Senate Panel Approves Nomination Of Loretta Lynch As Attorney General

Via the New York Times:
The Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday approved Loretta E. Lynch to be the next attorney general, sending her nomination to the full Senate for what is likely to be a contentious vote. The panel voted 12 to 8 to advance Ms. Lynch, President Obama’s pick to replace Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. as the nation’s top law enforcement official, with all of the votes against her coming from Republicans. The full Senate will most likely vote in the next week or two. While praising Ms. Lynch’s credentials, Republicans made it clear that their objections to her nomination hinged on her belief in the legality of the president’s executive action on immigration, the same issue that has tied up the approval of funding for the Department of Homeland Security.
Republicans voting against: Grassley, Sessions, Cornyn, Lee, Cruz, Vitter, Purdue, Tillis. Republicans voting for: Graham, Flake, Hatch. The Tea People are already calling for the heads of the three "yes" voters.

Tony Perkins: I Might Run For The Senate Seat Of David "Diaper Boy" Vitter

KKK-affiliated hate group leader Tony Perkins has been dropping hints about running for office again for several years. Now that Sen. David "Diaper Boy" Vitter has announced his 2015 candidacy for governor of Louisiana, those hints are getting louder.
Though he’s not currently looking at jumping into the race against [Sen. Mary] Landrieu, Perkins said he wouldn’t rule anything out, including a run for Vitter’s seat or for the open 6th district seat Cassidy vacated to run for Senate, which he has previously expressed interest in. "I never say never anymore,” he told The Hill. He added that while “today, and for the foreseeable future, I’m at [the Family Research Council],” supporters had been urging him to run for office in the state. Perkins said none of the races looked most appealing to him at this point. “Louisiana’s my home. Obviously, I listen to people. I’ve been getting a lot of phone calls and encouragement to look at these current races, but right now I’m at FRC,” he said.
As for Vitter's run for governor, Perkins acknowledges that the whole hooker/diaper fetish thing will haunt his campaign.
Perkins, a Louisiana native and friend of Vitter's, is supporting the senator's candidacy. But he said questions about his past are fair game for the media and his political opponents. "People will be watching him closely and viewing it. And they have a right to do that," Perkins said in an interview on C-SPAN's Newsmakers program, scheduled to air Sunday. "When you do something like that, you open yourself to greater scrutiny and criticism and it's just something you'll have to live with."
And Perkins will "have to live it" when everybody in the left bringing up his payment to KKK Grand Wizard David Duke and his keynoting a white supremacists meeting.

Attack Ad Of The Year

Dan Savage weighs in on Diaper Boy.

David Vitter, of course, is a whoremonger and a conservative Christian who supports "family values." But Vitter is right with God and right with his constituents—and will most likely get his rightwing ass reelected—because, you see, he at least has the decency to hate the homos. Vitter supports a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage, opposes the repeal of DADT, the passage of ENDA, and on and on. Just as New York's Carl Paladino can style himself as a faithful Catholic—never mind his extramarital affair, his lovechild, his mistress—because he hates the gays (at least the grinders in Speedos), Vitter is a "good" Christian despite the philandering because he hates the gays. They set the bar pretty low for themselves, don't they? Hate the gays and you're right with God and right with Republicans. No personal sacrifices required.

Larry Flynt: I'll Give $1M For Dirt On Sen. David Vitter Or Other Politicians

Larry Flynt: "We know we've got a gay senator. We just like to see him come out of the closet. And I think we'll be exposing that in the next few months if he doesn't." Lindsey Graham? And how much more dirt could there be on Sen. David Vitter other than his serial adultery, hooker patronage, and diaper fetish?

Hooker Patron Sen. David "Diaper Boy" Vitter Poised To Easily Retain Seat

The voters of Louisiana are clearly unconcerned with the admitted hooker patronage of "sanctity of marriage" defender, conservative Christian, and serial adulterer Sen. David "Diaper Boy" Vitter. As one of the Senate's chief sponsors of the (failed) Federal Marriage Amendment, Vitter called the banning of same-sex marriage "the most important issue" before Congress. He also said that gay marriage would wreak a devastation on Louisiana comparable to hurricanes Katrina and Rita. And then he pulled $500 from the ATM, put on his diaper, and called Mistress Kandi.

LOUISIANA: Sen. David "Diaper Boy" Vitter Signs Tea Party Morality Pledge

Sanctity of opposite-marriage hero, serial adulterer, hooker patron, and diaper fetishist Sen. David Vitter has signed the Tea Party Patriots' morality pledge.
I hereby pledge to: Support and defend the U.S. Constitution as originally intended by the Founders and as explained in the "Federalist Papers." Act in a fiscally responsible manner: Decrease the size and scope of government on all levels--localstate, and federal; Decrease spending on all levels--local, state and federal; Work toward a balanced budget. Support the free market by lower taxes and fees on businesses and individuals: support only those regulations that enhance competition. Conduct myself personally and professionally in a moral and socially appropriate manner.
Somebody just made a hypocrisy boom-boom in their diaper.

LOUISIANA: Teabagger Challenges Sen. David "Diaper Boy" Vitter To Cage Match

Tea Party candidate Mike Spears has challenged Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) to a cage match over Vitter's admission that he has patronized prostitutes.
"In early America, when a politician insulted the honor of another, a duel was in order. Consider this challenge a modern-day duel," Spears said. "Sen. Vitter's behavior, his admission of breaking the law in 2007, has insulted the honor of the people of Louisiana." Spears, 46, said he wants three rounds with Vitter on Oct. 16 at the Cajundome in Lafayette. "This fight will symbolize the epic battle between the American people and an out-of-control, tyrannical federal government and the reckless politicians at the helm," he said. Spears said he has no previous experience in mixed martial arts, but that he is prepared to go up against a "standby fighter" on the off chance that Vitter declines the challenge.
Vitter, who is married, was listed a customer in the black book of the infamous (and deceased) DC Madam. According to hooker lore, Vitter enjoys "adult baby" play including the wearing of diapers.

DNC Issues Attack On Hooker Patron GOP Sen. David "Diaper Boy" Vitter

Last week Sen. David "Diaper Boy" Vitter easily won the GOP primary in Louisiana despite having been named in 2007 as a regular patron of the famed DC Madam. Vitter later admitted to patronizing prostitutes and committing adultery, but since he's a hard-right conservative "sanctity of marriage" defender, the GOP has given him a pass. Watch the DNC's "suspense thriller" about Vitter's secret life.

Senate Bill Would Block DC Marriage

DC Agenda reports that nine GOP U.S. Senators (with NOM's backing) have submitted a bill that would block same-sex marriages in Washington DC until a voter referendum has taken place.
The National Organization for Marriage, which opposes same-sex marriage, issued a statement Tuesday announcing the senators’ plans to introduce the legislation in the next few days. The statement says the bill will be similar to the one introduced last month in the House by Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah). “An out-of-control city council tried to do an end run around the D.C. Charter, refusing to recognize the rights of D.C. voters to file an initiative petition on marriage,” said NOM Executive Director Brian Brown in the statement, which urges same-sex marriage opponents to call on Congress to pass the bill. “Regardless of where your representatives stand on same-sex marriage, tell them that we ought not to stand for this sort of government abuse against the residents of the nation’s capital,” Brown said in the statement.
The nine sponsoring GOP Senators: Sens. Robert Bennett (R-UT), Jim Bunning (R-KY), John Cornyn (R-TX), Mike Enzi (R-WY.), James Inhofe (R-OK), Pat Roberts (R-KS), David "Diaper Boy" Vitter (R-LA), and Roger Wicker (R-MS). The bill is expected to die in committee, but these bigots will at least get to burnish their hate cred back home. DC same-sex marriages are slated to begin in early March.

But Interracial Prostitution Is OK!

Sen. David "Diaper Boy" Vitter (R-LA) is the only senior elected official from Louisiana who has not denounced the local justice of the peace who refused to marry an interracial couple. And he won't do it here, either.

Watchdog Group Demands Ethics Charges For Sen. David "Diaper Boy" Vitter

A DC-based watchdog group is demanding that Louisiana's lawyers association investigate anti-gay Sen. David Vitter for his admission that he committed a "very serious sin" by patronizing the infamous "DC Madam."
Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington said its request is related to Vitter’s recent request for a Justice Department investigation into ACORN, the community activist group with headquarters in New Orleans. Staffers in at least four ACORN offices around the country have been caught in a video sting giving advice to a couple pretending to be a prostitute and pimp looking for tax breaks and other assistance. “Sen. Vitter’s zeal to see ACORN criminally investigated for offering advice in setting up a prostitution ring reminded me he has yet to be held accountable for his own role in a prostitution ring,” said Melanie Sloan, CREW’s executive director. “While ACORN’s conduct is indefensible, so is Sen. Vitter’s and what is good for the goose is good for the gander.” Sloan asked the state Office of Disciplinary Counsel to investigate whether Vitter violated the state’s rule of professional conduct that says it is professional misconduct for a lawyer to “commit a criminal act especially one that reflects adversely on the lawyer’s honestly, trustworthiness or fitness as a lawyer in other respects.”
The DC Madam killed herself last year, but not until after she called for Vitter's prosecution.

Porn Star Stormy Daniels May Run Against Sen. David "Diaper Boy" Vitter (R-LA)

Sen. David Vitter (R-LA), the hateful gay rights opponent whose name was in the little black book of the DC Madam, may have a challenger in porn star Stormy Daniels.
Stormy Daniels strode onstage at a downtown Baton Rouge restaurant in a tight black blouse with a plunging neckline and a knee-length skirt in the popular purple of Louisiana State University. She introduced herself with a warning. "For those of you who don't know who I am," she told the lunch crowd at The Roux House, "I'd suggest that you don't Google that until you get home from work." She's a Louisiana-born porn star who says she is considering a 2010 run for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Republican David Vitter, whose family-values reputation was marred in 2007 when his name was linked to a Washington prostitution ring.
According to hookers in the employ of the now-suicided DC Madam, Vitter enjoys adult baby roleplaying including wearing diapers. He also enjoys railing against the expansion of LGBT rights.

Draft Stormy!

Via Politico comes word of a campaign to draft porn star Stormy Daniels to run against the anti-gay, prostitute visiting, diaper play lovin' Sen. David Vitter (R-LA).
Remember the Craigslist ad seeking a female with “a history in some aspect of the adult entertainment industry” to run against that Louisiana senator whose past isn’t so clean, David Vitter? Well, it seems someone has been found who meets this ad checklist. Her name? Stormy. Porn star Stormy Daniels. There’s a whole “Draft Stormy” movement online, in bright LSU colors even, at www.draftstormy.com. (She’s from Baton Rouge and in porn — why not?)
The Louisiana Democratic Party isn't getting involved, but they appear sympathetic to Daniels' potential candidacy.
“The Louisiana Democratic Party is not affiliated with the ‘Draft Stormy’ initiative — that movement is a nonpartisan, grass-roots effort,” Scott Jordan, spokesman for the Louisiana Democratic Party, told us. He added: “If their recruitment effort works, it will surely be interesting, for example, to hear David Vitter explain his vote against the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act to Stormy Daniels.”
And you thought Illinois politics was the most colorful. I think a few porn stars in Congress would be great. Draft Buck Angel!

You Just Have To Laugh

Check out the co-sponsors of a new federal "Marriage Protection Amendment".
Two United States Senators implicated in extramarital sexual activity have named themselves as co-sponsors of S. J. RES. 43, dubbed the Marriage Protection Amendment. If ratified, the bill would amend the United States Constitution to state that marriage "shall consist only of the union of a man and a woman."

Sen. Larry Craig (R-ID), who was arrested June 11, 2007 on charges of lewd conduct in a Minneapolis airport terminal, is co-sponsoring the amendment along with Sen. David Vitter (R-LA).

Craig, who entered a guilty plea to a reduced charge of disorderly conduct, was detained and charged for attempting to engage in sexual activity with a male undercover police officer. His arrest and plea became public two months later. At that time, Craig attempted to withdraw his plea and enter a new plea of not guilty. To date, his efforts have been denied by the courts.

In July of 2007, Vitter was identified as a client of a prostitution firm owned by the late Deborah Jeane Palfrey, commonly known as The DC Madam. With a Democratic controlled Congress it is unlikely the bill will be brought up for a vote in either the Senate or House of Representatives.
A tearoom troll and a diaper fetishist hooker patron, protecting the sanctity of marriage. And these guys think they have the moral high ground necessary to amend the U.S. Constitution, the most hallowed document in our history. Again, you just have to laugh.

HIV Travel Ban Repeal Near

Congress appears poised to lift the ban on HIV+ people traveling to the United States. And who's the lone Senator opposing the repeal? None other than David "DC Madam Diaperboy" Vitter (R-LA), pictured above with his mortified wife. Way to stay classy, Vitter. According to Senator Harry Reid, the repeal may come in the next few days.
