Robert Oscar Lopez: Gay Parents Like Elton John Are Disgusting Terrorists

"The completely petulant and histrionic response from gay parents like Ryan Murphy to Dolce & Gabbana's comments can give average Americans a small taste of what children in such homes will have to deal with. You can't be a good parent and want to have absolute control over what your kids think and feel, in addition to what the whole world thinks and feels about you and your kids. It's a recipe for emotional abuse of whoever is under your power. Look at the punitive urge, the lust for vengeance, the despotism. That is what I see in Ricky Martin, Jeremy Hooper, Ryan Murphy, and Elton John.

"These are men who will terrorize human beings if they can, if they are within their striking distance. They acquired children the way they get everything they want in all aspects of their lives: through economic leverage, intimidation, and sheer arrogance. Imagine being a helpless and confused child longing for a mom, and being under the power of a dad who throws out clothing and calls for all-out destruction of anyone who hints that you have lost something by being denied a mom. Imagine not one such man lording over you, but two. This is horrible. These people are disgusting." - Robert Oscar Lopez, writing for his personal blog.

PREVIOUSLY ON JMG: In September 2014 Lopez petitioned the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals to stop gay marriage in Texas because he used to be a prostitute. In April 2014 Lopez filed an anti-gay amicus brief in support of Virginia's ban on same-sex marriage. Last March 2014 Lopez declared that gay men are turning surrogate mothers into breeding slaves. In 2013, in addition to appearing on stage at an anti-gay Manif Pour Tous rally in France that was supported by neo-Nazis, Lopez testified against LGBT equality before several state legislatures and he co-signed an anti-gay homocon brief to the Supreme Court in support of DOMA. Robert Oscar Lopez Has The Legatus Sadz

"Brett Baier and Gary Sinise were scheduled to deliver talks at a conference of Legatus. This is an association of Roman Catholic businessmen. Upon the provocation of 'Good as You,' a blog run by a catty gossip-hound and character assassin named Jeremy Hooper, Baier and Sinise withdrew from the conference.

"Despite all the drama-queenery, their pretext for pulling out of the event is laughable. Neither of them was expected to speak about homosexuality or endorse a view on the 'born gay' controversy. Legatus does many things other than argue with the gay lobby. The crux of the faux outrage rested on one other speaker, who is same-sex-attracted but Catholic and chooses not to have gay sex. Honestly, who cares?

"Does everyone who is same-sex-attracted have to engage in gay sex and announce as much at any gathering where one such person might be present? It seems pretty obvious that men who have sex with men are targeting a man who is attracted to men because the latter doesn’t do what the former tells him to do. Who appointed Jeremy Hooper the Grand Master of Gay? What about staying out of gay people’s bedrooms, including people who choose not to have gay sex in their bedrooms?" - Robert Oscar Lopez, in an American Thinker column tweeted out today by the editor of Legatus Magazine.

NOTE: As Jeremy Hooper observed on his site last week, he merely reported on the Legatus conference and its roster of speakers. He did not call for any cancellations or even ask his readers to contact the event's speakers.

Fox Anchor Bails On Anti-Gay Convention

Yesterday actor Gary Sinese canceled his speaking gig at the Florida convention of Catholic anti-gay activists. Today AdWeek reports that Fox News anchor Bret Baier has done the same.
Baier had been among the confirmed speakers at the 2015 Legatus Summit later this month in Naples, FL. But he’s canceled the appearance following recent revelations that the group’s publication insisted that LGBT people could be cured. “Bret Baier has withdrawn his participation as a speaker at the upcoming Legatus Summit due to the controversy surrounding some editorial stances in the organization’s magazine,” a Fox News spokesperson tells us. “Bret accepted the invitation to speak about his book, his faith, and his son’s congenital heart disease. He was unaware of these articles or the controversy surrounding them.”
Both of these cancellations are likely due to the work of Jeremy Hooper, who first publicized the list of attendees yesterday at Good As You. Still attending at this writing: Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, and MillerCoors Brewing chairman Pete Coors. (Tipped by JMG reader DM)

HomoQuotable - Robert Oscar Lopez

"With unforeseen success has come, unfortunately, a lot of challenges for which I was not prepared. Due to some of these challenges, and in the interest of protecting contributors and correspondents, we have had to take down and archive the 2,000 posts that were published here; we have warehoused them somewhere safe but cannot leave them as open-source resources to the reading public anymore. We will be publishing the most important essays from English Manif as books. Our goal going forward is to ensure that the work we do here is disseminated with proper contextualization and having gone through as careful an editing process as possible. In a nutshell, English Manif is all grown up now. We have to take our work to the next level, which means collecting essays and publishing them as proper books." - Robert Oscar Lopez, taking down his blog two weeks after describing his students as potential "snipers, spies, saboteurs." (Tipped by JMG reader Str8 Grandmother)

RELATED: Earlier this month Lopez filed an amicus brief with the Eleventh Circuit Court in opposition to same-sex marriage in Florida. In his brief Lopez declares that Good As You blogger Jeremy Hooper has been writing to people with claims that Lopez compares "gay parents to slave-owners." Hooper reacts:
Making shit up about me is something that Robert Oscar Lopez and his crew like to do. But this is a brief. This is a legal document. This is designed to sway a court based on what is supposedly evidence that backs the person's stated position. To deliberately lie in this fashion and in this forum, without putting forth one shred of evidence (because there is none), is the height of intellectual negligence. FROM. A. COLLEGE. PROFESSOR, no less!
PREVIOUSLY ON JMG:  In September, Lopez compared the Human Rights Campaign to the Khmer Rouge. Earlier that month Lopez petitioned the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals to stop gay marriage in Texas because he used to be a prostitute. In April 2014 Lopez filed an anti-gay amicus brief in support of Virginia's ban on same-sex marriage. In March 2014 Lopez declared that gay men are turning surrogate mothers into breeding slaves. HomoQuotable - Robert Oscar Lopez

"Jeremy Hooper, Scott Rose, Straight Grandmother, and the rest of these ridiculous trolls in the gay blogosphere aren't merely incredibly dangerous because they use desperate tactics to distract people from real, serious issues and impose their totalitarian agenda on others through character assassinations and psychological operations. They are also incredibly stupid! [snip] The entire basis for calling me a rising star of the 'anti-gay' movement depends upon a belief that it is anti-gay to protect children's rights against slavery or deprivation of a mother/father. This is why Jeremy Hooper tries his psychological operations routine where he goes to every site remotely involved with me and says 'Robert Oscar Lopez equates same-sex marriage with slavery.' Slavery is defined as purchasing and ownership of human beings as chattel. If you pay a price to someone else for control of a child, you have engaged in human trafficking and are a slaver." - Homocon horcrux Robert Oscar Lopez, who is ever so pissed that gay bloggers keep quoting him verbatim.

RELATED:  Two weeks ago Lopez filed an anti-gay amicus brief in support of Virginia's ban on same-sex marriage. FRC Busted In Silly Silly Lie

I don't know how he figures these things out, but internet sleuthing kingpin Jeremy Hooper has busted yet another hate group in a silly, silly lie. This time it's the Family Research Council, who used the above image in their anti-gay Boy Scouts clip that I posted earlier this week.  Note the BSA logo and the "2013 policy meeting" sign.  Hooper writes:
It's a complete fabrication. FRC simply Photoshopped a Boy Scout logo and a "2013 Policy Meeting" placard onto an existing picture that they lifted from another site. The picture in question is actually from the website LegalGeekery.com and is described as being from the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
And here's the original photo.  Did the FRC hire the person who's been faking all those photos at NOM?

NOM: Gays Are Worthy Of Death

At NOM Exposed today Jeremy Hooper directs us to a clip just posted by NOM on their anti-gay Rhode Island site in which Liberty Counsel spokesdouche Matt Barber says homosexuality a "sin that is self-destructive" before going on to declare that "the wages of sins is death."

While NOM has historically been relatively circumspect in their condemnations of LGBT people, by posting Barber's words today, NOM has endorsed his message.

Hooper writes of the below clip and another one posted today by NOM:
I actually think I might be underselling the two videos. I'm not kidding you—it doesn't get much worse than these two clips! They are not just anti–marriage equality—these are proudly anti-LGBT videos that denigrate us in every single way imaginable. These videos are from the most extreme fringe of this debate. They would make even some outspoken conservatives blush. The videos I just described to you are now forever to the National Organization For Marriage's Rhode Island strategy. The organization is pushing them on its official website as a "preview of what the same-sex marraige movement is about" and telling suporters to share them widely.

Today's Silly Lie From NOM

Once again, Jeremy Hooper has busted NOM in a silly lie.
"Ooh, Harvard—that's a good school. Those are smart people. Heck, they're even 'liberal elites,' so if they say something like this, it's *extra* true!" That's what the Maryland Marriage Alliance wants readers to hear and think. Only thing? Despite having an innocuous name, this Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy is not a mere scholarly journal, but rather a far-right publication with a stated purpose of advancing conservative thought. In fact, it is the official publication of the very conservative Federalist Society.
Hooper adds that the author of that "scholarly review" heads the Marriage Law Foundation, who claims Maggie Gallgher as one of their board directors.

GLAAD Launches Campaign To Educate Media About Anti-Gay Hate Group Leaders

Today GLAAD announces the Commentator Accountability Project, a campaign to educate the nation's media gatekeepers about the histories of the hate group leaders and anti-gay talking heads that they place before the American audience. Fantastic idea!
Journalists or producers who are on deadline often don't have the time to dig into the histories of a commentator. Audiences need to be aware that when they’re not talking to the mainstream media, these voices are comparing the LGBT people to Nazi Germany, predicting that equal treatment of LGBT people will lead to the total collapse of society, and even making accusations of satanic influence. The Commentator Accountability Project is bringing all of these statements to light, while calling attention to the sentiments behind them. We will show that the commentators who are most often asked to opine on issues like marriage equality or non-discrimination protections do not accurately represent the "other side" of those issues. They represent nothing but extreme animus towards the entire LGBT community.
Regular JMG readers will be very familiar with almost all the faces of hatred and bigotry seen below. Please contact GLAAD if these people appear in your local media. Click on the photos to be taken to a page with information about each person.NOTE: Fellow blogger Jeremy Hooper of Good As You worked as a consultant with GLAAD on this project. Well done, Jeremy!

NOM Is A Vatican Front Group, Part 9

At NOM Exposed, Jeremy Hooper digs up proof that NOM insiders cohosted a $10,000 per table fundraiser last June at the Manhattan home of New York Archbishop Timothy Dolan. Hooper notes that the email address for donations is the same one used by the company that runs all of NOM's social media efforts. It doesn't get any more obvious than that.

NOM Steals Obama Rally Photos To Lie About Their Own Failed Events

Good As You's Jeremy Hooper has once again gone Nancy Drew on NOM's lying ass and proven conclusively that they are stealing photos of massive Obama rally crowds and inserting them into their own materials. As we all know, NOM actually only draws rally crowds in the tens, NOT the tens of thousands as they want people to think. Here's another example of NOM's photo theft.

Over at Good As You, Jeremy Hooper has uncovered a 2004 message from then state Sen. Michele Bachmann in which she warns her constituents that failing to prevent gay marriage will result in a social Pearl Harbor. Or something.

BREAKING: Major Defection At NOM, Top Organizer Now Supports Gay Marriage

Jeremy Hooper has a big scoop over at Good As You today, where he exclusively reports that a top organizer at NOM has announced that he now supports marriage equality. Louis Marinelli, known to some of us the virulently nasty moderator of NOM's Facebook page and the organizer of last year's laughably unattended national bus tour, tells Hooper all about his dramatic change of heart. An excerpt:
As a supporter of civil marriage equality, any statements I’ve made in the past about not recognizing homosexual relationships for one reason or another, of course it goes without saying that I no longer stand by these comments and I apologize for the insensitivity. Same-sex couples, whether they are married, in civil unions or domestic partnerships, ought to be recognized for what they are. I consider myself agnostic and while homosexual acts may very well be “immoral” in the eyes of Christian morality, I can no longer stand by any comments I’ve made in the past about the immorality of homosexuality.

There are a variety of different sets and sources of morals and no one has the right to impose their set on the rest of society. Once I wrote that homosexuals are deceitful people who care only about themselves or something to that effect. Honestly, aren’t we all? It was wrong for me to exclude everyone else from that description. We all lie and when it comes down to it, we will do what is best for ourselves. So throwing in a little levity, I stand by the comment but want to apologize for limiting its scope to the gay community.
Go and read the complete interview at Good As You, where Marinelli also denounces Paul Cameron and Peter LaBarbara. And now we wait to see if Maggie Gallagher and Brian Brown will have anything to say about this.......

UPDATE: The Human Rights Campaign reacts via press release:
“This defection is a good example of what is, and will continue to be consistent in the fight for equality,” said Kevin Nix, NOM Project Director for the Human Rights Campaign. “Once people actually meet LGBT people, they are more likely to support equality.” Marinelli did harm to the LGBT community. He was the strategist behind NOM’s multi-state 2010 Summer Bus Tour and a key digital strategist for the organization, writing things like, “Those who wish to promote homosexual behavior are encouraging people to shorten their life spans.” “Even NOM’s own people are having trouble with the organization’s unusual mission: to stop committed gay and lesbian couples from getting married,” Nix added. “We know such defections among more Americans, including NOM’s most strident supporters will continue over time.”
