The World's Longest Word
It takes 3.5 hours to say and listening to this guy is almost hypnotic. Some compare this clip to hearing a religious chant. Note that he could not complete the reading in one take (despite the advancing clock on the wall).

Francois Sagat - Hades
This music video starring gay porn star Francios Sagat will likely be the weirdest thing you'll see today. But surprisingly, it's not terrible. Popnography has the back story. A snippet: "HADES tells the suicide of François who, by being drowned in the Seine, will find the corpse of Sylvia." OK! This is the censored version of the clip.Labels: France, gay porn, pop music, weirdness

The Strange Goal Of Mister PeePee
Starbucks Gossip reports that some dude with the Twitter handle Mister PeePee is working on his goal of masturbating in every Starbucks in New York City. Presumably only in the bathrooms, but who knows? And as things go these day, Mister PeePee has a podcast. Remember, gay people are the weird ones. Duck Sauce - Big Bad Wolf
From the duo who brought you the weirdly appealing Barbra Streisand comes a rather blah track mightily enlivened by this bizarre and NSFW clip.
UPDATE: Thanks to the record label's Sales Prevention Task Force, the clip has been pulled from YouTube. And since their proprietary embed code doesn't work on Blogger, well, fuck you.
UPDATE II: It's popped back up under another account.

Cold Star
I have no idea how to characterize this wonderfully weird clip, so let's just go with its YouTube description:
A boy experiences new desires while watching a man at an indoor swimming pool. Forced up the diving platform by a rowdy gang, he receives unexpected help. Cold Star is a mixture of short and music video. A hybrid, that connects the emotions of a short with beats and lyrics of music. The film is an appeal for acceptance of your own and others sexual identity.

Today In Freaky Catholic News
Angry over being accused of being gay, a Catholic priest in Spain has offered to have his anus measured. Because that totally proves...uh...something. The rumors about Father Andrés García Torres apparently started with his above photo with a "young Cuban seminarian." Ahem.(Tipped by JMG reader Andy)

Westboro Trained FBI Agents
Strangest story this week.
The FBI said Wednesday that members of an anti-gay fundamentalist group participated in the bureau's training of police officers and FBI agents — a move the bureau says it will take steps to remedy in the future. The bureau extended the invitations to Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, Kan., for training this spring at two bureau facilities in Virginia: Quantico and Manassas. Westboro has stirred widespread outrage with raucous demonstrations at the funerals of U.S. military service members. The group contends God is punishing the military for the nation's tolerance of homosexuality. National Public Radio first reported the FBI's involvement with Westboro. At FBI headquarters in Washington, bureau spokesman Paul Bresson acknowledged that Westboro was invited to the training sessions.

Liberty University Choir Covers Gregory Brothers' The Bed Intruder Song
The weekend the choir at the Jerry Fawell-founded Liberty University covered The Bed Intruder Song as part of their holiday program. Bee-zarre. Aside from the oddity of a Christian university covering a song in which an openly gay man complains about the attempted rape of his sister, they actually do a pretty funny job of it. However, note the replacement of "raping" with "taking." And don't even try to tell me that conductor isn't family.

Strange Turn In Harvard Urine Case
Yesterday it was reported that dozens of books in the LGBT section of a Harvard library were destroyed by a vandal who soaked the books in human urine. Today Harvard police say the incident was an accident and not an anti-gay act. Somehow that bottle of piss just happened to be there on that shelf of gay books and got knocked over.
Upon an investigation by HUPD, it was revealed Monday morning that "our own library personnel" had accidentally spilled a bottle, containing what was reported to be urine, that had been found on the shelf, according to Hammonds. Harvard College Library plans to replace all 36 damaged books as soon as possible, she added. "I believe this is an important new fact in the investigation and warrants my sharing it with you immediately. While we should not minimize the seriousness of this incident, HUPD is no longer classifying this incident as a hate crime," Hammonds wrote in her statement. Some people aren't buying the story. One student leader says, "On the one hand, I feel relieved by the news—but on the other hand, I’m still holding breath on questions that are still unresolved. Why was there a bottle of urine on the shelf? Why did it take two weeks for library or HUPD to figure out that this was just an accident? Did someone suddenly come forward?"
