Robert Oscar Lopez: The Government Will Pay Reparations To Kids Of Gay Parents

"Over time, there is no doubt that there will be at least 100,000 citizens, probably well over 500,000, placed into same-sex homes entirely or predominantly because of the state’s response to demands for expanded marriage rights from gay lobbying organizations. These citizens will not have chosen to be deprived of a parent of one gender and subjected to the authority of an additional guardian of the other gender – these are citizens for whom the choice will have been made by the government (a government run by an older generation), when they were infants, or not even born yet, and had no way to consent to or understand what was being done to them. A sizable number of these citizens could come together and document losses, damages, or 'pain and suffering' incurred because they were forced to grow up in a same-sex parenting home as opposed to a home with a mother and father. If this ends in a reparations trial decades down the line, we can’t say there weren’t ample warning signs of what was to come." - Homocon horcrux Robert Oscar Lopez, in an American Thinker column comparing the children of gay parents to the Japanese-Americans interned during World War II.

HomoQuotable - Robert Oscar Lopez

"In John 18, Christ states specifically that his kingdom is not of this world. In Romans 7, Paul makes the provocative statement, 'you were made to die to the Law through the body of Christ.' Christians are explicitly encouraged to tune out fads and focus on timeless truths. At his death trial, Socrates describes himself as 'a sort of gadfly, given to the state by the God,' needed to sting the rump of a complacent and misguided state. Hundreds of years before Christ, he presages the role Christians must play today in the gay marriage debate. Gay marriage will cause changes far beyond the average citizen’s predictive powers. Raised by a lesbian mom, I’ve learned the hard way; nobody in society wants to slow down and ponder whether these changes are really the right thing for future generations." - Homocon horcrux Robert Oscar Lopez, writing for U-T San Diego.

Robert Oscar Lopez: Christians Will Lose All Rights If SCOTUS Approves Marriage

"If gay marriage passes, you will lose. You will lose your freedoms. You will lose your voice. You will lose the conservative movement that you hold dear for any number of reasons not related to gay marriage. All the truces and compromises that are offered to sweeten gay marriage as a deal will be swiftly and mercilessly broken once it is the law of the land. Your churches will be watched and subverted. You will risk your job by speaking your mind on e-mail, on Facebook, or even over dinner talking to your own children. If you are hoping to carve out some religious liberty provision in a post-gay marriage America, you are going to be too late. You gain nothing by negotiating some special exception for yourself after gay marriage passes. You must do everything you can to stop gay marriage itself. If you cannot name the reasons for opposing gay marriage in clear, fearless terms that apply to people of faith and non-believers equally, you will lose your faith. The Bible tells us to be wise as serpents and gentle as doves. Don't forget the serpents in the mix." - Homocon horcrux Robert Oscar Lopez, writing for American Thinker.

Robert Oscar Lopez To SCOTUS: Stop Same-Sex Marriage Because Gays Are Being Just Horrible To Me

Homocon horcrux Robert Oscar Lopez has filed an amicus brief with the Supreme Court in which he argues that same-sex marriage must not be approved because gay writers like me have just been horrible to him. An excerpt:
The history of the gay community lashing out at people who have been raised by gay parents is long, ugly, and shocking. This brief affords me limited space, so here I would like to present a few examples to the Court based on my firsthand experience. Zack Ford a journalist with ThinkProgress, has called me “anti-equality.” Jeremy Hooper, who worked long-term with the Gay and Lesbian Alliance against Defamation (GLAAD), called me “anti-gay.” Ty Cobb, an employee of the pro-gay Human Rights Campaign, sent an email to all of his concern’s members (more than a million people) naming me as someone with un-American values, an “exporter of hate.”  Ford and Hooper stated these things on their respective editorial sites: namely ThinkProgress and Good as You. Other sites including Frontiers LA, Right Wing Watch, Raw Story, Towleroad, Equality Matters, Huffington Post, JoeMyGod, and Human Rights Campaign have reinforced this labeling of me. These labels have been attached so ubiquitously to my name that any search on Google of “Robert Oscar Lopez” will take an Internet surfer to stories of my “anti-equality” and “anti-gay” crimes against the gay community. As a result of this online association between my name and anti-gay bigotry, I have lost speaking engagements, been physically mobbed at venues such as Catholic University of America, and faced harassment at my job, at social events, and at professional conferences including ones that have nothing to do with any gay issues.
According to Lopez, all those verbatim quotes we've been posting are out of context or have been deleted from his site. Therefore he really didn't say those things. Or something. (Tipped by JMG reader Str8 Grandmother)

Robert Oscar Lopez: Disgusting Gay Activists Are Incentivizing Home-Wreckers

JMG reader Chris sends us the latest from Robert Oscar Lopez:
"[Gays] have unleashed chaos. What they've done is they've incentivized home-wreckers. They've unleashed so much propaganda on the gay community about having kids. There are so many gay people who want kids. And the cheapest way to do it is to find someone who's in a heterosexual marriage that's on the rocks--where there are kids involved--seduce the person away from the opposite-sex partner, get them to come out of the closet, take them to family court and get custody of the kids. It's disgusting, but people do that. Because it's the cheapest way!"
At the 21:00 mark in the below podcast, Lopez continues to claim that gay bloggers are secretly colluding to destroy him. Leading this "fascist" anti-Lopez cabal, he claims, is Jeremy Hooper at Good As You with help from Andy Towle and yours truly. Damn us all to hell for quoting him verbatim!
RELATED: Lopez wants you to know that he is not "ex-gay."
There's something perverse about society's inability to understand the basics of bisexuality. A bisexual--such as myself--is capable of coupling with either men or women. It doesn't mean you sleep with both sexes simultaneously or have polyamorous domestic situations. I am faithful to my wife. But I have been with men and do not feel like running around claiming I was always straight, which wouldn't be true, or claiming I have been "cured," which I haven't. I think people make choices in life and what you do with your body is one of those choices. People should decide to do things that make them happy. I am not ex-gay.
UPDATE: I'm reminded to mention that Lopez is the founder of the International Children's Rights Institute. From their about page:
Whereas most institutes that deal with difficult issues surrounding children’s rights rely on social science or the natural sciences, at ICRI we employ historically-informed, humanities-based methodologies with a world view. We strive to articulate philosophically-grounded positions on what constitutes the “rights” of a child, and how those rights relate to, or differ from, other normative “rights”; such as human rights or civil rights. The ICRI acknowledges that children’s rights are not limitless, and that there are things to which children are not entitled, such as gender reassignment surgery or explicit sexual media.
Lopez' wife sits on the ICRI's 15-member academic council.

Robert Oscar Lopez: Gay Parents Like Elton John Are Disgusting Terrorists

"The completely petulant and histrionic response from gay parents like Ryan Murphy to Dolce & Gabbana's comments can give average Americans a small taste of what children in such homes will have to deal with. You can't be a good parent and want to have absolute control over what your kids think and feel, in addition to what the whole world thinks and feels about you and your kids. It's a recipe for emotional abuse of whoever is under your power. Look at the punitive urge, the lust for vengeance, the despotism. That is what I see in Ricky Martin, Jeremy Hooper, Ryan Murphy, and Elton John.

"These are men who will terrorize human beings if they can, if they are within their striking distance. They acquired children the way they get everything they want in all aspects of their lives: through economic leverage, intimidation, and sheer arrogance. Imagine being a helpless and confused child longing for a mom, and being under the power of a dad who throws out clothing and calls for all-out destruction of anyone who hints that you have lost something by being denied a mom. Imagine not one such man lording over you, but two. This is horrible. These people are disgusting." - Robert Oscar Lopez, writing for his personal blog.

Gabbana Thanks Robert Oscar Lopez

Stefano Gabbana today thanked Robert Oscar Lopez and other crackpot alleged children of gay parents after they posted a public letter praising his vile stance against LGBT families. From the letter:
Nobody receives more vicious attacks from the lobby than those who come from the gay community and question its policies: children of gay couples just as much as the gay men who defend them (like the two of you). In all likelihood many in the international community will try to get your shows cancelled, your advertisements censored, and your reputation destroyed online. You have shown yourselves to be extremely brave. You have given us great inspiration as all six of us prepare to submit letters to the US Supreme Court against gay marriage.

We want to praise your courage and thank you for your inspiration. We also implore you not to surrender when the backlash grows in intensity. If you back down from what you said and apologize, it will leave the children of gay homes even more vulnerable and discredited. It is important for our sake, for the sake of Italian children as well, that you not apologize or capitulate. Please support the idea that all children need to be bonded with their mothers and fathers. It is a human right.
The letter writers conclude by declaring that they are now "lifelong buyers" of Dolce and Gabanna products. (Tipped by JMG reader Andrea)

Robert Oscar Lopez Has The Legatus Sadz

"Brett Baier and Gary Sinise were scheduled to deliver talks at a conference of Legatus. This is an association of Roman Catholic businessmen. Upon the provocation of 'Good as You,' a blog run by a catty gossip-hound and character assassin named Jeremy Hooper, Baier and Sinise withdrew from the conference.

"Despite all the drama-queenery, their pretext for pulling out of the event is laughable. Neither of them was expected to speak about homosexuality or endorse a view on the 'born gay' controversy. Legatus does many things other than argue with the gay lobby. The crux of the faux outrage rested on one other speaker, who is same-sex-attracted but Catholic and chooses not to have gay sex. Honestly, who cares?

"Does everyone who is same-sex-attracted have to engage in gay sex and announce as much at any gathering where one such person might be present? It seems pretty obvious that men who have sex with men are targeting a man who is attracted to men because the latter doesn’t do what the former tells him to do. Who appointed Jeremy Hooper the Grand Master of Gay? What about staying out of gay people’s bedrooms, including people who choose not to have gay sex in their bedrooms?" - Robert Oscar Lopez, in an American Thinker column tweeted out today by the editor of Legatus Magazine.

NOTE: As Jeremy Hooper observed on his site last week, he merely reported on the Legatus conference and its roster of speakers. He did not call for any cancellations or even ask his readers to contact the event's speakers.

HomoQuotable - Robert Oscar Lopez

"With unforeseen success has come, unfortunately, a lot of challenges for which I was not prepared. Due to some of these challenges, and in the interest of protecting contributors and correspondents, we have had to take down and archive the 2,000 posts that were published here; we have warehoused them somewhere safe but cannot leave them as open-source resources to the reading public anymore. We will be publishing the most important essays from English Manif as books. Our goal going forward is to ensure that the work we do here is disseminated with proper contextualization and having gone through as careful an editing process as possible. In a nutshell, English Manif is all grown up now. We have to take our work to the next level, which means collecting essays and publishing them as proper books." - Robert Oscar Lopez, taking down his blog two weeks after describing his students as potential "snipers, spies, saboteurs." (Tipped by JMG reader Str8 Grandmother)

RELATED: Earlier this month Lopez filed an amicus brief with the Eleventh Circuit Court in opposition to same-sex marriage in Florida. In his brief Lopez declares that Good As You blogger Jeremy Hooper has been writing to people with claims that Lopez compares "gay parents to slave-owners." Hooper reacts:
Making shit up about me is something that Robert Oscar Lopez and his crew like to do. But this is a brief. This is a legal document. This is designed to sway a court based on what is supposedly evidence that backs the person's stated position. To deliberately lie in this fashion and in this forum, without putting forth one shred of evidence (because there is none), is the height of intellectual negligence. FROM. A. COLLEGE. HomoQuotable - Robert Oscar Lopez

"Nowadays the American Left has so thoroughly drenched our campuses in a toxic ideology, a fascism posing as tolerance, that the pact is gone. There are moments when students come to me and say things that sound like the trustful conversations of old, but too many times now, they are playing some trick on me. Students lay sand traps, misrepresent what I say, march into administrative offices and lie about me. The fact that I am one man teaching 160 students every semester used to feel exciting; it meant I had a broad cross-section of dynamic citizens to interface with. Now I just feel outnumbered. The classroom is another place where I have to worry about death threats, spies, snipers, saboteurs.

"I need my job. I will do what is required of me. You will get the requisite exposure to texts as stipulated by course catalogues and professional rubrics. There is an extra mile I used to take my teaching, but I must forego it now. Teaching is strictly business, no longer for me a sacred calling but a dangerous obligation I have no choice but to fulfill. In the future, I cannot show you who I am, and unfortunately this means you will only know the person described in the libelous broadsides put out by the fascist politically correct despots who keep stuffing your head with the new liberal orthodoxy. You will hate me and I can do nothing about it. I give up." - Robert Oscar Lopez, in an already deleted post now viewable through the Wayback Machine. (Tipped by JMG reader Straight Grandmother)

Robert Oscar Lopez: The Human Rights Campaign Is Like The Khmer Rouge

"They’re after your kids, plain and simple; all their other issues are mere window dressing. They have convinced themselves that gays are a tribe unto themselves, so their consuming goal is to populate the tribe so they don’t disappear. Parenthood is their great white whale. They want to have children to love them and call them Mom and Dad. They need to get those children from you because biology prevents them from siring them naturally. Gentlemen readers, these folks are trying to find a way to get the sperm out of your testicles and into their laboratories; lady readers, these folks need to find a way to implant an embryo of their sperm in your womb, keep you obedient during the gestation, and take your baby away forever.

"The main item on the gay lobby’s agenda is patently insane. People don’t generally want to let lesbians milk sperm out of their testicles. People don’t usually like the idea of gay men gestating babies in their wombs and then taking them away. (And no, 'visitation' plans where these gamete donors get to see their progeny a few times a month are not a good arrangement; that stuff’s really creepy.) [snip] According to some historians of the so-called killing fields, in the 1970s, the Khmer Rouge hunted down people with eyeglasses and killed them en masse. They did this ostensibly because they worried that people who were too intelligent might challenge the draconian policies of the government. Fortunately, the Human Rights Campaign has no killing fields, so I and my contact lenses are safe for now. God grant that the awakening of reason come earlier rather than later." - Robert Oscar Lopez, writing about the HRC's Export Of Hate report for American Thinker.

Robert Oscar Lopez To Fifth Circuit: Stop Gay Marriage Because I Was A Prostitute

Homocon horcrux Robert Oscar Lopez has filed a deranged amicus brief with the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in support of the ban on same-sex marriage in Texas. According to Lopez' brief, gay parents escape punishment for abusing their children because child welfare authorities fear appearing bigoted. The brief goes on to accuse Frontiers writer Karen Ocamb of "issuing an invitation for people to harass or even attack me physically" because Ocamb wrote a post which named his workplace, which is California State University-Northridge.

Lopez goes on whine about activists Jeremy Hooper, Wayne Besen, and Zack Ford for daring to describe him as "anti-gay." (Sadly, yours truly does not appear in the brief.) And then there's this recounting of Lopez' alleged days as a gay prostitute:
I believe it was around 1987 that I first had a man offer me payment in exchange for having sex in the back of his van. My first time being paid for sex brought me a mix of shame and further compulsion. I became a habitual sex worker by the age of sixteen in various cruising spots where older men told me I could find other customers; these included public parks, the bathrooms in 24-hour supermarkets, community sports centers, and certain spaces in Lockwood Library of the State University of New York at Buffalo, where I had sex with graduate students, janitors, and professors well over twice my age. The money I received for sex certainly helped me financially because it allowed me certain spending money beyond what I earned with my teenage jobs at a pizzeria and in my mother’s clinic. But the money was not as impactful as the fact that I needed to feel loved and wanted by an older male figure, even if for only as short as a half hour.
Much of the rest of the brief defends the debunked work of discredited researcher Mark Regnurus. Read the full brief in all its entertaining batshittery at Equality Case Files.

The Export Of Hate: HRC Details Overseas Work Of American Anti-Gay Activists

The Human Rights Campaign today issued a lengthy report which details the anti-LGBT hate campaigns being done overseas by American hate group leaders such as NOM's Brian Brown, Liberty Counsel's Mat Staver, Pastor Scott Lively, Peter LaBarbera, homocon horcrux Robert Oscar Lopez, World Congress of Families leader Larry Jacobs, Alliance Defending Freedom's Benjamin Bull, and others. The report delves into the specific campaigns, countries, and funding sources for each these villains. Read the full report, watch the short supporting clips below, and see more on the HRC's blog. HomoQuotable - Robert Oscar Lopez

"Dear Governor Brown, I work for you. I am an Associate Professor of English and Classics at California State University-Northridge. I know that a bill, AB 1951, sponsored by Jimmy Gomez of Los Angeles, may reach your desk for signature soon. It will allow for birth certificates to be issued, which indicate gay men as 'mother' and lesbians as 'father.' I would like you to veto it and please begin the process of reversing California’s destructive trend toward same-sex parenting homes. While you may have been led to believe that children raised by gay couples are delighted with their lives and view their guardians uncritically, the hidden truth is that many of us who were raised by gay couples are hurting and feel that our rights have been violated. Rather than compound California’s problem – too many kids growing up in gay homes – you need to veto this legislation and begin to reverse the process by phasing out third-party reproduction and ending gay adoption. What I am saying may seem infeasible, even shocking, but the reality is that gay parenting is a problem, not a solution." - Homocon horcrux Robert Oscar Lopez, in the opening of a lengthy letter published today by hate group leader Matt Barber.

NOTE: Lopez, of course, is lying. Gomez' bill merely offers three choices: mother, father, and parent.

Robert Oscar Lopez Celebrates UN Resolution That Excludes Gay Families

"I have been to the United Nations and met with various representatives on the issue of same-sex parenting. I can’t reveal the names of the ambassadors I met, because this is all radioactive. But the bottom line is, whether they were from Europe, Asia, or Africa, they were more than aware that a freakish Nordic alliance of Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Iceland has been trying to turn the whole globe into some kind of gay utopian dream. The ambassadors I’ve spoken with are not impressed with the gay pride parades that take place in Copenhagen. In fact, most of what the LGBT lobby is advocating makes their skin crawl, and with good reason. They’re not morons. I’m no dummy, either. We aren’t fooled by this silly trick of trying to say that orphans being raised by their grandmothers are the same thing as two lesbians who manufacture a child using DNA they got from a fertility clinic. People have seen Blade Runner. People have read Brave New World. People know what it means to create human beings to satisfy wealthy people’s desire for designer kids." - Homocon horcrux Robert Oscar Lopez, writing about a UN resolution that excluded gay families thanks to a parliamentary move by Russia. Lopez' piece was published this morning on the website of hate group leader Matt Barber.

Robert Oscar Lopez: Gays Ignored Me Because Ryan Anderson Is Cute

Homocon horcrux Robert Oscar Lopez and anti-gay Heritage Foundation wonk Ryan Anderson recently gave speeches at a Stanford University conference on "communicating family values." According to Lopez, gay students ignored his speech but engaged with Anderson. Because one is cute and one isn't.
The conference plodded along without major incident. The queer students showed up looking very Wall Street with their collared office shirts and executive-boardroom mannerisms. They flocked to Ryan Anderson with commentary, but then when I presented, they sat quietly through the talk, asked no questions, and left. “Shell,” I asked, “is it just me, or did they not have any interest in arguing with me or talking to me?” Michelle had the same impression I did: these “queer” students had no interest in me other than as an effigy to burn. They were drawn immediately to Ryan Anderson’s prep school looks and Princeton charm. “No matter what they say, they are not class enemies,” Michelle noted, hypothesizing that all the banter was like so much foreplay before the onset of a serious man-crush. It seemed that it would be easier for the queer students to give up their same-sex attraction than it would be to give up their attraction to privileged metro power-brokers similar to themselves. She said it was natural that they would not dignify me with any conversation. “Your very existence is offensive to them."
The "Michelle" quoted above is crackpot singer Michelle Shocked, whom Lopez brought to the conference as a "devilish impulse."

HomoQuotable - Robert Oscar Lopez

"Jeremy Hooper, Scott Rose, Straight Grandmother, and the rest of these ridiculous trolls in the gay blogosphere aren't merely incredibly dangerous because they use desperate tactics to distract people from real, serious issues and impose their totalitarian agenda on others through character assassinations and psychological operations. They are also incredibly stupid! [snip] The entire basis for calling me a rising star of the 'anti-gay' movement depends upon a belief that it is anti-gay to protect children's rights against slavery or deprivation of a mother/father. This is why Jeremy Hooper tries his psychological operations routine where he goes to every site remotely involved with me and says 'Robert Oscar Lopez equates same-sex marriage with slavery.' Slavery is defined as purchasing and ownership of human beings as chattel. If you pay a price to someone else for control of a child, you have engaged in human trafficking and are a slaver." - Homocon horcrux Robert Oscar Lopez, who is ever so pissed that gay bloggers keep quoting him verbatim.

RELATED:  Two weeks ago Lopez filed an anti-gay amicus brief in support of Virginia's ban on same-sex marriage. Last month Lopez declared that gay men are turning surrogate mothers into breeding slaves. Last year, in addition to appearing on stage at an anti-gay Manif Pour Tous rally in France that was supported by neo-Nazis, Lopez testified against LGBT equality before several state legislatures and he co-signed an anti-gay homocon brief to the Supreme Court in support of DOMA. You really must read the Media Matters take on Lopez' trilogy of gay erotica.
