PFOX To SCOTUS: Stop Same-Sex Marriage Because Gays Totally Make Fun Of Us

The "ex-gay" loony tunes at PFOX have filed an amicus brief to the Supreme Court in which they argue that same-sex marriage must not be approved because, among other nonsensical reasons, people make fun of them. From the conclusion of their brief:
Same-sex attraction is not an immutable characteristic determined at birth, like race or gender. The growing public acknowledgment of ex-gays and the personal testimonies of the individuals included above demonstrate that same-sex attraction is a phenomenon that can and does change. Sadly, because their very existence undermines the immutability narrative, ex-gays have been treated with hatred and disrespect by gay activist organizations. Homosexual sexual orientation is not predetermined and fixed by “the accident of birth,”but is in fact subject to alteration and change. Therefore, Amicus asks this honorable Court to not declare that sexual orientation is a new suspect class. For the foregoing reasons, this honorable Court should affirm the decision of United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Among the testimonies in the brief is one from "conversion therapist" Richard Cohen, who appeared on CNN to demonstrate his cure for homosexuality, which consists of beating a pillow with a tennis racket while screaming, "Mom! Mom! Mom! Why did you do that to me?" Which, of course, everybody makes fun of.

VIRGINIA: Gay Man Fires Back At Ex-Gay Crackpots With Billboard Of His Own

Remember the PFOX billboard in Virginia? Remember their humiliation when it turned out that the model on their billboard, Kyle Roux, not only isn't a twin but is proudly gay? It gets even better:
Roux thinks that PFOX, which has since taken down the billboard, purchased the photos of him from a stock photography site. Legally, he said, there’s not much he can do. But this week, he’s striking back in his own way. On Wednesday, Planting Peace, a nonprofit organization based in Topeka, Kansas, erected a new billboard down the road from where the PFOX billboard once stood. The new sign, designed in the same color and style as the PFOX billboard and featuring new photographs of Roux, reads: “Dear PFOX: Identical twins? I’m not. I’m gay. Regardless of what you believe I was born gay. And I’m proud of who I am.” Aaron Jackson, the president of Planting Peace, reached out to Roux after media reports surfaced that he was openly gay. Jackson was concerned about young gays and lesbians who might see the billboard.

HomoQuotable - Greg Quinlan

"The [PFOX 'ex-gay'] billboard speaks to the scientific fact that to quote the American Psychiatric Association, 'there still remains no replicated scientific studies supporting any specific biological etiology for homosexuality.' There is zero evidence that a person is born a homosexual. In fact, Dr. Francis Collins of the human genome project with the National Institute of Health, who was appointed by President Clinton to do the project said homosexuality was 'not hard-wired.' The reason we see so much of a proliferation of homosexuality in our society now is because we live in a sex-saturated culture. The first century church thrived in a hyper-sexualized homosexual culture in an age of sexual anarchy. So can the 21st century church. We do not need to compromise our message in order to bring homosexuals into the church or accommodate them. The truth is the truth, and if we love someone, we will tell them the truth that homosexuality is destructive to someone. I know because I watched 100 of my friends die of AIDS." - Former PFOX president Greg Quinlan, in a World Net Daily piece that does not mention that the model on the billboard is not a twin and is in fact proudly and openly gay. Quinlan is currently head of the virulently anti-gay New Jersey Family Policy Council.

This Weekend: Ex-Gay-O-Rama

Last year's big "ex-gay" event was a hilarious disaster in which fewer than ten people showed up after American Family Association radio shrieker Sandy Rios had predicted it would draw "thousands of ex-gays." That failure came after they had canceled "Ex-Gay Pride Month" due to "anti-ex-gay extremism." Several weeks later a massive crowd of tens attended an "Ex-Gay Awareness Dinner" held at a secret bunker deep under Washington DC. This time, the media is invited.
Voice of the Voiceless (VoV) is pleased to extend press credentials for media outlets wishing to cover the 2014 Ex-Gay Awareness Conference, October 3-4, in Washington, D.C. The conference is being co-hosted by Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays (PFOX) and Equality And Justice For All (E&JA). Sponsors of the conference include: Family Research Council, American Family Association, Liberty Counsel, Defend Life, The Alliance for Scientific Integrity and Therapeutic Choice, PFOX, VoV, E&JA, and more. A conference and celebration on October 4th featuring former US Ambassador Alan Keyes as the keynote speaker will highlight the many achievements of ex-gays, including Christian singer/songwriter Dennis Jernigan, who will receive the 2014 Courage Award for Former Homosexuals. Other speakers include Matt Barber, Vice President of Liberty Counsel, Peter Sprigg of the Family Research Council, and a special appearance by American Family Radio personality and former Fox News contributor, Sandy Rios, who will accept the 2014 Friend of Ex-Gays Freedom Award.
Recapping the speakers, we can presume that Matt Barber will let everybody know that non-ex-gays deserve to die of AIDS, Peter Sprigg will call for non-ex-gays to be imprisoned, and Sandy Rios will declare that non-ex-gays are possessed by demons. Awards for everybody!

Ex-Gays: Put US In The Smithsonian

According to a report on the right-wing CNS News, the "ex-gay" crackpots at PFOX are screaming for inclusion in the Smithsonian's LGBT history exhibit. The exhibit's curator is not only open to that, he plans on including materials from numerous anti-gay groups.
[Smithsonian Archives Specialist Franklin] Robinson told CNSNews.com that he would also be willing to collect items from pro-traditional family groups such as the National Organization for Marriage, the Family Research Council, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishop’s Marriage: Unique for a Reason Initiative, Concerned Women for America, and the American Family Association.  He said he also plans to collect material from the conservative Values Voter Summit which will be held later this month in Washington. “I am totally open to anybody that’s willing to kind of chat with me or mail me pamphlets because that fleshes this out and it makes it that much more valuable to researchers,” he said. PFOX said that it would be more than willing to provide additional documents to the Smithsonian. “We also have a D.C. Superior Court case four years ago where we won rights of the ex-gays to be included in the D.C. Human Rights Act and we could give them that case as well,” Salvatierra said. “That’s a historical legal case for ex-gay rights and we can give them that document…as well so they can archive that.”
Just like any African-American history exhibit includes materials about the KKK, the story of our people should include examples from the campaigns of the oppressors of LGBT Americans. In this one rare instance, I agree with PFOX.

PFOX: Duck Dynasty Has Awakened America To The Scourge Of Homofascism

The "ex-gay" wackos at PFOX have posted an op-ed on the Christian site LifeSiteNews.  An excerpt:
Those individuals who no longer want to act out homosexually, including minors who have been molested by a same-sex adult, are treated like the lepers in the Bible. They are seen as a dangerous threat to society, and their attempts to seek therapeutic help must be outlawed. Is bullying and persecution a gay civil right? No, it’s not; homofascism is wrong. Unless we stop it now as was accomplished with the Duck Dynasty backlash, homofascism will spread to persecute anyone who dares to disagree with the gay lobby, regardless if you live in Manhattan or the woods of Louisiana – no one will be spared. When irrational fears of male-female heterosexuality instigate demands for public censorship and obedience to the gay lobby, silence is not an option. All who call themselves Christians must speak out against injustice and homofascism. Otherwise, we will lose America – and our souls.

"Ex-Gays" File Discrimination Complaint With Department Of Justice

The "ex-gay" crackpots at PFOX have filed a federal discrimination complaint with the Department of Justice and the Department of Education because the Montgomery County, Maryland school board won't let them advocate for the torture and brainwashing of LGBT students. Via press release:
PFOX requests the federal agencies initiate an investigation into the discriminatory practices of Superintendent Starr and the Montgomery County school board and to oversee a remedial program to ensure diversity and non-discrimination against ex-gays. "Starr misused his official position as school superintendent to gain access to students and indoctrinate them with his prejudicial bias against the ex-gay community," said Regina Griggs, executive director of PFOX. "The Department of Justice has investigated complaints against schools for discriminating against transgenders -- those who have changed their gender identity. The ex-gay community -- those who have changed their sexual orientation -- asks for equal treatment from our federal government."

After PFOX distributed ex-gay flyers to high school students as part of the schools' flyer distribution program for non-profit organizations, Starr publicly denigrated PFOX and former homosexuals by calling the actions of PFOX "reprehensible and deplorable" and labeling the flyer's sexual orientation freedom stance as "a really, really disgusting message." "PFOX's flyers provided information on unwanted same-sex attractions, discouraged student name calling, and urged tolerance for former homosexuals," Griggs said. "Starr does not respect real diversity. As school superintendent, Starr's actions make it impossible for Montgomery County public schools to provide an atmosphere where everyone is treated fairly and with respect, and free from discrimination and abuse, as mandated by its sexual orientation nondiscrimination policy.
Griggs: "Their actions are reminiscent of the 1950s Jim Crow South, when public pools were closed rather than allow the participation of African-Americans."

VIRGINIA: "Ex-Gay" Wackos PFOX Want Universities To Torture LGBT Students

The crackpots at Voice Of The Voiceless went "undercover" at seven Virginia universities to see if they would be offered information abut "ex-gay" treatments if they asked for it. Of course, they were told to get lost, so now they are very upset. PFOX is joining in today via press release:
In response to an undercover investigation, Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays & Gays is urging the governor and legislature of Virginia to stop funding gay-transvestite centers at Virginia's public universities because they use the money to indoctrinate youth into changing their religion to gay-affirming faiths and actively seek to discredit the ex-gay community. "Virginia taxpayers shouldn't be forced to fund hatred and discrimination against ex-gays and people of faith," said Regina Griggs, executive director of PFOX. "These biased and discriminatory lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender/questioning centers hide ex-gay resources and insist that students adopt a 'gay-only' mentality that rejects those who have changed their orientation from gay to straight while celebrating those who have changed their gender identity. PFOX provides ex-gay brochures to many Virginia state universities with LGBTQ centers, yet the investigation shows that the centers refuse to make ex-gay resources readily available to students. PFOX's brochures urge tolerance for the ex-gay community, help students to prevent bullying at their schools, and explain gender identity confusion and unwanted same-sex attractions."
Those "gay-transvestite centers" are just regular offices that provide LGBT student services, obviously. But "transvestite" probably sounds worse than "transgender" in their delirious minds.

"Ex-Gay Awareness Dinner" Rejects Reporter From Right Wing Watch

Right Wing Watch reporter Peter Montgomery registered to attend PFOX's "First Annual Ex-Gay Awareness Month Dinner and Reception," which is being held at a super-secret location. Because, you know, oppression. Anyway, PFOX sent Montgomery his money back even though he told them that he merely intended to observe and not disrupt. Here's what he noticed on the registration form:
Code of Conduct -- PFOX requires attendees to sign and adhere to certain standards of conduct, and is not responsible for the individual conduct of attendees. We reserve the right to refuse any person to register or attend for any or no reason at our sole discretion, and disruptive conduct will be grounds for removal without a refund. Attendee agrees to uphold the principals [sic] and beliefs of Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays & Gays -- that we support the ex-gay community, ex-gay rights, and providing hope to those with unwanted same-sex attractions and gender confusion that change is possible. No cell phones, recording devices or photos may be used or taken during the event. I agree to the above conditions.
Crackpots Harry Jackson and Mat Staver (Liberty Counsel) will be presenting at the dinner. No photos! By the way, we would love it if an intrepid JMG reader somehow gained entry to this event. Make sure to dress very self-loathing if you manage to get a ticket.

Announcing The End Of Homosexuality

The crackpot "ex-gays" over at PFOX have announced "the end of homosexuality." Training sessions will be conducted by Richard "Tennis Racket" Cohen and Christopher Doyle.  For a mere $295, these totally and forever gay scamsters will train you to be a certified "Sexual Orientation Coach" via 12 thirty minutes sessions of de-gaying by means of beating pillows while screaming "Why, mommy, why?" and by "touch therapy" in which Cohen and Doyle will lovingly hold the clients in their completely homosexual arms while muttering gruff Jeff Stryker-isms into their ears. You really want it, don't you? Oh, wait. That was the old therapy. The new therapy will be performed online! Oh, the possibilities!
Do you lack therapeutic skills that can help your SSA clients resolve wounds that lead to homosexual desires? Are you looking for a clear, easy-to-understand model of therapy that you can guide your SSA clients and help them achieve their heterosexual potential? MOST importantly, are you looking for a training you can do online, from your home or place of work/school, that doesn't require you to spend hundreds of dollars in travel and hotel? Look no more! International Healing Foundation (IHF) has adapted its successful three-day Counselor Training Program, which has trained hundreds of therapists and counselors all over North America, South America, and Europe in the last five years, to a new online format. All participants who attend each class will receive a Certificate of Attendance for Sexual Orientation Training and Education. A Certificate as a Certified Sexual Orientation Coach will be mailed to those who complete all the requirements within one year of the final day of this training.
For an additional $100 donation they will send you a Don't Let Me Suck Your Cock wristband so that unwary suitors know to steer clear at the local dirty bookstore. How proactive!

"Ex-Gay" Crackpot Greg Quinlan: Obama, Kennedy, & Kagan Are All Secretly Gay

PREVIOUSLY ON JMG: Quinlan says gay men are sexual cannibals. Quinlan says he's gay because he was molested. Quinlan defends the "ex-gay" therapy of Ladybird Bachmann. Quinlan claims gay activist Wayne Besen threatened to inject him with AIDS. Quinlan testifies against New Jersey marriage. Quinlan works to increase attacks on LGBT children.  Quinlan attempts to distribute "ex-gay" flyers at public schools. Quinn demands that FDA cease linking gay sites in harm reduction campaign. Quinlan files SCOTUS brief in support of DOMA. Quinlan to speak at "Ex-Gay" Pride Month.

RELATED: After a brief marriage characterized by triumphant press releases, in 2008 Quinlan was divorced by his pretend wife, who presumably was sick and tired of never getting fucked. Quinlan likes to brag about what a butch stud he was, even when he was still taking cock up his ass:
“I wasn’t your flaming faggot, you know. I can say that because I’ve been there and done that. You know, the one’s whose wrists are so limp that when the wind blows they slap themselves in the face. I wasn’t one of them,” Quinlan said, as the small audience chuckled.

July Is "Ex-Gay" Pride Month

From the self-hating homosexuals at PFOX:
We are actively working to receive a Presidential Proclamation from The White House to commemorate Ex-Gay Pride Month and are speaking with members of Congress to recognize and participate in our first annual Awareness Event on the National Mall and Evening Dinner/Reception in Washington, DC. See below for more details on Ex-Gay Pride!

When is Ex-Gay Pride? VoV is strategically holding Ex-Gay Pride Month in July, after June's annual gay pride month, in order to draw attention to the ever-increasing phenomenon of ex-gays or former homosexuals; that is, individuals who formerly had unwanted same-sex attractions and/or lived an LGBT-identified life, but now do not. These individuals may be in heterosexual relationships, pursuing heterosexuality, or living celibate lives as former homosexuals.
A White House proclamation? Oh, my sides. The above was written by PFOX co-founder and now completely butch heterosexual Christopher Doyle, who threw a huge flaming hissy fit at me in Philadelphia a few years ago when I wouldn't stop taking his picture outside the NARTH convention. "Ssssstop it! I don't need thissssss!"
UPDATE: Doyle is ever so pissed that President Obama isn't taking his calls.

"Ex-Gay" Crackpots PFOX Ask Sen. Rob Portman And Wife To Join Their Group

The "ex-gay" crackpots at PFOX, who last month filed a Supreme Court brief against same-sex marriage, have issued a press release that both denounces Sen. Rob Portman and his wife and invites them to join their group. From PFOX head Regina Griggs:
My heart goes out to Sen. Portman and his wife. As the mother of a homosexual child, I understand how Sen. Portman feels. It is not easy, but as a responsible parent I must stand firm in my belief that marriage must remain as that of a man and a woman. To deliberately deny children a mother or father by supporting genderless marriage will create grave consequences. All children do best who live in a society where healthy relationships come from living with and being exposed to both genders. As the executive director of Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays & Gays (PFOX), I believe parents do not have to approve of everything their children do and say. Responsible parenting means loving and respecting our children in spite of our differences. Sen. Portman, we invite you to rethink your recent statement and for you and your wife to become honorary members of PFOX. We welcome you with open arms.
We'd love to hear from the "homosexual child" of Regina Griggs.

HomoQuotable - Christopher Doyle

"When I was a young man, I lived a gay life. But my dream was to marry a woman and have a family, so I sought to change my homosexual attractions. Today, I'm living my dream! I am married to a beautiful woman, and together we have three wonderful children. As a psychotherapist, I am passionate about helping other persons who struggle with their homosexual feeling. Some want to change, while others just want to be heard, understood, and loved. I believe in equality and respect for all views of sexuality, and that's why I defend everyone's right to live their lives according to their own values. Although the gay life wasn't for me, I sincerely love the entire Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) community." - "Ex-gay" crackpot Christopher Doyle, who loves our people so fucking much, he earns a living advocating against our civil rights, working to ensure that our youth are bullied and beaten in schools, and torturing and brainwashing our most troubled people.

HomoQuotable - Christopher Doyle

"The mission of SPLC's hate campaign is three-fold: 1) Character Assassination: spreading false and misleading information on their website and via the media about therapists who offer professional services to individuals with unwanted SSA; 2) Fabricate evidence and embellish the facts about the so-called 'dangers' of sexual orientation change effort (SOCE) therapy; and 3) Recruit vulnerable and disgruntled clients to take legal action against organizations that offer assistance for those struggling with unwanted SSA in hopes to put them out of business. The SPLC's method of character assassination is simple. Repeat a lie loud enough and long enough, and people will believe it. I personally have experienced this issue from both sides – I once lived a gay life, and today, I have a wife and children and no longer experience homosexual feelings." - Christopher Doyle, director of the "ex-gay" brainwashing and child torture clinic, International Healing Foundation, writing for the Christian Post.

RELATED: Doyle also is (or was) on the board of directors for PFOX.  His current group was founded by freakazoid crackpot Richard Cohen, whose "therapy" includes beating pillows with a tennis racket while screaming "Why? Mommy, why?"  Two years ago I encountered Doyle in the parking lot of the Philadelphia hotel hosting that year's NARTH convention, where he had a sputtering, fluttering, big girl attack when I took his photo. (Because he is totally now a masc/musc pussy-loving cured straight dude.) When I kept taking photos, Doyle put his hand on his hip and hissed, "I don't need this. Why don't you just sssssssstop!"
UPDATE: Doyle has responded to me in the comments at the Christian Post: "Wow Joe, you're so intolerant. Don't you have anything better to do with your time than protest and hate people?"  This, from the man who literally lobbies against anti-bullying laws and enables the gay-bashing of children.
