RUSSIA: The Media Makes You Gay

According to a just-published poll, almost half of the people in Russia believe that gayness is acquired through exposure in the media.

“Forty-seven percent of the respondents said media and propaganda were the key factors contributing to development of a person’s non-traditional sexual orientation,” the pollster said in a press release issued Thursday. Among other vital factors that impact the development of homosexuality, respondents named the influence of friends and parents (35 and 33 percent, respectively). Only 16 percent said that negative experience of past relationships with people of the opposite sex brings about homosexuality. Same-sex relations were only decriminalized in Russia in 1993, and anti-gay sentiment remains strong among Russians, including the political establishment.

Here's a stunning idea — arming transit workers with Tasers so they can zap bad guys who menace them. It’s the brainchild of state Sen. Eric Adams (D-Brooklyn), who wants bus drivers, subway conductors and other transit workers to be able to protect themselves and passengers from crazy riders, criminals and even would-be terrorists. Transport Workers Union Local 100 is supporting Adams’ legislative effort because it is tired of its members being “treated like punching bags” by irate riders, said the local’s president, John Samuelsen. “Equipping and training our members to responsibly use Tasers will end the assaults that are currently plaguing our members,” Samuelsen said. “Additionally, it will act as a strong deterrent against crime against our riders on the buses and trains.”

The MTA and the NYPD both say they oppose the idea. The 37,000 member union says it plans to make Adams' bill the centerpiece of their upcoming convention.

Malaysia MP Calls For "Gay Rehab" Centers

Claiming that 30% of the nation has somehow become homosexual, a member of Malaysia's parliament is calling for "gay rehab" centers.

Bernama Online reported that Datuk Baharum Mohamad, a Barisan Nasional MP, told the country’s Parliament yesterday that three in ten men in the country were gay, a figure he described as “scary”. Baharum said: “We have to find a solution to combat these activities from getting rampant just like the efforts we take to combat drugs. “A study has found that, right now, three out of 10 men in Malaysia are gay. This is scary.” The study has so far not been identified and it is not clear whether Baharum intended ‘rehabilitation’ to be voluntary. Sodomy is illegal in Malaysia, and the country has already caused anger after it sent “effeminate” boys to a “gay cure” camp in early 2011.

During his appearance on Sunday's PBS Newshour, Herman Cain raised the specter of China gaining access to nuclear weapons. Unfortunately for him, they've had them for 47 years.

Woodruff began the interview asking whether China was “a potential military threat to the United States” in Cain’s eyes. Cain answered in the affirmative, and responded that in order to neutralize the threat, he would “outgrow China” economically. Then he noted that the threat was assuaged significantly by the fact that “we already have superiority in terms of our military capability.” “I plan to get away from making cutting our defense a priority,” he noted, stating his motto as “peace through strength and clarity.” He then turned to the threat he saw he would need to stop: “they’ve indicated that they’re trying to develop nuclear capability and they want to develop more aircraft carriers like we have.”

I find all this activity to legalize “gay marriage” and to introduce a gay agenda into the curriculums in the nation’s schools a distinct threat to the fabric of a society based on the undisputed normality of heterosexuality. I am pretty sure the “straight” citizens of Boston and elsewhere find it offensive to host a gay parade. I believe the greater society has a right to protect itself, its children and its military forces against these legislative intrusions, mandates and coercions to force acceptance upon it. If it continues, it will become one more factor in the destruction of America, a signal that its moral foundations continue to be eroded.

So we strapped on our riot chaps, poured pink paint into light bulbs, grabbed hammers, and went party party party! all over that tacky testament to the transformation of radical queer liberation into consumer junk.
