AFA Radio Host Bryan Fischer Tweets Link To Notorious White Supremacists Group

Yesterday Little Green Footballs blogger Charles Johnson busted hate group leader Bryan Fischer for tweeting out a link to the infamous white supremacists group New Century. Fischer then deleted the tweet and denied having sent it. And as it turns out, the stats Fischer posted are completely false. Hit the link for more. From the SPLC:
Founded by Jared Taylor in 1990, the New Century Foundation is a self-styled think tank that promotes pseudo-scientific studies and research that purport to show the inferiority of blacks to whites — although in hifalutin language that avoids open racial slurs and attempts to portray itself as serious scholarship. It is best known for its American Renaissance magazine and website, which regularly feature proponents of eugenics and blatant anti-black racists. The foundation also sponsors American Renaissance conferences every other year where racist "intellectuals" rub shoulders with Klansmen, neo-Nazis and other white supremacists.

KANSAS: Staffer For Anti-Gay US House Rep Busted On Child Sex Charges

Family Research Council BFF and US House Rep. Tim Huelskamp (above) is best known around here for his attempts to block marriage equality and LGBT rights. But the "family rights" advocate now has a major in-house problem. Via Topeka's CBS affiliate:
A staffer for a Kansas congressman is in jail charged with 17 counts of sexual exploitation of a child. Matthew P. Pennell was arrested on Thursday. Pennell was arrested following an investigation by the Dodge City Police Department and members of the Internet Crimes Against Children task force. The case has been filed with the Ford County Attorney's office. His bond is set at $75,000. Congressman Tim Huelskamp Office issued this response to the allegations: “Upon learning of his arrest, the Office immediately placed Mr. Pennell on Leave Without Pay until further notice. Because this is an ongoing investigation, we are unable to provide further comment at this time." – Mark Kelly, Chief of Staff, Office of Congressman Tim Huelskamp.

Hate Group Has The Texas Sadz

"This ruling by unelected federal Judge Orlando Garcia is the most egregious form of judicial activism of our generation. This hollow victory and clear attack on morality and the rule of law will not stand in Texas. The fight for marriage is far from over. This is just the beginning of an epic battle that the Texas people will ultimately win in name of the only true and lawful definition of marriage: one man, one woman." - Texas Values president Jonathan Saenz, via press release.

Brothel Family Values

Public Policy Polling notes an "interesting take on family values."
There's one thing Nevada voters across party lines can agree on: they love them some brothels. 64% think brothels should be legal to only 23% who think they should be illegal. The most striking thing in these numbers is that an equal 66% of Democrats and Republicans each think that brothels should be legal. In late March we found that only 20% of Nevada GOP voters supported gay marriage so that's an interesting take on family values there.

AUSTRALIA: Family Values Pol Busted Leaving Gay Bathhouse

Australia is seeing a Rekersesque scandal of its own as a family values-type member of Parliament was busted on camera leaving a gay bathhouse near Sydney.
NSW Transport Minister David Campbell has resigned following revelations he used his taxpayer-funded car to visit a gay men's sex venue in Sydney's eastern suburbs. A 7News investigation has revealed Mr Campbell allegedly left a sex venue in the electorate of Premier Kristina Keneally on Tuesday night. About 5pm on Thursday night, the Labor MP met with Premier Keneally to offer his resignation and she accepted it without hesitation. In a statement issued by the government, Mr Campbell said he apologises to his wife, family, colleagues and staff. "This will be a very difficult time for my family and friends," it said. The investigation aired video of Mr Campbell seen to be leaving Kens at Kensington where he spent two hours on Tuesday night. Mr Campbell is accused of driving his own ministerial car to the gay sauna. Formerly known as Ken's Karate Klub (or KKK) the establishment charges a $22 entry fee and assures clients of discretion. Its website offers services for men who prefer men, including a porn lounge, sauna and spa. Since 1999, Mr Campbell has campaigned strongly and successfully as a family man in his Wollongong seat of Keira.

Anti-Gay Family Values GOP Rep. Mark Souder To Resign Over Affair With Staffer

Family values evangelical Rep. Mark Souder (R-IN), who in 2004 famously compared gay people to alcoholics, will resign today amid allegations that he had an affair with a female staffer. Souder is married with three children.
Saying he "sinned against God, my wife and my family by having a mutual relationship with a part-time member of my staff," Rep. Mark Souder, R-3rd, said Tuesday he will resign from Congress. Souder, who won re-nomination to run for a ninth term, said he won't be a candidate in the fall. "I believe it is the best decision for my family, the people of northeast Indiana and our country," he said in a statement. Souder is the latest politician whose political career crumbled under rumors and admissions of extramarital affairs. "In the poisonous environment of Washington, D.C., any personal failing is seized upon, often twisted, for political gain," he said. "I am resigning rather than to put my family through that painful, drawn-out process.
Souder's anti-gay voting record: NO on hate crimes (2009), NO on ENDA (2007), YES on constitutional ban on gay marriage (2006), YES on gay adoption ban (1999).

Souder in 2004
: "I believe people can have a propensity to alcoholism. I believe they can have a propensity to look at pornography on [the] Internet. I believe they can have a propensity to be homosexual. But I believe that it's wrong and it's controllable. That is a fundamental, biblically based view that doesn't leave a lot of room or comfortability in a society where they don't want you to have absolutes."

Apparently people also have a propensity to fuck their employees.

UPDATE: First clip: Souder on ENDA in 2007. Second clip: Souder and his mistress on abstinence education. SNORK!

Utah GOP Leader Hot-Tubbed With Naked 15 Year Old Girl, Paid For Her Silence

Utah GOP House Majority Leader Kevin Garn has admitted that in 1985 he skinny-dipped in a hot tub with a nude 15 year-old girl and has paid her $150,000 since 2002 in return for her silence. The devout Mormon and "family values" advocate was married at the time.
With his wife by his side, Garn yesterday told reporters: "I expect to suffer public humiliation and embarrassment. Some lessons are hard to learn. This is something I should've done back in 2002 but I was scared. I did not want to be publicly judged by one of my life's [worst mistakes]." Maher detailed the incident in an interview with the paper. She said that in 1985, age 15, she was employed by Garn, then 30, at his business, Pegasus Records and KSG Enterprises. Garn, she said, "struck up a relationship" with her, as the paper puts it. One night, he took her to a location in Salt Lake City -- it's unclear where -- where they both got in the hot-tub nude. Garn yesterday told reporters about the incident. "I can unequivocally tell you there was no physical contact, there was no touching, there was no intercourse, there was none of those things. It simply did not occur. I'm not trying to downplay what did occur but I want to make it very plain." Nonetheless, Maher, who now lives in New Hampshire, blames the incident for triggering the subsequent unraveling of her life. She has struggled with drugs and drinking, and has had mental health problems.
Garn has been a supporter of archconservative Utah Gov. Gary Herbert. In January he allowed a statewide LGBT rights bill to die in committee for the second year in a row, saying that "nothing had changed" that warranted the bill's passage.

Family Values Champion Brian Blair Arrested For Beating His Family

Yesterday, Father's Day, former pro wrestler and current Florida politician Brian Blair, who campaigned against the Day Of Silence, silenced his two children by beating and choking them.
Blair, 52, was arrested shortly after 5 a.m. after an altercation at his family's home in the Forest Hills area of Tampa, sheriff's Deputy Larry McKinnon said. Blair and his wife, Toni, have two sons, Brett and Bradley, according to his campaign Web site. Blair, a former professional wrestler who is 6 feet tall and weighs 235 pounds, pushed his older son Brett, 17, in the chest about 4 a.m., according to an arrest report. The teen tried to walk away, but Blair grabbed him and punched him in the face with a closed fist, leaving a red mark and swelling, the arrest report said. Blair then put the 17-year-old in a choke hold, causing him to have trouble breathing, according to the report. Deputies said Blair then let go of his older son and grabbed his younger son by the throat. He punched the boy, leaving a bump on his head, the arrest report said. In the report, a deputy gave the younger son's age as 12, though Blair's campaign Web site said he is 13. Both sons identified their father as the person who attacked them, deputies said.
In addition to promoting the bullying of gay students, Blair endorsed Florida's ban on same-sex marriage and voted to ban recognition of gay Pride events. Blair doesn't want homos to impose their "social and sexual agenda upon the rest of us and especially, on our children." But he's clearly OK with imposing his hands around the throats of his own kids.

Tim Gill Terrifies The Jeebus People

Gay activist Tim Gill has got the Christian right positively shaking in their pews.

Gill, the wealthy founder of software giant Quark who was recently named the fifth most influential gay person in America by Out Magazine, was "exposed" by Pat Robertson's Christian Broadcast Network this week as the "stealth" activist behind many recent advances for the LGBT movement in state and local elections across the nation. Gill's good work, while no secret to gay activists, had apparently operated far below the Christian right's radar until now.

But in the CBN feature story bookended by Robertson's commentary, the exposé almost reads more like a love letter to Gill than a condemnation. Go watch the CBN video clip as "family values" strategists describe Gill as brilliant and smart as they tick off the campaigns in which Gill quietly funneled money to gay-friendly candidates and upended right-wingers. Through his Gill Action Fund, Gill helped win dozens of state and local elections for our side - all done while remaining largely unknown to beleaguered Republicans.

From the transcript:
One of Gill's 2004 targets was Ray Martinez of Fort Collins, Colorado. As the three-time Republican mayor of this Republican leaning area, Martinez thought he had a great shot at winning a state senate seat. Martinez told CBN News "the odds looked very good. The polling we saw was very favorable." But in the last few weeks of the campaign, Martinez got hit with an avalanche of media attacking his personal character and pro-life stance.

"We didn't know who was funding it," Martinez said. "We heard rumors of their names, but we could never find their names and we couldn't expose those because they were buried in a barrage of paperwork." Martinez had raised over $300,000 - more than enough he thought to win Fort Collins. But several published reports show Gill and various associates had poured close to $1 million into the race through '527' political organizations.

By taking out Martinez and other Republicans, Gill helped Democrats seize control of Colorado's statehouse for the first time in 30 years. The result? A slew of gay-friendly laws that redefine the family in Colorado.

The Payoff

Today, pro-family lawmakers in the Rocky Mountain state say the "Gill factor" is impossible to ignore. State representative and Minority Whip Cory Gardner says "it puts extreme pressure on people who are trying to make a living at work and trying to raise money for a campaign who don't have deep pockets."

In 2005, Gill started the Gill Action Fund. The fund's mission is "securing equal opportunity for all people, regardless of sexual orientation or gender expression." The next year, the fund's success rocked the political world. According to several published reports, it orchestrated donations worth $15 million to Gill's favored candidates and causes.

The payoff this time was wins in 50 of 70 targeted campaigns and power changes in the state chambers of Michigan, Pennsylvania, Washington, and Iowa. Gill took out Iowa House Speaker Danny Carroll with one of his favorite stealth tactics: small checks from Gill and friends around the country. Carroll says he never knew what hit him until after the election when he checked campaign contributions for his opponent.
The clip ends with a shot of parents pushing their kids on a swingset as the narrator ominously warns that Tim Gill is looking to "flip statehouse chambers and ultimately, the way the country views sexuality and the family." I spoke with Gill on the phone yesterday and he laughed at that image, saying, "They're trying to say that I'm anti-swingset!"

Pat Robertson closes with this: "What are the Christians doing about this? The answer is 'absolutely zip'. There was an organization that I founded but it's not there anymore. To my knowledge, there is no other Christian grassroots organization that is even coming CLOSE to what Tim Gill is doing on the left for homosexuals."

And that, my friends, is high praise indeed.

Sen.Vitter On DC Madam's Witness List

David Vitter (the married, family values, hooker hiring, gay marriage ban voting, diaper fetishist Republican Senator from Louisiana) may be called to testify on behalf of the madam accused on running a DC-based prostitution ring. Deborah Palfrey is accused of racketeering and money-laundering.

Also on Palfrey's witness list is Harlan Ullman, the military strategist who came up with the "shock & awe" tactic used in the invasion of Iraq. Lawyers are expected to walk witnesses through some "embarrassing and graphic personal details" of their encounters with the ladies in Palfrey's employ.

Vitter has admitted his patronage of Palfrey's hookers, but has ducked all questions regarding the specifics of his appointments, although his hired ladies have not been so discreet, revealing the Senator's fondness for diaper play. Let's hope we get to hear the story in Vitter's own humiliated words. "Senatoh needs a new die-pee, Mommy."
