HomoQuotable - Greg Quinlan

"The [PFOX 'ex-gay'] billboard speaks to the scientific fact that to quote the American Psychiatric Association, 'there still remains no replicated scientific studies supporting any specific biological etiology for homosexuality.' There is zero evidence that a person is born a homosexual. In fact, Dr. Francis Collins of the human genome project with the National Institute of Health, who was appointed by President Clinton to do the project said homosexuality was 'not hard-wired.' The reason we see so much of a proliferation of homosexuality in our society now is because we live in a sex-saturated culture. The first century church thrived in a hyper-sexualized homosexual culture in an age of sexual anarchy. So can the 21st century church. We do not need to compromise our message in order to bring homosexuals into the church or accommodate them. The truth is the truth, and if we love someone, we will tell them the truth that homosexuality is destructive to someone. I know because I watched 100 of my friends die of AIDS." - Former PFOX president Greg Quinlan, in a World Net Daily piece that does not mention that the model on the billboard is not a twin and is in fact proudly and openly gay. Quinlan is currently head of the virulently anti-gay New Jersey Family Policy Council.

"Ex-Gay" Awareness Month Is Coming

Last year's big "ex-gay" event was a hilarious disaster in which fewer than ten people showed up after American Family Association radio shrieker Sandy Rios had predicted it would draw "thousands of ex-gays." That failure came after they had canceled "Ex-Gay Pride Month" due to "anti-ex-gay extremism." Several weeks later a massive crowd of tens attended an "Ex-Gay Awareness Dinner" held at a secret bunker deep under Washington DC. Anyway, they're trying again this year and the announced speakers include Matt Barber, Peter Sprigg, Christopher Doyle, and Greg Quinlan, who once told a television audience that Truth Wins Out founder Wayne Besen had threatened to "inject me with AIDS."

PFOX: Duck Dynasty Has Awakened America To The Scourge Of Homofascism

The "ex-gay" wackos at PFOX have posted an op-ed on the Christian site LifeSiteNews.  An excerpt:
Those individuals who no longer want to act out homosexually, including minors who have been molested by a same-sex adult, are treated like the lepers in the Bible. They are seen as a dangerous threat to society, and their attempts to seek therapeutic help must be outlawed. Is bullying and persecution a gay civil right? No, it’s not; homofascism is wrong. Unless we stop it now as was accomplished with the Duck Dynasty backlash, homofascism will spread to persecute anyone who dares to disagree with the gay lobby, regardless if you live in Manhattan or the woods of Louisiana – no one will be spared. When irrational fears of male-female heterosexuality instigate demands for public censorship and obedience to the gay lobby, silence is not an option. All who call themselves Christians must speak out against injustice and homofascism. Otherwise, we will lose America – and our souls.

Tens Attend "Ex-Gay Awareness" Soiree

The Christian Post reports that "about 60 Christian leaders and ex-gay individuals" attended yesterday's "First Annual Ex-Gay Awareness Dinner," which was held in a super-secret bunker deep under Washington DC.
"When gays come out of the closet they are celebrated in the movies and on TV, when an ex-gay tells his story, he's mocked, ridiculed, defamed – and ask Trace McNutt, he gets death threats," Christopher Doyle, co-founder and president of ex-gay group Voice of the Voiceless, explained. He called for the movement to go on the offensive with the message that people can determine their sexual identity. Doyle emphasized youth outreach, especially to Christians who suffer from same-sex attraction (SSA) but want to still maintain their faith. "Somewhere along the journey, they listened to the lie that they had to rid themselves of all homosexual feelings in order to be loved by their church, their community, and an opposite sex partner, so they gave up and went into the gay lifestyle," the VoV president explained.
Keynote speakers at the dinner were hate group leaders Bishop Harry Jackson and Liberty Counsel president Mat Staver.  Performing the apparent winner of their "ex-gay theme song" contest was Dennis Jernigan, who debuted the surely catchy Rise Up.  Also speaking was PFOX president Greg Quinlan, who regularly testifies against LGBT rights before state legislatures and who once told a television audience that Truth Wins Out founder Wayne Besen had threatened to "inject him with AIDS."

Hate Groups Are Furious About CBS Show Featuring "Ex-Gay" Serial Killer

"Ex-gay" crackpot Greg Quinlan is super-upset about this week's episode of Criminal Minds, which featured a serial killer who'd undergone abusive "sexual conversion therapy."  Via World Net Daily:
The show portrays members of the ex-”gay” community as ticking time bombs who are potential serial killers. In one scene, a computer screen shot features a report portraying “The Ex-Gay Movement.” The description states that cautioning children to not have homosexual thoughts was harmful and that individuals merely claimed they had changed their same-sex attraction.

“It is obvious that the ex-gay movement has become such a threat to the homosexual agenda that their allies in the media and entertainment industry now feel they have to work so diligently to discredit us,” said Quinlan. “Why is this so high on their agenda? Is CBS now so desperate to try to get any kind of market share in primetime that they have to go this route?
Also screaming about the show are hate group leaders Linda Harvey (Mission America) and Mat Staver (Liberty Counsel).
“It is shocking that they would be so blatant and so insensitive to simply disregard the reality of what takes place during this change therapy,” Staver said. “They’re looking at some therapies that may have used shock treatment three decades ago that are no longer used. That’s like looking at somebody who performed a lobotomy on someone years ago and suggest that this is modern practice for the conversion therapy movement. It is simply inaccurate and irresponsible for the media to portray something that was done many years ago as being part of modern therapy techniques like this particular episode does.” He explained the reality is that conversion therapy is no different than any other type of counseling being done today.
The third clip below is the show's climax.

"Ex-Gays" File DOMA Brief

Parents & Friends Of Ex-Gays (PFOX) have filed a Supreme Court brief against the overturn of DOMA. The group is headed by lifelong homosexual Greg Quinlan, who also chairs the anti-gay New Jersey Family Policy Council. In the brief PFOX cites the 2009 DC Superior Court ruling that "ex-gays" are to be afforded anti- discrimination protection as a distinct sexual orientation. The brief goes on to declare that nobody is born gay, that homosexuality is "chosen," and that all the members of PFOX can be found trolling the glory holes at dirty bookstores and truck stops with Eugene Delgaudio on any given night.*

PFOX goes on to cite NARTH, whose co-founder was busted for hiring lithe young Latino prostitutes, and JONAH, who is being sued for asking male clients to expose their genitals and grope themselves in order to "get in touch with their masculinity." Also cited is "ex-gay counselor" Richard Cohen, who asks clients to beat a pillow with a tennis racket while screaming, "Why, Mommy? Why did you make me gay?"  Hit the first link and read all the delusions. (Tipped by JMG reader Str8Grandmother)

*Not really, but probably true anyway.

HomoQuotable - Greg Quinlan

"As a former homosexual who was sexually molested as a child, I urge the Boy Scouts of America to reinforce their policy prohibiting homosexuals as Scout leaders entrusted with the care of impressionable young boys and teens. My own sexual molestation as a youth was a contributing factor to my homosexual behavior as I got older. I left homosexuality only when I saw over 100 of my friends die of AIDS. I regret all those years of living homosexually -- time wasted when I could have been dating and experiencing a relationship with a woman, gotten married, and raised children together. But sexual molestation and homosexuality raped me of those precious years, which should have been the best years of my life." - Greg Quinlan, president of the "ex-gay" hate group PFOX and lifelong homosexual.

HomoQuotable - Greg Quinlan

"We are in a very precarious situation right now, so I don't know that the fears are justified from homosexual activists now who are afraid that the court won't use this to change the course of this nation and our ethics.  We're seeing over and over again that there are places where the Constitution doesn't matter, the will of the people doesn't matter, majority vote doesn't matter.  So I am concerned about the direction we are headed.  Mr. Olsen and his colleague are doing everything that they can to normalize homosexual behavior, which is an attack on society as a whole and on our faith." - PFOX president and "ex-gay" crackpot Greg Quinlan, who is worried about SCOTUS.

HomoQuotable - Greg Quinlan

"The homosexual push for 'equal' marriage," otherwise known as genderless marriage, can only lead to a ban on heterosexual rights. With a President in power who endorses gay causes and readily misuses executive orders, and emboldened by their numerous wins for gay rights at the legislative and judicial level, homosexuals have now moved beyond equal rights to the 'more equal than you' level. As a result, gay organizations are working to ban that practice they fear the most -- heterosexual behavior.

"The culture war is not slowing down; it's just beginning to gain steam as gay organizations turn to anti-heterosexual legislation, mandatory public approval of sodomy, federal funding of gay youth activist organizations and homosexual initiatives, required government training against 'homophobia,' 'heterosexism,' and 'transphobia,' etc., etc. This is more than a culture war; it is a war for our very own freedoms -- a war for the character and future of our nation. Homofascism will soon be, if it is not already, the greatest threat to our individual liberties in this country. So-called equality marriage is just the beginning." - PFOX president and lifetime cocksucker Greg Quinlan, in a press release published by Christian Newswire.

"Ex-Gay" Crackpots Demand CDC Stop Promoting Pro-Gay Websites

The self-hating "ex-gay" nutcases at PFOX have sent a letter to the CDC demanding that the federal government cease promoting websites that don't endorse the brainwashing and brutal torture of LGBT people.
The website also contains links to anti-heterosexual publications and organizations, such as PFLAG, which openly denigrates former homosexuals, and the infamous anti-ex-gay publication Just the Facts, which advocates against Christian ex-gay ministries and lists only those religious organizations that affirm homosexual behavior. Why is the federal government spreading intolerance against the ex-gay community and Christians who support the religious testimony of former homosexuals? Your response did not address our complaint that the CDC is engaging in sexual orientation discrimination.

You further claim that “information on ex-gays and conversion therapy is not included,” but Just the Facts does exactly that – warn others against the use of therapy for diminishing unwanted same-sex attractions. Please read your website. The promotion of these negative anti-heterosexual comments spreads hate towards the ex-gay community. Is the federal government singling out a certain class of people to denigrate? We also take issue with your link to the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), which creates unsafe communities by promoting intolerance against the ex-gay community and actively targeting Christian organizations who disagree with their political beliefs.
PFLAG, an organization of straight allies, is "anti-heterosexual"? PFOX is beyond despicable.

Federal Court Dismisses Libel Suit Against PFOX "Ex-Gay" Activist Greg Quinlan

After wacko "ex-gay" weirdo Greg Quinlan told a live television audience that Truth Wins Out founder Wayne Besen had threatened to "inject him with AIDS," Besen sued him for libel when Quinlan refused to retract his statement. That suit was thrown out this week by a federal judge.
Although Besen argued the contrary, Hudson found that Besen qualifies as a public figure as a chief spokesman for a nonprofit advocacy group. The judge noted that "plaintiff recognizes the public 'dispute,' in which both he and defendant Quinlan are actively involved, concerning the question of whether one's 'sexual orientation can be changed.'" "As a public figure, plaintiff must show that the allegedly defamatory statements were made with knowing falsity or with reckless disregard for the truth," Hudson wrote. "'Reckless conduct is not measured by whether a reasonably prudent man would have published, or would have investigated before publishing. There must be sufficient evidence to permit the conclusion that the defendant in fact entertained serious doubts as to the truth of his publication.' As the Fourth Circuit has observed, 'establishing actual malice is no easy task, because the defamation plaintiff bears the burden of proof by clear and convincing evidence."
Quinlan also heads the New Jersey Family Policy Council and testified before the state legislature in opposition to same-sex marriage.

"Ex-Gay" Group PFOX Issues Flyer For Distribution At Day Of Silence

"PFOX is calling on students to distribute flyers promoting acceptance of ex-gays. Former homosexuals and their supporters are ridiculed and forced to live in silence. Our nation's schools deny students with unwanted same-sex attractions any support or fact-based information that feelings can and do change. We encourage everyone to print these flyers and distribute them at their schools on April 20 and whenever a gay event is featured in order to promote diversity and safety. Our children deserve no less." - PFOX president Greg Quinlan. "Ex-Gay" Group Seek To Increase Abuse Of LGBT Children On Day Of Silence

"April 20 is the annual ‘Day of Silence’ when student and teacher members of homosexual clubs in schools across the country remain silent for the school day in order to bring attention to intolerance against homosexuals. Since members of these gay affirming clubs agree to remain silent for the day, April 20 is the time to distribute ex-gay information without interference or harassment from any gay activist faculty or GSA clubs. HomoQuotable - Greg Quinlan

"I do not believe this Field Poll of 59% of California regular voters support same-sex marriage. That just flies in the face of the two real polls, two elections -- one to change the laws in California, the other one to change the state Constitution. The California voters want marriage to be one man, one woman -- period. In spite of the massive amounts of money, of being out-stanced and out-maneuvered, and with foot soldiers on the ground, the homosexual agenda still cannot get a majority of the voters in any state, anywhere in this nation to approve homosexual marriage -- not one time." - "Ex-gay" leader Greg Quinlan, claiming that yesterday's poll was faked.
