Desperation Move By Janet Porter
Via Right Wing Watch:
Faith 2 Action's Janet Porter is currently leading an effort to pressure Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine "to file a Motion to Rehear Obergefell v. Hodges" with the Supreme Court, so that the recently decided gay marriage case can be reargued, this time without the participation of Justices Elena Kagan and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, whom Porter insists must recuse themselves. The window for filing such a motion closes tomorrow and having received no support from DeWine, Porter is now getting increasingly desperate and has expanded her call to the attorneys general of Michigan, Tennessee, and Kentucky, sending out an email today warning that they will be responsible when "Christianity is criminalized" and Christians are "carted off to jail" because they failed to get the gay marriage decision overturnedSee the full crazy rant here.

Janet Porter: Demand That Ohio Requests Rehearing Of Obergefell By SCOTUS
"Are you upset about what the Supreme Court did to marriage? Now, there’s something you can do about it. We can ask the court to rehear the case because two justices violated the federal law which states, 'Any justice… of the United States shall disqualify himself in any proceeding in which his impartiality might reasonably be questioned.' [28 U.S. Code § 455] Justices Kagan and Ginsburg both officiated homosexual so-called weddings, which disqualifies them from ruling on the case. Ask Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine to file a motion for rehearing the marriage case at: 800-282-0515 because it was illegally rendered. Ask him to call for a motion for rehearing the case." - Janet Porter, writing for BarbWire.
RELATED: Porter's recent anti-gay film features Rand Paul, Mike Huckabee, and Theodore Shoebat, the latter of whom has called for executing all homosexuals and all Christians who support same-sex marriage.

Haters Post Michigan Billboards
Last week the Crackpot Coalition (Porno Pete, Scott Lively, Janet Porter, etc) delivered boxes and boxes of hilarious restraining orders to the US Supreme Court. This week they are posting the above message on electronic billboards across Michigan, which is one of the four states with cases under consideration. The images rotate between the identities seen above. Local activists have launched a GoFundMe drive to post answering messages. (Tipped by JMG reader Corey)

Scott Lively: I'll Be Outside SCOTUS To Deliver "Two Million Restraining Orders"
Via press release:
Constitutional Attorney and former Massachusetts Gubernatorial Candidate Dr. Scott Lively, in his capacity as President of Abiding Truth Ministries and it’s global subsidiary Defend the Family International, will reiterate his call for the immediate recusal of Supreme Court Justices Ruth Bader Ginsberg and Elena Kagan at a press conference on the steps of the Supreme Court in Washington DC on Monday, April 27th at 10:00am. Lively is one of fifteen national pro-family leaders who have organized the “Restrain the Judges” Project, calling on the Congress of the United States to exercise its power under Article 3, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution to remove jurisdiction over marriage from the Supreme Court. The members of this coalition will present as many as 2 million “Restraining Orders” to the Supreme Court at the press conference. These are letters from pro-family advocates across the nation personalized to all 535 Members of the Congress and the 9 Justices of the Supreme Court."As many as two million." Heh. The petitions are being coordinated by ReaganBook nutjob Janet Porter and Lively swears that nobody is profiting from the $50 per petition cost.
Lively continues:
If this court declares homosexual sodomy to be a basis for marriage by judicial fiat and the majority ruling relies on the blatantly pre-judiced (pre-judged) votes of Gingberg and/or Kagan, this nation will be thrown into a state of civil and moral chaos not seen since the civil war. A sizable portion of our citizenry, and numerous state governments will rightly refuse to comply with the ruling of the court and civil disobedience will be the only recourse for people of strong Biblical faith.

Hate Groups: For $50 We'll Tell Congress To Issue A Restraining Order On Marriage
Here's a laugh. Brian Tashman writes at Right Wing Watch:
A coalition of far-right groups, including Faith 2 Action, Americans For Truth About Homosexuality, BarbWire, Vision America Action and the Judicial Action Group, wants Congress to order the Supreme Court and other federal courts to “cease and desist” from ruling on same-sex marriage cases. In a letter to Congress, which it dubs a “Restraining Order,” the coalition claims that the “judicial usurpation” on marriage “fueled a government assault on Constitutionally protected First Amendment rights of pastors, churches, business and facility owners, employees, public officials, organizations, ministries and citizens.” Of course, the coalition is asking for as much as $49.95 to send the letters to members of Congress.Listen, they have a website so this is totally serious.

TRAILER: Light Wins
Kyle Mantyla writes at Right Wing Watch:
Radical Religious Right activist Janet Porter has released yet another trailer for her upcoming documentary "Light Wins: How To Overcome The Criminalization Of Christianity," which features a who's who of anti-gay activists as well as several Republican members of Congress and presidential hopefuls Rand Paul and Mike Huckabee. "Like a tank in Tiananmen Square," Porter says, as she walks down the middle of a dark street as a pair of headlights bear down upon her, "the homosexual agenda has been running over people since Anita Bryant's courageous stand in the 1970s." After that, it is nothing but 10 minutes of anti-gay activists calling upon Christians to rise up and fight back against the "homosexual agenda."So many of the most infamous anti-gay villains are in this clip, your computer might just explode from all the spittle-flecked crackpottery.

Janet Porter: Boycott Tylenol For Including A Family With Two Moms In Their Ad
Tylenol is made by a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, so Porter should probably also boycott their other OTC healthcare products: Sudafed, Pepcid, Motrin, Immodium, Mylanta, Benadryl, and Zyrtec. Better get that flu shot, huh?

ReaganBook Becomes FreedomBook
Back in July we all had a lot of fun with hate group crackpot Janet Porter's launch of ReaganBook, a conservatives-only social media site meant to counter those homofascists at Facebook. Today JMG reader Sean tips us that the URL for ReaganBook now redirects to a placeholder page for a site called FreedomBook. I'm betting that the Reagan estate sent Porter a stern cease-and-desist notice.
