Robert Oscar Lopez To SCOTUS: Stop Same-Sex Marriage Because Gays Are Being Just Horrible To Me

Homocon horcrux Robert Oscar Lopez has filed an amicus brief with the Supreme Court in which he argues that same-sex marriage must not be approved because gay writers like me have just been horrible to him. An excerpt:
The history of the gay community lashing out at people who have been raised by gay parents is long, ugly, and shocking. This brief affords me limited space, so here I would like to present a few examples to the Court based on my firsthand experience. Zack Ford a journalist with ThinkProgress, has called me “anti-equality.” Jeremy Hooper, who worked long-term with the Gay and Lesbian Alliance against Defamation (GLAAD), called me “anti-gay.” Ty Cobb, an employee of the pro-gay Human Rights Campaign, sent an email to all of his concern’s members (more than a million people) naming me as someone with un-American values, an “exporter of hate.”  Ford and Hooper stated these things on their respective editorial sites: namely ThinkProgress and Good as You. Other sites including Frontiers LA, Right Wing Watch, Raw Story, Towleroad, Equality Matters, Huffington Post, JoeMyGod, and Human Rights Campaign have reinforced this labeling of me. These labels have been attached so ubiquitously to my name that any search on Google of “Robert Oscar Lopez” will take an Internet surfer to stories of my “anti-equality” and “anti-gay” crimes against the gay community. As a result of this online association between my name and anti-gay bigotry, I have lost speaking engagements, been physically mobbed at venues such as Catholic University of America, and faced harassment at my job, at social events, and at professional conferences including ones that have nothing to do with any gay issues.
According to Lopez, all those verbatim quotes we've been posting are out of context or have been deleted from his site. Therefore he really didn't say those things. Or something. (Tipped by JMG reader Str8 Grandmother)

PREVIOUSLY ON JMG: Last month Lopez declared that gay activists are incentivizing home-wreckers. Also last month Lopez declared that gay parents like Elton John are disgusting terrorists. In December 2014 Lopez filed an amicus brief with the Eleventh Circuit Court in which he opposed Florida marriage because gays have been telling lies about him. In September 2014 Lopez compared the Human Rights Campaign to the Khmer Rouge. Also in September 2014 Lopez petitioned the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals to stop gay marriage in Texas because he used to be a prostitute. In April 2014 Lopez filed an anti-gay amicus brief in support of Virginia's ban on same-sex marriage. In March 2014 Lopez declared that gay men are turning surrogate mothers into breeding slaves. In 2013, in addition to appearing on stage at an anti-gay Manif Pour Tous rally in France that was supported by neo-Nazis, Lopez testified against LGBT equality before several state legislatures and he co-signed an anti-gay homocon brief to the Supreme Court in support of DOMA. You really must read the Media Matters take on Lopez' trilogy of gay erotica.

Liberty Counsel Has The Florida Sadz

"As a result of the purposeful misinterpretation of Judge Hinkle’s now infamous 'clarification' in the federal case Brenner v. Scott, clerks of court throughout Florida began today issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples, disregarding their oaths to uphold the Florida Constitution. And despite appeals of Judge Hinkle’s ruling and the state court marriage cases waiting to be heard, Florida Circuit Judge Sarah Zabel yesterday lifted her own stay in one of those cases, Pareto v. Ruvin, to allow same-sex 'marriages' to begin immediately in Miami-Dade County. We are witnessing a decay of the rule of law. Judges are lawlessly conducting same-sex marriages. Judge Zabel should be ashamed and should face an inquiry, because her act of performing same-sex marriages for the litigants over which she presides betrays the public trust that judges should be impartial. Judge Zabel should be impeached." - Hate group leader Mat Staver, in a press release that also trumpets his having authored Florida's constitutional ban on same-sex marriage.

Matt Barber Has The Indiana Sadz

Via Barbwire:
Federal courts in Indiana and Utah on Wednesday blatantly disregarded the will of the people and subversively imposed same-sex “marriage” on the citizens of both states. The judicial oligarchy (tyranny of the few) continues flexing the muscle of its apparently unchecked power. The death of democracy is undeniably upon us. Each victory for the homosexual activists represents another nail in America’s coffin. The light of morality and freedom is being brutishly snuffed out right before our very eyes. It’s a national tragedy unfolding at an accelerating pace.
Hooray for the accelerating pace! Zoom, zoom, zoom!

Brian Brown Still Has The Hawaii Sadz

"How many folks still have common sense? Quite a few, actually. We've seen this common sense most recently in Hawaii where over ten thousand people came out in peaceful and prayerful protest against their legislature's decision to redefine marriage. In fact, we know that it is the vast majority of Hawaiians, and by no means the minority, who know that marriage is the union of one man and one woman — who know that marriage matters because the love of a mom and the love of a dad are equally invaluable to the well-being of a child. We know that a strong majority of Americans believe that marriage is the union of one man and one woman. We asked voters this question on Election Day 2012, and 60% agreed with the traditional definition of marriage. But you don't read that much in the media. We also know it from the overwhelming majority of votes that have been cast in states across America when voters have been given the opportunity to vote on marriage (something the people of Hawaii were sadly denied.) - Hate group leader Brian Brown, in a money beg that also whines about ENDA and transgender students.

Brian Brown Has The Minnesota Sadz

"Make no mistake, this vote will bring the demise of the DFL majority and end the careers of wayward Republicans in the Legislature once voters have their say. The people of Minnesota did not vote for gay marriage in 2012. They voted to maintain traditional marriage by maintaining the status quo. Our opponents bought a victory by claiming that marriage was not under threat of redefinition, but in fact they always intended to redefine it at the soonest possible moment. Legislators who voted to redefine marriage were foolish to do so. They cast a terrible vote that damages society, tells children they don’t deserve a mother and a father, and brands supporters of traditional marriage as bigots. We predict that this vote will be career ending for many legislators in Minnesota." - Hate group leader Brian Brown, earning frequent flyer points on the waambulance for the third time in two weeks.

Minnesota Gives Brian Brown The Sadz

"Minnesota voters should be outraged that they were sold a bill of goods by gay marriage activists last November. Our opponents filled the airwaves and spent millions claiming marriage was under no threat in Minnesota. And yet they lost no time in pushing for the redefinition of marriage as soon as our marriage protection amendment failed, despite new polling that shows a majority of Minnesotans oppose redefining marriage. We have long argued there is a very grave threat to marriage and today we witnessed our predictions sadly confirmed.  The recent actions in Minnesota should serve as a wakeup call to other states that have not yet passed Marriage Protection Amendments: if you do not protect marriage proactively in your constitution, the powerful and wealthy gay marriage lobby will target your state for their next campaign to change your laws. The new legislation in Minnesota will expose pro-marriage Minnesotans to additional legal action and harassment, as we have seen happen time and time again in other states that have redefined marriage." - Hate group leader Brian Brown, riding the waambulance.

Rhode Island Gives NOM The Sadz

"Children deserve to know and be cared for by a mom and a dad. This law will intentionally deny children one or the other. The full impact may not be seen next week or next year, but our children will be the ones who pay the price for this decision. Without robust legal protections to allow these faithful people and groups to maintain fidelity in the public square to their religious beliefs, we’re likely to see a raft of lawsuits and governmental action such as license revocations, fines and denial of governmental contracts to these faith-based groups and individuals." - NOM Rhode Island director Christopher Plante, riding the waambulance for Focus On The Family.

SAN FRANCISCO: Drunk Driving Archbishop Denounces DOMA Ruling

"The recognition that marriage is and can only be the union of one man and one woman is grounded in our nature, being clear from the very way our bodies are designed. This recognition obliges our consciences and laws. It is a matter of basic rights—the right of every child to be welcomed and raised, as far as possible, by his or her mother and father together in a stable home. Marriage is the only institution whereby a man and a woman unite for life and are united to any child born from their union. The public good demands that the unique meaning and purpose of marriage be respected in law and society, not rejected as beyond the constitutional pale. Redefining marriage never upholds the equal dignity of individuals because it contradicts basic human rights." - San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore "Father Of Prop 8" Cordileone, telling Catholic World News that last week's overturn of DOMA was "unjust and a great disappointment."

Brian Brown Denounces DOMA Ruling

"This is yet another example of judicial activism and elite judges imposing their views on the American people, and further demonstrates why it is imperative for the U.S. Supreme Court to grant review in the currently pending DOMA cases as well as to the Proposition 8 case. The American people are entitled to a definitive ruling in support of marriage as the union of one man and one woman, as 32 states have determined through popular vote." - Hate group leader Brian Brownshirt, riding the waambulance.

Minnesota Haters: We Are Being Oppressed Because People Want To Change Our Minds!

NOM's Minnesota branch is super upset that people are using Facebook to try to convince their supporters not to be horrible bigots. What nerve!
“Minnesota United For All Families is encouraging its own supporters to use a new Facebook tool, the ‘kNOw tool,’ to stalk Minnesotans who plan to vote YES on the Marriage Amendment,” said Autumn Leva, Spokesperson for Minnesota for Marriage. “Once the ‘kNOw tool’ identifies a potential Amendment supporter on Facebook, this individual is targeted for ‘conversation’ in an attempt to convince him or her that the definition of marriage need not be protected.” “For those who support the Minnesota Marriage Protection Amendment, this is simple harassment,” continued Leva. “This latest move by MUFAF also demonstrates the type of behavior Minnesotans will see more of if marriage is ever redefined. The majority of Minnesotans who believe that marriage is between one man and one woman will be forced into government-sanctioned silence and given no room to exercise their right to act on their beliefs.”
Leva concludes: “Being targeted by the ‘kNOw tool’ is only the beginning. The Marriage Protection Amendment is needed to prevent Minnesota from becoming the next Massachusetts or Canada where those who believe marriage should be defined as between one man and one woman are not only stalked by a social media ‘election profiling’ tool, but also treated as bigots deserving punishment under the law and in civil lawsuits."

No Dem Convention For World Net Daily

"This decision by the DNC is clearly a political one. The Democrats know there are only a few media outlets in the country watchdogging them with a critical eye as to their frequent abuse of the Constitution. They don’t want any hard-hitting questions asked at their dog-and-pony show. They are only interested in presenting a well-staged, choreographed extravaganza without any controversy. That’s why WND was not invited to the party." - World Net Daily founder Joseph Farah, riding the waambulance.

AFA Rides The Target Waambulance

The American Family Association has issued a crybaby notice that Target is blocking their campaign of anti-gay emails over the Pride t-shirts I mentioned earlier today. Here's the sample email that's not going through:
Dear Chairman Steinhafel: Thirty-one states have overwhelmingly voted for constitutional amendments to protect marriage as only between one-man, one-woman. And your company does business in all of these states. That's why I can't understand why Target would purposely choose to offend me by donating cash to support the Family Equality Council's push for legalizing homosexual marriage. I urge you to reconsider this promotion and stop supporting a gay marriage campaign. Otherwise, I will reconsider shopping at your stores and choose making my purchases from your competitors.

Porno Pete Has A Sad

"There was a time when homosexual so-called 'marriage' was beyond the pale, even for liberal corporate types. But now we see Microsoft, Starbucks, and other major corporations backing this perverse redefinition of marriage. It's very sad. They ignore that the majority of states oppose same-sex marriage -- not only oppose it, but they put it in their constitutions to keep marriage by its traditional definition. So if they're really about keeping up with the majority of states, you'd think they'd side with the traditional marriage side. Wait, is that my gerbil ringing?" - Porno Pete LaBarbera, riding the waambulance to the American Family Association. [I may have added that last sentence.]

Frothy Mix: SNL Bullied Me!

Frothy Mix is denouncing the cast of Saturday Night Live as bullies after a sketch this weekend placed him unhappily perched on a Castro Street bar stool during a GOP debate. According the rules of SNL's debate, only viable candidates were actually invited to the studio.
Although Santorum, played by Andy Samberg, had only a limited roll in the sketch, he was portrayed as upset and uncomfortable. New Hampshire radio station WGIR asked Santorum on Sunday about the sketch, and the former Pennsylvania senator said that while he hadn't yet seen it, he had been "hammered" for his support of conservative principles. "We’ve been hammered by the left for my standing up for the traditional family and I will continue to do so," Santorum said. "The left, unfortunately, participates in bullying more than the right does. They say that they’re tolerant, and they’re anything but tolerant of people who disagree with them and support traditional values."
