Even When It's Democrats Getting Busted, Perpetual Victims Shriek Conspiracy
Why is that the feds NEVER go after Democrats? [Feds go after Democrats.] Going after Democrats is a secret plot against the right! Malkin followed the above tweets with this: "I know the Obama/Holder DOJ is watching me. Hi guys. Prove me wrong. #cultureofcorruption." And I know that Marvin the Martian is pointing his Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator at me. PROVE ME WRONG.

That Iran Executions Story Was Probably Invented By A Pal Of Michelle Malkin
Yesterday I reported that I could not find confirmation of a claim that Iran had executed two young men for homosexual acts. The story got legs on wingnut media yesterday afternoon, including at the Michelle Malkin-founded Twitchy, which shrieked that LGBT groups were being hypocrites for "remaining silent" on the story. Today activist Scott Long reports that the story was probably invented by one of Malkin's followers. According to Long, the men were most likely executed for raping women. From his blog Paper Bird:
How did the “homosexual” version leap from Farsi to English news sites? Answer: Banafsheh Zand. Banafsheh Zand is an Iranian exile in the US who couples far-right inclinations with a strong fetish for the gays. She’s been a regular for Fox News, Front Page magazine, and the National Review, though all seemed to inch away eventually from her extravagant insights. An immigrant herself, she pals around with racist, ferociously anti-foreigner Michelle Malkin; but she also gamely frequents Glenn Beck‘s paranoiac show to cheer for the homosexuals against Ahmadinejad. She’s a fount of conspiracy theories.Long notes that Zand is the former editor of Iran Press News, where the "homosexual acts" claim was apparently first published this week. Click over to Long's site for an exhaustive tracking of the original Farsi story to what it became on English-language right wing sites.
The debunking of this story doesn't lessen the horrific plight of gays in Iran, but it does give us yet another example about how little the truth means to the enemies of our people. Long concludes: "Everything suggests this was a heterosexual rape case that quickly got turned into a 'homosexual' story — the moment it reached the US. It was reshaped deliberately, deceptively, and opportunistically, as a small stratagem to persuade US gays to mobilize in opposition to Iran, Rouhani, and any possible nuclear accord."
Don't expect Twitchy to update their story.

Michelle Malkin Sells Twitchy
The headline above is from Wonkette. Over at Buzzfeed, they are more charitable.
Twitchy, the conservative Twitter aggregation site, has been sold for an undisclosed amount to Salem Communications, the Christian radio conglomerate and owners of Hotair.com and Townhall.com. Jonathan Garthwaite, general manager and editor-in-chief of Townhall.com, confirmed the news to BuzzFeed Tuesday, saying he was “excited” to be folding Twitchy into existing Salem news properties. “Media Matters types would like to paint conservatives as boring, old white guys,” Garthwaite said. “Twitchy adds more fun and humor to our platform, which will appeal to totally different generation and break that stereotype.”Malkin claims that Twitchy is generating 12 million pages views a month with a staff of nine.

And Teabagistan Goes Insane
Two Bills, one selfie. Already having fun at #CGI2013 MT @BillGates A @billclinton selfie as we sat down to talk http://t.co/iK4Y7tGFIYAccording to Michelle Malkin's Twitchy site, the above tweet posted today by Bill Clinton is an obvious and filthy reference to the "scat-fetish porn flick 2 Girls, 1 Cup." Seriously! And they got lots of tweets from people who agree! Therefore it's totally true!

The Hypocrisy Of Michelle Malkin, CTD
One of the breakout stars of last night's RNC speech-athon was black Mormon and U.S. House candidate Mia Love, whose message was wildly applauded both by the attendees and by many online pundits. But before Love's speech had even ended, the usual faceless nameless anonymous asshat nobodies had taken to Twitter with appalling n-word laden slurs. Love's Wikipedia entry was similarly vandalized. And as is their habit, the editors of Michelle Malkin's Twitter round-up site, Twitchy, immediately reposted numerous tweets from those cowardly faceless nameless nobodies. Because that's how all Democrats really feel, people! Twitchy commenters agree! Libtards have been busted!
But that inconvenient story about the two credentialed RNC attendees who threw peanuts at a black female CNN camera operator with taunts of "this is how we feed the animals" - that gets zero mention on Twitchy. Two real actual people with real actual names whose repulsive and detestable actions were witnessed in person by multiple real actual people with real actual names and whose ejection was filmed by real actual cameras? Nope, Twitchy is silent. Of course.
Also (mostly) silent is the GOP.
The CNN report also says that police and RNC security immediately removed the two attendees. But the City of Tampa’s Joint Information Center, which has been in contact with the Secret Service, told TPM on Wednesday there is no record the Tampa Police Department was involved “in any way shape or form.” Convention officials are staying tight-lipped about the incident. In a statement, convention spokesman Kyle Downey said the attendees “exhibited deplorable behavior.” “Their conduct was inexcusable and unacceptable. This kind of behavior will not be tolerated,” he added. But convention officials have offered no additional details about the incident or what steps they are taking to address it, including whether the alleged culprits have had their convention credentials revoked.Talking Points Memo founder Josh Marshall ponders the hypocrisy and slams CNN for soft-pedaling the story.
There’s a normal and correct tendency for a news outfit not to want to make itself into the story. But this goes way beyond that and puts CNN in an exquisitely awkward position. CNN has been bending over backwards of late trying to position itself as the last holy beacon of objectivity and fairness in cable news, as Fox and MSNBC play to more clearly partisan audiences. Yet they’re under almost constant assault from conservatives for alleged (and basically mythical) liberal bias.
Meanwhile, the Republican National Convention is the GOP’s quadrennial ‘we love us a lotta non-white people’ fest. And given what I said above the last possible thing CNN wants is to rain on that parade or become the focus of a huge messaging nightmare if attendees were harassing an African-American member of their team. Certainly, the Convention organizers want to avoid discussion as much as possible too. As a side note, one can only imagine how Fox News would be going to town over this had something somehow analogous happened to one of their staffers at a Democratic convention.

The Hypocrisy Of Michelle Malkin
As I've mentioned here recently, Michelle Malkin's recently-launched Twitter round-up site Twitchy pretty much exists solely (so far) to cherry-pick "hateful" tweets from "evil libtards" as examples of how intolerant the "tolerant Left" really is. The vast majority of posted tweets are from complete nobodies with few followers, yet somehow out of Twitter's 600 million users those tweets totally characterize the political thinking of progressives.Yesterday's news about Paul Ryan yielded numerous Twitchy round-ups of "anti-Ryan leftist vitriol." Examples here, here, and here. Twitchy's commenters then pile on with completely self-unaware nastiness that usually outdoes the posted tweets by several light years.
But two can play at that stupid game. Below are several examples from yesterday which reflect exactly how all Republicans think. Right, Michelle?

Michelle Malkin: Democrats Are On A Witch Hunt Against All Christians
Wingnut columnist Michelle Malkin tells Breitbart that the Obama administration is on "progressive witch hunt" against Christians "like we saw with Proposition 8." The below video's host then suggests that the GOP lure voters to the polls in November by giving away Chick-Fil-A sandwiches. Malkin adds that her "personal favorite" for Romney's VP is Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal. That drew howls of annoyance from Breitbart commenters because Jindal's parents were born in India and therefore he is ineligible to be president because he's not a "natural born citizen."

Quote Of The Day - Michelle Malkin
"Progressive groups are gloating over Chick-Fil-A’s public relations troubles exacerbated by the nation’s politicized paper of record. Not because they care about winning hearts and minds over gay rights or marriage policy, but because their core objective is to marginalize political opponents and chill Christian philanthropy and activism. The fearsome 'muscle-flexing' isn’t being done by innocent job-creators selling chicken sandwiches and waffle fries. It’s being done by the hysterical bullies trying to drive them off college grounds and out of their neighborhoods in the name of 'human rights.'"Remember: These were the same tactics the left-wing mob used in California to intimidate supporters of the Proposition 8 traditional marriage initiative. Individual donors were put on an 'Anti-Gay Black List.' Businesses who contributed money to the Prop. 8 campaign were besieged by fist-wielding protesters. The artistic director of the California Musical Theatre was forced to resign over his $1,000 donation. Message: Associate with the wrong political cause and you will pay. So much for national 'civility.'" - Wingnut columnist Michelle Malkin, in a typically lie-filled column.

Michelle Malkin: The Left Is Worse
"The Tuscon massacre ghouls who are now trying to criminalize conservatism have forced our hand. They need to be reminded. You need to be reminded. Confront them. Don’t be cowed into silence. And don’t let the media whitewash the sins of the hypocritical Left in their naked attempt to suppress the law-abiding, constitutionally-protected, peaceful, vigorous political speech of the Right. They want to play tu quo que in the middle of a national tragedy? They asked for it. They got it." - Conservative columnist Michelle Malkin, in the opening to a lengthy post detailing violent imagery, rhetoric and name calling by progressive personalities, protesters, and bloggers. On her list, Malkin quotes her 2008 post about JMG commenters reacting to Proposition 8.Labels: language, Michelle Malkin, politics

TRAILER: Fire From The Heartland
The coming documentary Fire From The Heartland is from Citizens United, the same outfit whose hit piece on Hillary Clinton resulted in the Supreme Court decision that corporations can make unlimited donations to political campaigns. This time they are exalting the nation's female wingnuts. Clip description:
The first-ever film to tell the entire story of the conservative woman in her own words, "Fire from the Heartland" is a powerful statement about America at a crossroads and the women who have awakened to the crisis. With role models such as Clare Boothe Luce, Margaret Thatcher, and Phyllis Schlafly as inspiration, these women are the unintended consequence of the liberal feminist movement. Tracing the long history of the many conservative women who have been the backbone of this great nation, from the founding mothers of our Republic to today's "Mama Grizzlies," this powerful and compelling documentary honors the self-made American woman. Activists, politicians and commentators such as Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, S.E. Cupp, Dana Loesch, Michelle Easton, Sonnie Johnson, Jenny Beth Martin, Michelle Moore, Jamie Radtke, Deneen Borelli, Janine Turner, and Congresswomen Cynthia Lummis, Jean Schmidt, and Michele Bachmann share their emotional stories of hardship and triumph in their fight for freedom. These women leaders are fanning the flames of liberty across the nation.Definitely watch the clip, folks.

PhoboQuotable - Michelle Malkin
"Hollywood and political celebrities are such lemmings. AIDS ribbons. Foreign baby adoptions. Livestrong bracelets. Now, every fame-seeker and left-wing panderer wants his/her mouth duct-taped to show solidarity with the gay marriage movement. The latest slave to fashion? Cindy McCain, following in the oh-so-edgy-for-Tinseltown footsteps of her daughter, MEghan. Who’s silencing these Prop. 8 opponents? They’re more overexposed than Mariah Carey’s bosom."They can talk and talk and talk without fear of retribution, intimidation, or physical violence. Meanwhile, Prop. 8 supporters and donors have been hounded, threatened, blacklisted, beaten, and forced to resign from their jobs for exercising their political free speech. Cindy and MEghan McCain’s silence on the continued thuggery of their anti-Prop. 8 duct-tape wielders speaks volumes." - The relentlessly detestable Michelle Malkin, treading the familiar wingnut path of citing a handful of incidents to condemn tens of millions of Americans.

The Calendar Girls Of Wingnutistan
The Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute has issued the 2010 Great American Conservative Women calendar featuring Ann Coulter, Carrie Prejean, Phyllis Schafly, Michele Bachmann, Michelle Malkin, Star Parker, Bay Buchanan, and several lesser known crazies.
It features 11 conservative women, including former Miss California Carrie Prejean, who made national headlines this spring when she did not support gay marriage during the Miss USA pageant. A group shot of all the women features Bachmann and Prejean standing next to each other (below). Bachmann (Miss November) is the only member of Congress featured on the calendar. Beneath her picture is the following quotation: “Since the fall of Adam, freedom has not been the natural condition of man. However, America has chosen to light a candle, rather than curse the darkness, with the bright promise of life, liberty and freedom.”A making-of video is below.

Quote Of The Day - ABC News
"Conservative activists, who organized a march on the U.S. Capitol today in protest of the Obama administration's health care agenda and government spending, erroneously attributed reports on the size of the crowds to ABC News. Matt Kibbe, president of FreedomWorks, the group that organized the event, said on stage at the rally Saturday that ABC News was reporting that 1 million to 1.5 million people were in attendance. At no time did ABC News, or its affiliates, report a number anywhere near as large. ABCNews.com reported an approximate figure of 60,000 to 70,000 protesters, attributed to the Washington, D.C., fire department. In its reports, ABC News Radio described the crowd as 'tens of thousands.'" -ABC News, ripping on Michelle Malkin, Free Republic, and other wingnuts sites for falsely attributing outrageously inflated Tea Party Protest attendance numbers to ABC.
