Donald Trump is still not sure whether President Barack Obama was born in the United States. In an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper that aired Thursday night, the Republican presidential candidate said he was not that interested in talking about the issue, compared to other ones. Honestly, I don’t want to get into it,” Trump said. Asked whether he thought Obama was born in the U.S., Trump responded: “I don’t know. I really don’t know. I don’t know why he wouldn’t release his records.” In the interview, Trump also claimed that Hillary Clinton and John McCain were both birthers, and mentioned how he got Obama to release “something.” Obama released his long-form birth certificate in April 2011 after speculation from Trump and others that he might have been born elsewhere. “Do you know that Hillary Clinton was a birther? She wanted those records and fought like hell. People forgot. You know that John McCain was a birther, wanted those records. They couldn’t get the records. Hillary failed. John McCain failed,” he said.

Teabaggers Turn On Marco Rubio

According to World Net Daily, the Tea People are furious with Sen. Marco Rubio for entering the presidential race. Also, he's not even eligible to run.

Not all are enamored with Rubio. Tea party types from his home state say they’ve moved past the Rubio wagon and are looking for a new candidate to support. “I’m through with him,” said KrisAnne Hall, a tea party activist and attorney from Florida, the Daily Beast reported.”He will never get my vote. … The overwhelming perception is that Marco Rubio is not a tea party candidate.” Another, Jason Hoyt, spoke similarly. “Once he got into Washington, he had his sights set early on higher office,” he said. “He surrounded himself with people who were going to help him navigate Washington … and in that process, he disconnected from his base.”

Rubio’s not popular with hard-core immigration activists, either. He was part of the bipartisan so-called Gang of Eight on Capitol Hill to reform immigration policy and press forward some amnesty allowances – a view many of his supporters decried as as betrayal of his conservative roots and stated platforms. Meanwhile, others contend Rubio’s not even a natural-born citizen and therefore, ineligible to seek the presidency. Rubio’s parents, as WND previously reported on at least two occasions, were not U.S. citizens at the time of his birth. Rubio was born in Miami, Florida, on May 28, 1971, to Mario and Oriales Rubio, who were born in Cuba, though the senator has not released his birth certificate for the world to scrutinize.

World Net Daily editor and birther-in-chief Joseph Farah, quite amusingly, doesn't have the same problem with Ted Cruz.

Joseph Farah: I Carry A Gun At All Times Because I'm Afraid Of Killer Gay Activists

Earlier today we learned that three-time Just For Men Olympics gold medalist Joseph Farah had been detained at Dulles International because he "forgot" to take a loaded revolver out of his carry-on bag.  In a post written for World Net Daily this afternoon, Farah reveals that he carries a loaded handgun at all times because he's afraid of the murderous gay activists that might be sent his way by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

I am licensed to carry a loaded firearm in multiple states and carry a concealed weapon virtually all of the time. I get death threats against me. Let me tell you about that. Aug. 15, 2012, a gunman attempting to enter Family Research Council’s Washington, D.C., headquarters shot a security guard, 46-year-old Leonardo Johnson, in the left arm. While injured, Johnson assisted others who wrestled the gunman to the ground until police arrived and placed the gunman under arrest.

During his FBI interview, the gunman, Floyd Corkins was asked how he chose his target. His response was “Southern Poverty Law, lists … uh … anti-gay groups. I found them online.” [snip] You might note who broke the story that Joseph Farah was detained at Dulles Airport Sunday for carrying a handgun – the Southern Poverty Law Center. You might also note the Southern Poverty Law Center has repeatedly labeled my news organization a hate group – with even worse descriptions of me personally.

I have many friends at the Family Research Council. I knew that August day that it could just as easily have been my office that was attacked. Again, I’m not making any excuses about my dumb mistake last Sunday. What I did was dumber than dumb. But I thought you deserved to know the rest of the story, as my inspiration Paul Harvey would say.

The gun nuts at WND are chiding Farah for not finding the gun himself during a "groggy" search of his computer bag that he claims to have done before attempting to board the plane. Sample reader comment:

If you couldn't find the firearm when you searched for it while NOT under the stress of an approaching threatening gunman, how the hell do you expect to find when a freak like the FRC sociopath is coming for you. Wear the damn thing all the time like plains clothes cops do so you know precisely where it is all the time (because it can be felt). Then when you arrive at the A/P you can dismount it and leave it locked in your vehicle. Have another one waiting for you when you arrive at your destination. Only good guys with a gun can stop a bad guy with a gun. Bags are the perfect place in which to lose something.

World Net Daily Founder Joseph Farah Caught With Loaded Gun At DC Airport

Joseph Francis Farah, a leading ‘birther’ who runs the right-wing, conspiracy website WorldNetDaily, was reportedly caught by TSA agents on Sunday with a loaded .38-caliber revolver in his carry-on bag as he passed through security at Dulles International Airport outside Washington. Farah, who denounced TSA screening practices in a 2010 column, faces a class 1 misdemeanor charge for carrying a gun in an airport terminal, according to a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority. He was released pending a summons. Farah founded WorldNetDaily with his wife in 1997 and serves as publisher and editor-in-chief. The site is a leading platform for far-right, fringe conspiracy theories, particularly about President Obama. Farah and arch-birther Jerome Corsi have used the site to spin wild conspiracies about the president. Corsi not only claims that Obama was born overseas but that he’s gay and Muslim and may have orchestrated the murder of his former gay lovers. WorldNetDaily, among other things, has blamed gays for the Holocaust, promoted the idea that white Americans should gather together and secede, predicted Obama would meet in person with Osama bin Laden if elected and said that LGBT people seek the “active recruitment of children.”

World Net Daily has thus far ignored the incident.

Batshit crazy birther queen Orly Taitz has filed to run for California Attorney General. If elected she promises to "prosecute state officials who ignored all evidence brought by law enforcement and experts, showing Obama to possess citizenship of Indonesia, fabricated Selective Service certificate, fabricated birth certificate and a CT Social Security number."

She's not the only looney tune in the race.

Attorney General Kamela Harris faces four Republicans, including longtime state legislator Phil Wyman. He proposed that state lawmakers who are found guilty of crimes that endanger the lives of others should face public execution by hanging, firing squad or lethal injection as a deterrent to others. That prompted intraparty criticism by fellow Republican David King. The former San Diego deputy city attorney and regional water quality control board member said Wyman should withdraw from the race.

In recent years, Jackson has made a name for herself as an active Tea Party participant, conservative activist, outspoken opponent of President Barack Obama, and occasional Fox News contributor. Now, she wants to get directly involved at the local level. "I think the key to saving America is normal everyday citizens getting involved because we the people are supposed to be in control, not the government," Jackson said. "I had a political awakening in 2007. I’m tired of complaining. I want to do something."

Jackson is running as an independent because the GOP doesn't hate gays and Muslims hard enough.

In his latest book, World Net Daily's birther-in-chief Jerome Corsi claims to have proof that Adolf Hitler escaped Germany and that the whole double-suicide thing was a US plot.

Corsi relies on autopsy reports, interrogation transcripts, documents from Soviet archives, CIA reports, extensive research in the National Archives and Records Administration in Washington, D.C., and in College Park, Md., and more to back up his case. His evidence is shockingly abundant, and his clear argument lends credence to a new theory that disembowels the double-suicide narrative. “The story Hitler and Eva Braun committed suicide was a cover story, designed by U.S. intelligence agents at the end of World War II to facilitate the escape not only of Hitler and Eva Braun, but also of top Nazi war criminals such as Adolf Eichmann who was discovered in 1960 hiding in Argentina,” Corsi argued.

Surprisingly, Corsi does not blame Barack Obama. But the commenters don't let us down: "He is now reincarnated and is living in OUR White House." Corsi's last book declared that Satan is the secret executive director of the ACLU.

Alberta-Born Sen. Ted Cruz Is Finally Going To Renounce Canadian Citizenship

The Dallas Morning News reports:

Born in Alberta 43 years ago last Sunday, Sen. Ted Cruz was unaware of his dual nationality until The Dallas Morning News explored the issue in August. Since then, he said in a recent interview, “I have retained counsel that is preparing the paperwork to renounce the citizenship.” He expects to complete the process in 2014. That time frame jibes with predictions from Canadian legal experts. He doesn’t dispute holding dual citizenship. “Not at this point,” he said. When Cruz was born, his parents were living in the Canadian oil patch in Calgary. His mother is a native-born American. His father, a Cuban émigré who later became a naturalized American, was still a Cuban citizen. Under U.S. law, a child born with even one American parent is automatically entitled to citizenship, even if the birth takes place outside the country. Canada, like the United States, also confers automatic citizenship to anyone born on its soil, regardless of the parents’ nationalities. That revelation by The News startled Cruz and his parents.

I suppose it's some credit to the birthers that many maintain that Cruz can never be president.

Revolution Day II Is Coming

World Net Daily today published a reminder column from crackpot Larry Klayman, who recently demanded that President Obama "put the Koran down and come out of the White House with his hands up."

Two hundred thirty-seven years after the original Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4, 1776, in my hometown of Philadelphia, we are again at the threshold of revolution, and indeed this revolution will begin on our new independence day, Nov. 19, 2013, when the Reclaim America Now Coalition, supported by the masses who are being summoned to Washington, D.C., that day, reads our renewed Declaration of Independence at a demonstration across from the White House beginning at 10 a.m. in Lafayette Park.

This Declaration of Independence will incorporate all our Founding Fathers incorporated into theirs and include the American people’s similar list of grievances, which if not considered by the ruling establishment, will surely result in their demise. For if these grievances are not satisfied in short order, not only will the people call for the resignation of President Obama and Republican leaders like House Speaker John Boehner and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, but, if this does not occur, we will consider alternative legal courses of action – as did our Founding Fathers with the divine guidance of our Lord.

That "alternative legal course of action" presumably would be another armed revolution. Among Klayman's list of ten demands: "The Internal Revenue Service must be abolished entirely leaving in place only a reasonable consumption or flat tax. The president must provide a physical, original copy of his birth certificate to We the People and submit himself to the scrutiny of qualified forensic experts. The United States must not push for a Palestinian State on the West Bank. The United States must support the Egyptian military and rid all Muslim Brotherhood ties. The United States of America must support Israel in a pre-emptive strike against the Islamic Republic of Iran to destroy its nuclear facilities."

The Date For The Revolution Has Been Set

"On November 19, 2013, a day that will hopefully live on in the history of our once great republic, I call upon millions of Americans who have been appalled and disgusted by Obama's criminality – his Muslim, socialist, anti-Semitic, anti-Christian, anti-white, pro-illegal immigrant, pro-radical gay and lesbian agenda – among other outrages, to descend on Washington, D.C., en masse, and demand that he leave town and resign from office if he does not want to face prison time.

Cruz To Renounce Canadian Citizenship

"Now the Dallas Morning News says that I may technically have dual citizenship. Assuming that is true, then sure, I will renounce any Canadian citizenship. Nothing against Canada, but I’m an American by birth and as a U.S. senator; I believe I should be only an American. Because I was a U.S. citizen at birth, because I left Calgary when I was 4 and have lived my entire life since then in the U.S., and because I have never taken affirmative steps to claim Canadian citizenship, I assumed that was the end of the matter." - Sen. Ted Cruz, in a statement issued last night. In order to renounce, Cruz must pay a $100 CDN filing fee and appear before a judge.

Renouncing won't satisfy the birthers.

Steffen Schmidt, a political science professor at Iowa State University, predicts the issue will linger. "I am certain that the issue of dual citizenship, which was never an issue with Obama, will percolate through the GOP herd of potential presidential contenders because politics is hardball at best and a contact sport at worst," Schmidt said. "Any controversy such as birth and citizenship will be material for other Republicans aspiring to the White House to make hay with."

Corsi's "supporting pedophilia" claim is a reference to the way anti-gay groups are characterizing California's pending ban on "ex-gay" therapy.

64% Of Republicans Are Birthers

From a new national survey conducted by Fairleigh Dickinson:

Sixty-three percent of registered voters in the U.S. buy into at least one political conspiracy theory, according to results from a recent Fairleigh Dickinson University Public Mind Poll. The nationwide survey of registered voters asked Americans to evaluate four different political conspiracy theories: 56 percent of Democrats and 75 percent of Republicans say that at least one is likely true. This includes 36 percent who think that President Obama is hiding information about his background and early life, 25 percent who think that the government knew about 9/11 in advance, and 19 percent who think the 2012 Presidential election was stolen.

Generally, the more people know about current events, the less likely they are to believe in conspiracy theories – but not among Republicans, where more knowledge leads to greater belief in political conspiracies.The most popular of these conspiracy theories is the belief that President Obama is hiding important information about his background and early life, which would include what’s often referred to “birtherism.” Thirty-six percent of Americans think this is probably true, including 64 percent of Republicans and 14 percent of Democrats.

World Net Daily: The Left Is Paying Trolls To Leave Comments On Our Posts

Head birther and raging crackpot Jerome Corsi, who says that President Obama is a Kenyan, Marxist, communist, Muslim bathhouse patron who is secretly gay-married in Pakistan, is now claiming that an unnamed leftist organization is paying trolls to leave comments on World Net Daily. Yesterday Corsi posted a list of clues on how to identify these mysterious "professional trolls."

The person’s posts are usually short and snarky, with reasonably correct spelling, grammar and punctuation, suggesting both intelligence and education. The posts are on the edge of acceptability, with little or no profanity or vulgar language that would get the post flagged immediately. The person has a high ratio of posts to the number of days on the site, suggesting he’s posting comments nearly full time and is getting paid to troll. The person posts politely on progressive websites but nastily on conservative websites, using the same username and IP address. The person’s posts are consistently belittling, rather than intelligent objections and points. The person’s posts address a broad spectrum of topics rather than focusing on one or two subjects of particular interest. The consistency is in the support of leftist policies and positions taken by the Obama administration.
