lost the so-called culture war and is now under occupation, like the French under the Nazis, with nothing left to do but organize resistance and plot to overthrow the occupiers through a political revolt." - Crimes against humanity defendant Scott Lively, writing for his blog.

Monica Cole Has The Boy Scouts Sadz

"As 1MM predicted, the Boy Scouts of America has dropped its ban on homosexual adult leaders. This means men who are attracted to males are now welcome on campouts in intimate proximity to boys. Last week, the BSA's National Executive Board approved the new policy on a 45-12 vote. This follows a vote just two years ago to allow homosexual boys to join the ranks. The BSA has made its decision; now make yours by taking these immediate actions: 1. If you are in scouting, or have a son or grandson in scouting, show your convictions by resigning from the organization. Your dropped membership will send a strong message that your values are steadfast, faithful and unchangeable. 2. If your church charters a scouting unit, contact the pastor and scouting committee members. Urge the church to drop the charter based on the truth of God's word and Christian values. 3. Find an alternative to the BSA. 1MM strongly recommends the Christian-based Trail Life USA program." - Monica Cole, head of One Million Moms, via email.

Franklin Graham Has The Kenya Sadz

"While visiting Kenya Barack Obama publicly lectured Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta about gay rights yesterday. I didn’t know that we were sending our president halfway around the world to promote the gay & lesbian agenda! Samaritan's Purse has an office in Kenya and has worked there many years, and I can tell you that the churches in Kenya know what the Bible says about homosexuality—it is a sin. Sin should not be embraced, but recognized truthfully for what it is and for its serious consequences. God’s Word says, 'the wages of sin is death.' Thankfully though, sin does have a remedy—forgiveness is available through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. As a world leader, the United States of America is now exporting the acceptance of immorality via our president. What will the cost of that be?" - Franklin Graham, posting to Facebook. Kinda sounds like a call for the gay death penalty, doesn't it?

Bill Donohue: It Pays To Be Pro-Gay

"It pays culturally and economically to promote the interests of gays, but not Catholics. From Wall Street to Wal-Mart, most non-gay organizations across the nation have jumped on the gay bandwagon. Not to do so is to be culturally shunned and individually stigmatized. There is no such penalty for not supporting Catholics, and indeed there is little downside to bashing them. Just ask HBO. It also pays economically: on average, gays earn more than straights, and many lavishly grease these non-gay but gay-friendly groups. Consider the Gawker controversy. Gawker fired journalists who ran a story about a married man, Timothy Geithner’s brother (he is the CFO of Condé Nast) for allegedly soliciting sex from a male porn star. No one was fired for posting excerpts of a video showing Hulk Hogan having sex with a woman who was a friend of his wife (the wrestler is suing for $100 million). Gawker founder Nick Denton explained why he took down the story about Geithner: 'If the post had remained up, we probably would have triggered advertising losses this week into seven figures.' It pays to be pro-gay." - Bill Donohue, writing for the Catholic League.

One Million Moms Needs A Million Dollars Because Everything Is Just So Horrible

"I know that many are discouraged because of the recent Supreme Court ruling but now is not the time for conservative Christians to retreat from the cultural battlefield. We must stand up for our religious liberties. We need to stand up now, more than ever before. For years, your voice - the voice of conservative Christian America - has not been heard by those in power in our nation’s capital. But we have an opportunity to change that, and that’s why I'm emailing you today. The challenge: AFA has already invested $1 million toward putting our AFR Talk signal on the air in the area west of the Potomac. By the time the project is complete, we will have spent another $1 million. AFR Talk needs to be on the air by January, 2016, because the upcoming national election will really start ramping up around that time. So the amount of money we need now is $1 million.  I trust that you'll give your whole-hearted support to this campaign, which I believe is our best effort to hand off to our children and grandchildren a nation whose culture is guided by the principles and values of the Bible. The secular culture's war against all things Christian, including life and marriage, will only spread and get worse as we are pushed even further out of the mainstream." - One Million Moms head Monica Cole, via email.

Brian Brown: We Can Still Undo This

Via press release from NOM:
Brian Brown, President of the National Organization for Marriage, recently joined Republican presidential candidates and conservative luminaries in addressing the 2,500 activists who attended the FAMiLY LEADER’s Family Leadership Summit, which NOM was proud to co-sponsor. In his interview, Brown discussed the Supreme Court’s Obergefell decision, and counseled conservatives on what to do next. "We must overturn this decision. This point is a particularly daunting task. In the upcoming election we need to elect a president who will champion the cause for the family, and work to overturn this decision within the next election cycle. Until we overturn Obergefell, we must contain the effects of the decision. There are a number of ways to contain the effects of the ruling, including FADA, a bill that guarantees first amendment rights." Brown ended on an optimistic note, saying never to give up hope; all things are possible with God. He then said that we should be glad that we are to be persecuted—for we have an extraordinary opportunity to stand up for truth.

Maggie Gallagher Has The EEOC Sadz

"On Friday, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission made a remarkably lawless decision: it unilaterally added 'sexual orientation' to the Civil Rights Act of 1964, something wholly unjustified by the text, by the history, or by the plain meaning of the statue, hijacking the civil rights movement in a profound new way. Everyone knows the Civil Rights Act of 1964 does not include sexual orientation. Even the gay rights movement knows it, because they proposed adding employment discrimination by statute, the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), and even adding sexual orientation to the ’64 Act. Now, unless Congress acts, every religious school, charity, and parachurch organization must hire openly gay people, or face potential backbreaking litigation. Will Kennedy overturn this ruling? Don’t count on it. Will Congress pass a law against it, clarifying the Civil Rights Act of 1964 means what it says? Don’t count on that either." - Maggie Gallagher. Franklin Graham: Liberals Are Stealing "Husband & Wife" From Christians

"Where will the assault on biblical marriage end? Now liberal politicians in California want to ban the words 'husband' and 'wife' from being used in federal law. They say these are 'gendered terms' that discriminate against homosexuals. You’re absolutely right they are gendered terms—because marriage was created to be gendered! The One who created marriage defined it as between a man and a woman. They have already succeeded in deleting husband and wife from California law last year, now they want to take it to the national level. This is shameful! Call your representatives in Congress and the Senate to let them know that you oppose the 'Amend the Code for Marriage Equality Act.' Many wedding ceremonies include the familiar line, 'Speak now or forever hold your peace' – Well we’ve got to speak now!" - Franklin Graham, ranting about the proposed change to "spouse" on federal documents.

Harlem Hate Pastor: SCOTUS Is Being Blackmailed By Secret Gay Lovers

PREVIOUSLY ON JMG: In the last few months Manning has declared that Starbucks laces their lattes with "sodomite semen" (which can get women pregnant), that former President George H.W. Bush has had "anal sex with 100 men," that all gay Americans will "become cannibals" by next year, that Islamists are justified to execute homosexuals, that Justin Bieber is a transgender man, and that Christian preachers should call gay men "faggots" as often as possible. High-profile anti-gay figures regularly appear on Manning's YouTube show, including Peter LaBarbera.

Ryan T. Anderson: The Book

The new book by Heritage Foundation spokes-hater Ryan T. Anderson has launched on Amazon. From the product recap:
Attacks on religious liberty--predicated on the bogus equation of opposition to same-sex marriage with racism--have already begun, and modest efforts in Indiana and other states to protect believers' rights have met with hysterics from media and corporate elites. Anderson tells the stories of innocent citizens who have been coerced and penalized by the government and offers a strategy to protect the natural right of religious liberty. Anderson reports on the latest research on same-sex parenting, filling it out with the testimony of children raised by gays and lesbians. He closes with a comprehensive roadmap on how to rebuild a culture of marriage, with work to be done by everyone. The nation's leading defender of marriage in the media and on university campuses, Ryan Anderson has produced the must-read manual on where to go from here. There are reasonable and compelling arguments for the truth about marriage, but too many of our neighbors haven't heard them. Truth is never on "the wrong side of history," but we have to make the case. We will decide which side of history we are on.
We presume that one of the "children raised by gays" is infamous crackpot Robert Oscar Lopez. The book is endorsed by NOM founder Robert George, Southern Baptists leader Russell Moore, and megachurch Pastor Rick Warren. Even though the book just launched today, it's already gotten a couple of gushing five-star reviews. (Tipped by JMG reader Christopher)

Texas Judge To Gay Couples: I'll Marry You But First Sign This Here Statement About How Much I Totally Hate You

Via Wonkette:
Ya see, the judge knows that technically, gays can do marriage to each other, so technically, as a justice of the peace who performs weddings, he has no choice but to do the gay kind now, UGH, unless he’s willing to quit his job altogether, which apparently he’s not. Not yet, anyway. But even if the law requires him to gay marry The Gays, it does not require him to like it. So he will no longer permit photography or video during wedding ceremonies, because, as a conservative Catholic, he knows Jesus hated assless tuxedos. (That’s what gays wear when they get married, right?)

Also, too, if you are the kind of The Gays who insist upon forcing this nice judicial fella to marry you against his will, you must acknowledge, in writing, that the Supreme Court’s ruling in Obergefell v. Hodges “has not changed Judge DePiazza’s personal convictions on marriage,” and that he “prefers to NOT conduct same-sex ceremonies, but will not decline anyone who chooses to schedule with him.” How big of him! Should you still decide to include the judge in your special special gay day, you must sign his form that you fully understand how much he does NOT like your same-sexing, not one bit.
More from the Houston Chronicle:
"It's to let them know where I stand. I would want to know that if I was getting married," he said. "There are some couples of the same sex who don't want to be married by someone who doesn't believe in same sex marriage." The document also has couples acknowledge that their ceremony will be "a brief formal declaration of civil marriage," not the traditional marriage. It also prohibits photography of the ceremony, instead saying couples can use the courtroom to take pictures after their ceremony. "I decided that for my own privacy," DePiazza said. "Because people take pictures and can doctor them or take little snippets out of video to warp what happened."
It would be a terrible shame if people started doctoring photos of the judge anyway. That would be just horrible.

MISSOURI: Dent County To Observe Year Of Mourning Over Obergefell Ruling

Via the Salem News:
The Dent County Commission voted unanimously Monday to observe one year of "mourning” over the Supreme Court’s June 26 decision that gay couples have the constitutional right to marriage. The observance will come in the form of lowering the flags at the Dent County Courthouse and Judicial Building to below half-staff on the 26th day of the month from July 2015 to June 2016. The vote came after Presiding Commissioner Darrell Skiles filed a letter into the public record protesting, “the U.S. high court’s stamp of approval of what God speaks of as an abomination.” The letter details Skiles’ opposition to gay marriage and proposes lowering of the flags so “all who see these flags at this lowered position be reminded of this despicable Supreme Court travesty,” he wrote.
Dent County has a population of about 16K. (Tipped by JMG reader Michael)

FRC Has The Trans Troops Sadz

"The Pentagon must answer whether this proposed policy makes our military more capable of performing its mission. The answer is a very clear and resounding no. This has everything to do with President Obama’s social agenda for the military, but it has nothing to do with enhancing military readiness. No new science has led to the Pentagon’s transgender study—only the politics of the Obama administration and the transgender movement. Allowing the Obama administration to use the military as a tool of social re-engineering will only undermine morale, unit cohesion, and readiness. It’s time that we allow the military to focus on its only job—defending our country against its enemies." - Family Research Council vice present Jerry Boykin, via press release.

Mat Staver: Obama Made Me Weep With His "Cloak Of Sin" Over The White House

"It's unprecedented in American history that the president of the United States would be so in-your-face immoral and impose that immorality and sin on the rest of the country. I wept when I saw that and thought about what a horrible example that is to the rest of the world. I just felt shameful to be an American at that point in time, that this is my country and look what my country has come to. The president of the United States has put the cloak of sin over the White House, the cloak of shame over the White House." - Hate group leader Mat Staver, speaking today on Christian radio.

Franklin Graham: God Will Strike Obama's White House With Lightning For "Arrogantly Flaunting Sinful Behavior"

"A lot has changed in three short years! Just three years ago, the President was on record as holding to the biblical definition of marriage. Now he can't say enough about his support for the LGBT agenda—and right after the Supreme Court’s decision to legalize same-sex marriage, he had the gall to disgrace the White House by lighting it up with the gay pride rainbow colors to celebrate. This is arrogantly flaunting sinful behavior in the face of Almighty God. My advice? He might want to have some extra lightning rods installed on the roof of the White House." - Franklin Graham, posting yesterday to Facebook.

Christopher Doyle Has The JONAH Sadz

"Because of the lack of respect by Judge Bariso for JONAH’s spiritual practices, it was practically impossible for the jury to hand down a not-guilty verdict. At nearly every point before, during and after testimony was given, the judge undermined JONAH’s freedom of religion. Potential jurors who believed homosexuality is a sin were screened out; defense attorney Charles Limandri was not allowed to discuss JONAH’s 1st Amendment freedom of religious expression in his closing arguments; and Judge Bariso effectively handicapped JONAH’s ability to defend itself by cutting out the ability to argue with a synthesis of faith and science, which would have been a true reflection of their religious counseling program. In order to mount an appeal, JONAH’s attorneys, the Freedom of Conscience Defense Fund, will need upwards of a million dollars. This is in addition to the three million it already cost for the initial defense, and the nearly four million JONAH might have to pay for the Plaintiff’s legal costs should the guilty verdict be upheld." - Ex-gay crackpot Christopher Doyle, in a money beg posted today on BarbWire.
